Caffe Nero in Preston

Simple, small and cute cafe, peaceful and calm atmosphere, kind staff

Throughout the years this has been my favourite of the Caffé Neros to eat, drink, and socialise with a friend at. It is ideal. Plus, the views from the historic upstairs of the building, of Friargate Harris-side in almost it's entirety, are wonderful and worth checking out!

… everything is lovely in Caffè Nero ,the best part of this coffee shop is that still they keep it every thing classic 💙

Nice atmosphere, good place to meet friends for a chat, nice to rest whilst shopping or just give yourself a treat.

Bad service. Dirty. Miserable serving staff. Maybe don't drop the food off the plate when serving it? A shame. Used to be good and the coffee is fine.

Schnell von Bahnhof erreichbar wird man zügig und freundlich bedient, erhält das reguläre Caffè nero Programm geboten. Auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus kann bei schönen Wetter nicht nur die Sonne genossen werden, sondern auch die Eiweißen und Getränke.

Nice relaxing music, food good, staff service excellent, 4 stars not 5 though as there was cardboard stacked up in front of a fire exit

Toilets out of order for years being used as storage instead.

No problem with the coffee but the store is filthy. First thing in the morning, too. Rant aimed at the company, not the staff.

Nice staff but way understaffed. They are run off their feet. This means that tables not cleared and floor and tables filthy!!! An overall bad experience although coffee was good. I don't believe the floor had been cleaned since the day before. Toilets awful but no female staff on to check them.

Been in about 10 times in the last few weeks and every time we’ve been in it’s absolutely filthy,needs a right deep clean all tables never wiped floor is absolutely disgusting and it definitely does put you off

Love this place. Staff are friendly amazing and helpful. Always polite and nothing too much trouble. Drinks are fab and flavorsome and reasonably priced. Lovely to see this venue helping out the homeless also . Gratitude and kindness by this staff is awesome Always a pleasure to be served by these staff

Busy, but still room to sit. Staff lovely as ever. Coffee fab. Only slight complaint was that the toilet could do with a once over, broken loo roll holder on floor and tissues too.

Just called in for a coffee nothing wrong with the coffee & service. Sat up stairs the sun shining through the windows & you could see all the dust on the (I will call it the ledge) on the chairs not been dusted for along time. Toilet clean but rusty bin not very nice.

It's a cafe Nero you can't go wrong. Hot choc is always my go to as nowhere does them better! Great staff too. Quick service.

Coffee excellent. Service great. Carrot cake moist and tasty well worth stopping for a coffee and cake while out shopping A little busy but soon served.

It's my favourite place to read, the staff are so nice. One time I fell asleep in the chair and I had a dream that cafe nero got destroyed by a giant boulder

Coffee is good, seats are threadbare but comfortable. Unfortunately sat upstairs, everytime a member of staff use the staff only door, we had minor heart attacks because the door slams so loud. Not good.

Friday 11th August. Just filthy as always. One member of staff on was on her phone. Had to asked for the table to be cleaned, which it was with little enthusiasm. I'm just so disappointed, I've been going to this cafe since my son was born 14 years ago. I love the coffee, it's just sadly lacking in TLC and cleanliness. RIP cafe nero.

Just visited the cafe, its dirty, run down and stinks of dirt. I don't get why, this place is busy but I cam only assume its due to where its located, its got nothing to do with the atmosphere or interior. Honestly Nero, get a grip. Absolute hole

2 girls on till made 5 people wait without letting us know the payment machine wasn’t working whilst they sat chatting and taking selfies. Need to learn some customer service and stop wasting people’s time. Very unprofessional.

Good customer service, decently priced and a variety of food and drinks that cater for most people. Spacious and clean

Dirty. Requires investment. Upstairs closed. They generate loads of customers but the place is the pits. Decorate and refurbish for goodness sake. The pandemic is over.

Typical Café Nero. A shame the disabled toilets were out of order as the stairs are a nightmare. Apart from that. A good brew and slice of cake. Typically priced for a high street coffee house.

The staff are lovely and friendly and very polite and they make me a lovely chocolate milkshake.and a frothy cappuci No.they work very hard l come here to preston all the time.thank you.

Their dishwasher was inoperable so the coffee was served in cardboard cups and they had sold out of toasted teacakes. Not a very good experience at all.

I'm not sure what has happened since my last visit but the entire place was dirty and felt uncared for. However, the staff were friendly, the coffee was great, and the cake was tasty. Just work on the atmosphere and tidy up the place because I do like to come here.

Nice food and a wide range of drinks. Good customer service. Brilliant hot drinks which are well made. Love their tuna melt panini. My wife enjoys their cheese toastie and the kids love the cake. Good size hot drinks too. Staff are very friendly. However, feel sorry for them as there are not many staff serving customers so they seem overwhelmed during busy times. This is my favourite coffee shop in Preston. Better than Costa in my honest opinion. Also better than the other Café Nero on Church Street in Preston.

The cafe a bit strong for me but it is really cafe, I will try another coffee, next time but the service, is good and there food is very good, they have toilets, downstairs, and up

Caffè Nero has really been able to maintain its uniqueness. It feels very continental and authentic, from chalkboard menus offering alternative lifestyle options for vegans and lactose intolerant, to the sounds of jazz and blues music like Billie Holiday playing in the back, making the whole experience feel super cool.

Good service, but thought might have offered to help me carry out due to my disability. The drink Mango and pineapple was really refreshing. Only other comment is gift cards are poor, you cannot track what is left on them.

There new drinks are good a like the ice coffee drinks and others and there cake.

Staff are always polite and friendly and is always clean.

Facilities are clean, staff seemed rushed / understaffed but friendly. Iced Latte wasn't great.

Fast friendly service in a hot enviroment. The Barista even remembered my dink surprising I don't go in that often.

Caffe Nero is probably my favourite go to chain coffee shop, the coffee is generally always well made, usually served at a good temperature and the discounts via the app are a huge bonus!

A nice, clean, dog friendly coffee shop. Staff were well mannered and efficient, tables were all clear and clean, and there was no wait for our hot chocolates.

I enjoy a Flat White n Brownie from Nero's ...so popped in whilst in Preston Young Lady Serving here is a credit to the coffee chain ...great and quick service ..seems to be alot of regulars and she knows exactly what they want ..this is lovely to see Also creates a very warm and friendly atmosphere

Had a very average mocha here to be treated with little to no hospitality and a not so friendly member of staff. The wifi was also very tedious and annoying to connect to. However, there was a friendly barista and they played some good music too. Overall would definitely not return to this cafe though, not impressed

Just my type of coffee lovely and strong the staff make it though very busy but remember me and know my order. I like to eat outside and watch the world go by.

The staff are always so polite and friendly, collected a too good to go bag from here a few times, just been in this evening Friday 25th June 6pm and two staff members - a gentleman and a lady were so polite and full of smiles. Only wish the Fishergate Caffè Nero store could take a note out of their book as I refuse to use their store any longer as one member of staff in particular has been rude on more than one occasion and seems doing her job is asking more than necessary. Keep up the great work 😁

Seemed to be struggling with enforcing the Covid distancing rules, a mess between ordering, collecting a click and collect. Coffee wasn't up to normal Caffe Nero standard either

I enjoy stopping at Nero for a coffee. The only thing annoying is many people on their own sit at a table for 4, so when you go in with other people you can struggle to find a place for all 4 of you.

Lovely coffee, always been my favourite, ofcourse it depends on the store and who has made it. Friargate Nero is much better than fishergate, the staff too. Luke is amazing, Lewis always friendly and up for a laugh. New manager seems to know what she's doing too which helps 😂
