The best restaurants serving Default food in Hoole Cheshire West and Chester North West

Stopped here for lunch after a tour of the University of Chester. Wanted to experience the city outside of campus and this stop was a treat! The delicious sandwiches were enjoyed by our entire family, but more importantly we were greeted with a smile, engaged in conversation throughout our time in the shop and genuinely thanked for stopping in. Our prospective student will definitely be finding her way back to Sarnies during her studies!!

Mi hermano gemelo Stephen y yo visitamos Chester durante dos días para disfrutar de los excelentes pubs que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer y The Flookersbrook Pub fue uno de esos pubs que visitamos. El pub se ve bien, un interior agradable, buena decoración y mobiliario, incluido un bar de servicio de aspecto atractivo y muchas opciones de asientos repartidas por todo este pub, tanto dentro como fuera, con vistas a la concurrida y bulliciosa Hoole Road. Estuvimos aquí un miércoles por la noche, recibidos calurosamente por un miembro muy agradable del personal que nos sirvió una cerveza a cada uno, optamos por una lager, se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones, frías y espumosas y simplemente nos relajamos y tomamos el gran pub en el que estábamos. Mi cerveza era realmente buena, ligera y lupulada, muy fácil de beber, una infusión realmente refrescante. Seguimos adelante después de nuestras deliciosas cervezas y como en todas las visitas a aquí nos lo pasamos genial. El pub Flookersbrook es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Halkyn Road. Definitivamente vale la pena echarle un vistazo si estás en la zona.

Honestly maybe Chesters best kept secret. We love small plate restaurant / bars but this one nailed it. We tried 8 plates, all amazing, daily menu and the wine pairings were bob on. No reservations just roll up and enjoy! Great vibes

You won't get better sandwiches anywhere else in Chester

I had the maple syrup waffles and it was incredible. There isn't a lot of seating, but we were lucky enough to get one. The food arrived quickly and the staff were lovely

Terrible. Ordered food (only 1 other table in), after 40 mins the waitress told us the chef had burnt it and was he was recooking our order. Took another 40 mins for food to arrive-an hour and a half wait for 3 meals! (other tables that arrived after us had had 2 courses and left). What made it worse was the staff were blanking us and not apologising or explaining what was going. Complained at the end and still no apology. Had a bad experience here in 2020 so they obviously haven't improved.

As other reviews have said, food is decent, pretty standard, staff were really nice but prices rather high.

Favourite place to hang out in Hoole. Jarron and his team are the best. Recently had my birthday celebrations there and they looked after us so well. Not only is the beer and wine great but the margs are amazing too!

Amazing food. Baguettes look amazing. We tried the scotch eggs and sausage rolls which were delicious

Didn't have food, Every time I go to Chester, I visit this pub. Very friendly place.

Just had the most fabulous and efficient service from Andy and Staff. We had a huge order that was prepared effectively and on time. The variety of food was delicious and piping hot. We had a bonus of Large portion of Extra chips. Phenomenal Service. Many thanks from 40 very Happy Bowlers at Coalville Town Bowls Club.

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.
