Deli-Vert in Cheshire West and Chester

Fantastic and delicious food. Sausage rolls and pies are amazing, as are the cakes, cheese and bread. And absolutely everything else!

An excellent delicatessen with some really good fayre. The black pudding scotch eggs are very tasty. Put them in a microwave for 1 minute even if you have left them in the fridge overnight. It is a perfect breakfast snack.

Use this Deli on a regular basis, ideal to pop in for a quick sandwich and coffee. Also nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Lovely staff, always helpful and to top it off beautiful home made cakes and first class fresh coffee. Always good to see an authentic independent business on the high street. Keep up the good work.

This deli is in prime location and I guess still open from foot fall not repeat custom. On pay day as a treat I decided to buy a homemade cooked cottage pie for the family. I say a treat as it was £12 for 2.... Looked forward to it watched it heat up in the oven and tucked in.... the kids went first proclaiming it’s awful, don’t be silly I said after a mouthful and spat it out. The meat tasted of burnt fat along with the mash, no gravy no veg no flavour just a half hearted attempt and hope for the best. A hint to the chef try the food before you dish out, and please don’t insult us the residents of Hoole with over inflated priced food and pass it off as homemade. Didn’t return to shop as decided never to shop again, besides who wants to pay £5 for a sandwich...

Just a fantastic deli. The choice of fresh, homemade products is very good, and the staff are really pleasant. Ideal to visit when you want that out of the norm item.

Only popped in for a cuppa, lovely people and place,nice brew too, happy days, will return for food at some point, some nice homemade choices.

Great little deli with lots of fresh food, sandwiches, breads, cold meat, cheese, jams, posh crisps, local ice cream and their delicious sausage rolls! Always service with a smile too. A must try.

bought the lamb samosas - £1 each and they were absolutely delicious !They were definately homemade, full of lamb and vegetables and very crispy .I had them with some spicy rice and mint dip and it was a lovely meal.Lots of interesting homemade food - makes a change from the bland beige food that you can get anywhere - will be trying lots of other dishes from here

Forgive the cheesy title - but they do sell great cheese.. amongst all the other amazing stuff. The staff are lovely, the attention to detail is spot on, and Hoole is very lucky to have such a wonderful offering. Pea and ham Wednesdays is great mid-week but try the Tomato soup on a Monday too, its just as nice.

Deli-Vert is only small but it's a little treasure trove for foodies and the sandwiches are possibly the best in Chester! In the summer it's a nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by.

I'm not going to write an angry review but more of a disappointed review due to the attention when ordering food. Now normally the food is pretty good and sometimes things go smoothly but i have found that the staff don't listen when an order is placed. I recently went in and asked for two sandwiches on white bread, A ham and cheese sandwhich and a turkey salad no onions. When placing the order i asked for no Butter on the Ham and Cheese and the kind women repeated the order "So ham and cheese no butter, and turkey salad with no onions" i said that's correct and she said so one without butter and one with. I confirmed this and she went to make the food. When i returned home and checked over the order i found that mine had butter on. Normally i just go fine and try and take it off but this time i was disappointed with the service, i return the item to the store and explained, the staff looked shocked and i just explained i can't have butter on my sandwich. They were very apologetic and said that i thought i asked for butter, when i tried to explain that i said no i asked for no butter they cut me off making me feel like i had done something wrong, One of the other members of staff who i'm guessing was the manager then said that they don't put butter on any of the orders not unless the customer asks for it, I tried to say that every time I've ordered something it's been wrong and she cut me off again and again. I felt that this was rude and it really annoyed me. They offered a refund for the item which i took and i left. I'm not going to be ordering again from Deli-Vert even tho it's a nice place mainly because i'm tired of them getting a simple order wrong every time. I'm just very disappointed in the service and the way the staff can be at times

I've used this Deli for years for lunch times meal deals, can not fault the food but the prices have crept up quite substantially. What is also quite frustrating is when buying a butted roll/baguette only half is ever buttered. Not sure why. The owner does now have a Costa to deal with a few doors down but I don't think the answer is such big increases.

Visited for lunch few sandwiches and pies after arrival on Tuesday nice and tasty nice polite lad behind counter had a chat with wish there was good delis like this in my home town

This is THE deli I go to for my home baked quiches and sausage rolls, the goats cheese and red onion being my fave quiche and the traditional roll my preferred option. Friendly knowledgeable staff ,and shelves full ofgood coffees and teas also a wide selection of quality cheeses both local and European

Visited the deli today with my young son as decided to give it another chance after previous visit where I was satisfied with the products but found it to be over priced. I was "served" by a very brusk owner who made several mistakes with pricing and my order but instead of being apologetic, was accusatory in tone and most unhelpful. A very unpleasant shopping experience! I will not be giving my custom to such a rude, aggressive and impatient person who needs to treat customers with courtesy and respect. Dreadful customer service: what a horrid man and I am clearly not the first customer to feel compelled to leave a negative review. Such a pity as I love shopping in Hoole and have always had a positive experience and a warm welcome.

We were staying nearby and called in on our way home. The choice and quality of the food was amazing. We bought filled rolls for our journey home and mini quiches, pork pie and scotch eggs and home made coleslaw for our tea. All the food was delicious. We wish we lived near this deli.

I tasted some good salads, drank good coffee, took home some quiche, scotch eggs, freshly baked rolls and some wine. This is an expensive, but very good little deli in Hoole.

No puedo elogiar lo suficiente Deli Vert. La comida es deliciosa, fresca y vale la pena cada céntimo. Me encanta aquí y siempre hacen fila recto para que cada vez que visite Chester. El queso de cabra y chorizo quiche tartaleta son particularmente impresionantes! No puedo esperar para mi próxima visita!

Paramos aquí para conseguir comida para comer en la calle para un picnic. El servicio era bueno y el personal amable. La comida era buena y el precio no estaba mal. El bocadillo de pollo de la Coronación era realmente bueno. Es un muy buen lugar para conseguir un almuerzo para llevar.

Un encantador Delicatessen con el personal es realmente atento y una buena selección. El pan fresco es siempre fuera de este mundo. Lo único que marca es que es un poquito caro. Realmente probar y el apoyo de empresas locales y pequeñas, pero es bastante...

Una pequeña tienda para recoger el almuerzo o unos pocos artículos diferentes de alta calidad. Principalmente conservantes y queso! Pero el pan recién hecho salchichas son para morirse y lo recomiendo encarecidamente el Sweet chilli mermelada salchichas roll que casi cada semana.

No he utilizado Trip Advisor antes, pero después de esta experiencia decidí llevar a que después de mi experiencia horrible aquí. Llegué en un sábado por la tarde con mi marido. Cuando yo estaba preparado a la orden, el intermediario Tendríais partibles en mí, no me hacen sentir como en casa, de hecho, era bastante desilusionarse por su actitud hacia un cliente que paga. Él fue pisoteando por la tienda la murmuración profanities bajo su soplo porque yo pedí un sandwich para mi marido. Su comportamiento hacia mí era muy agresivos y no podía esperar a salir. Yo nunca entrar en ese lugar espantoso nuevo y nunca me lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

We have just had my Mum's 90th Birthday Party . With the very excellent chicken casserole prepared by Deli Vert, the meal for 70 people went very well. We had looked at what the supermarkets had to offer, but found nothing we had confidence in, or wanted to serve. Simon in Deli Vert was most helpful and we were very pleased he used local traders to buy his ingredients. All supplied in foil containers for us to heat. We would definitely recommend this to others, it was excellent value.

Wow ,what a great selection of home baked goods,interesting pickles ,chutneys etc. The shop is so nicely laid out you cant resist browsing and then the food itself is also irresistible. Just popped in when we visited Hoole for the first time and would go out of my way to return. The owner was lovely too ,very pleasant ad helpful. Put it on your list !

You will not get a tastier fresher sandwich/ baguette or roll anywhere else in Chester. Lovely staff, beautiful food excellent selection of meats & cheeses , pickles & jams etc. very yummy cakes & nibbles (especially the tiffin) :-)

This is the 3rd time I have visited in 4 days. Hands down the best sandwich / deli shop in Chester! (I have eaten at pretty much all of them) Service in fantastic, the man that owns it is really willing to go the extra mile to ensure the experience is incomparable. Home made sausage roles are a must. Baguettes are easily the best around. The turkey bacon and emmental cheese is spot on but my personal favourite is the pastrami. Can't rate this deli high enough.

Wonderful spot for fresh, local produce, whether it be lunchtime snack or pop in the over wholesome tasty meals. A regular place I pass and the smells usually drag me in!!

I often pop into deli, every time I'm in Hoole in fact. They make the freshest, tastiest and highest quality sandwiches and baguettes. They always have a tasty selection of local special cheeses, meats and other produce. I like their bakes and pies and enjoy browsing the store for cupboard treats.Its the best deli in Chester in my opinion. I've been going about 6 years regularly.

This little shop has such a good range of goods. Many are home made and it is a delight to find such a range combined with pleasant service clise to home.

A lovely little deli in Hoole. Often pop in for something for lunch or a snack to take away. You can go healthy with the sandwiches or salads, or be tempted by the lovely sausage rolls (onion and marmalade is delicious) and bite-sized snacks (tiffin, rocky road, flapjack, etc). It may be a small point, but it also feels good giving a bit of business to the small independent shop rather than the big supermarkets or chain stores. If you can support "local" then do.

Their choice of sandwiches and salad boxes are delish! Lunch time never tasted as good as here.Personal fave is the TBE (turkey,bacon and emmental cheese) or a salad box with turkey.You will NOT be disappointed. If you are then there something wrong with you.
