The best restaurants serving British food in Hoole Cheshire West and Chester North West

Nice, slightly upmarket pub serving great food. The share plates and pizza were great, the beer was cold and staff friendly. It was so good we stayed a couple of hours longer to do the trivia quiz.

After visiting last year and using instead of local hotel each night. The food was not good. Fish and chips. Fish were burnt on the outside and watery/ mushy on the inside. Not many chips either. Young girl asked if ok told her what we thought but not interested or trained for criticism. Will be using hotel from now on.

Visiting the area dropped in for dinner and a pint. Ordered meal was on the table within 15 mins. Good meal and perfect served pint. Bar staff polite and attentive. Plenty of wide screen tvs to watch sport and pool table if you don't.
