The best restaurants serving Default food in Crewe East Cheshire East North West

Visited today with a friend . She had got the sparking afternoon tea voucher as a 60th birthday gift. We were quickly seated by a fairly friendly lady. Tea arrived (from a selection of about 8/9) and was very nice . Room was clean and crockery lovely. Lady asked did ask if any allergies . As we walked in I noticed that every table had left a lot of food which was unusual for me? Anyway when ours arrived I immediately could see why. We weren’t talked through it or told what the cakes were (some we still don’t know), no menu either. When a hotel charging £31 per person you at least bake your own scones or buy the ones that aren’t 4 for £1.50 in Aldi/iceland. Little Victoria sponges were as hard as rocks. Shop bought Scones made worse by being served with buttercream rather than clotted cream?! I took a bite out of curtesy but it was shocking. I LOVE afternoon tea and would never ever not take left overs (if there was any) home but we left 3 and a half scones out of 4 & over 70% of the other cakes. Shocking. Lady didn’t ask how it was so we just left. We noted a table of 3 left most of theirs too - I heard them complain but the lady just kind of shrugged I don’t think there was much she could do? Would defiantly never go back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We had afternoon tea at rookery 3 weeks ago and that was a million miles better . To the hotel- please listen to these reviews. This was a special birthday and we felt dreadful that someone had spent £60 on shocking food

Me and my daughter was scammed out of £600 for a caravan the landlord didnt even own!!! Told me pay it back and still hasnt and blocked me

Proper rated this place on the last order as it was amazing kebab but when I called to say naan bread missing for special kebab on this order, they argued that they 100% put naan bread in. NO, 100% you didn’t otherwise I wouldn’t have called. Won’t order again now, trying to make out we were in the wrong and that we’d missed the naan bread, it’s either there or not and it was NOT!! customer service 0%. Update: After eating kebab (without naan bread), it wasn’t great either, not all sauces I asked for were on and meat wasn’t as good as last time! Not sure what’s happened since I last ordered but DEFINITELY won’t ordering again! A little tip, great customer service in a business goes along way, if you haven’t got that, you’ve got nothing

Ordered food on Uber Eats. After 2 hours still no sign of food. Attempted to call but the phone line doesn’t work. Uber also tried to contact and couldn’t get through so cancelled and refunded the order for us. Waste of time, don’t bother with this place!

The smell of mildew mould and general disgustingness overwhelmed us when we arrived. We quickly left with our brew but whilst we waited sat next to a couple of sofas that wouldn't have looked out of place in a refuse centre

Coffee is great Staff are always great But today the toilets are disgustingly dirty. Not always like this but please get it right for all your customers. Disgraceful.

Nachos cold but otherwise fantastic food

The Sunday carvery is great deal for the price if you go other pubs you are paying a lot of money for less. Cheap for a family to go. And have money left be going every Sunday from now on

Came late and cold and missing items

The order was very good- have been critical in the past of here but this time I could not fault it- warm, fully of filling and no mistakes!

Waste of time,, sort your website out. Went for a meal asked for a menu and was told "we don't do food anymore" So why advertise it !!!!

I ordered fino pitta which is 2 boneless thighs, halloumi, aioli, lettuce and red onion pickle. In a round pitta. Sides of sweet corn cob and spicy rice. Firstly I’d have preferred to see an older manager in charge to watch what’s going out to customers. the staff were very young. The pitta hadn’t been warmed so I didn’t eat it and used it to hide what I left. Halloumi was 2 small squares of grilled cheese, I thought they were chicken at first. Tiny amount of dressings, the onion pickle was overly sweet but the aioli was very nice. Smallest thighs I’ve ever encountered. Plus I think they may only butcher the top half of the thigh. The rice was quick cook American and lacked flavour. Sweetcorn cob was small and looked as if both ends were rotting. Eventually left all the pitta, almost all the onion, one of the thighs and 1/2 the rice. I wish I’d gone to Burger King as originally planned.

Golden Pheonix is easily the best Chinese in Crewe, it has been closed for a while so when we saw that it had reopened, we booked in and it did not disappoint. Great staff, spoke to the owner who was very friendly, and the food was fresh and tasted great. Can't wait for them to start doing delivery again. Amazing S&P wings.

Went for a sub was not impressed by one of the staff members, before the bloke went to serve me he blew into his glove before putting it on, very unhygenic & then was rude to me at the till. Not happy at all, will be going elsewhere

Drive thru order. Paid and told to wait. 16 mins later order delivered. Chicken ok. Burger cold and fries soggy and Luke warm No napkins or wipes to clean hands. This is an absolute waste of money. Colonel Sanders will be spinning in his grave at such low standards
