Couldn’t fault the place, the staff were pleasant and attentive and the food was lovely! I wasn’t sure what to expect as from the outside it didn’t look anything special, but I suppose that’s a reminder not to judge a book by its cover! I’m not local to the area but I’d definitely say it’s worth a drive out to return again.

I like Bod, nice decor, decent pint and a chilled atmosphere, just a shame about the constantly lethargic service. Having visited a number of times now it never seems to improve and is the reason we don't visit more. I have literally stood at the bar whilst the young staff stand chatting for several minutes until i actually asked if they were going to serve me. Very frustrating and unnecessary. Sort this aspect out and it would be a great place to go.

Last night I had an amazing meal at this Indian restaurant, and I can't stop raving about it! The vibe was super cozy, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They had a ton of tasty dishes on the menu, but the prawn jalfrezi stole the show for me—so flavourful, especially with some warm naan. Overall, it was such a fun dining experience, and I can't wait to go back for more!

Pretty poor! Ordered two 12" pizzas tonight. Neither of them had the correct toppings, in fact both pizzas were almost flat with practically no toppings on them. On the chance that they had the right toppings, they were both thin crust, when one was ordered deep-pan. However the delivery driver did find the right address so some credit to him. Not good and definately will not be re-ordering from Foodbay.

Horrendous food I’m really sorry to say. Ordered three dishes, chicken satay main, chicken ginger and onion and chilli beef. Plus we had chicken chow mein. All three chicken dishes were indistinguishable (making it difficult to determine what was what given they weren’t labeled) and the chicken was melt in your mouth, unsure if it was cooked, rubbery, bland and very slippery. Everything was swimming in sauce, vegetables and noodles in chow mein were soft to the point they could have easily been mashed and generally the food was everything we didn’t expect. Tasteless soggy and made us four feel quite ill afterwards. Sadly most of it went in the bin. A real shame as I normally go for curry and thought Chinese would be a nice change.

Takes ages to get served despite there being enough staff behind the counter. Apparently it takes 3 people to serve one customer now. One to serve the hot food, another to slice and butter the bread buns and another to fetch the cakes. That's what happened on a previous visit. Even when it's busy they won't move off the cake counter to come over and serve you. I get the whole cross contamination thing but what's wrong with washing yours hands before going over to serve someone or is that too much trouble? A lot of the time there seems to be people standing around doing very little when they could be serving. They no longer sell fresh sandwiches but pre made ones that have been sat there all morning. For what they charge I expect them to be freshly made not hand me one that's been sat there for good knows how long. You'd think that they'd be prepared for the lunchtime rush but instead, they've never got half the food ready. Go before 11am and nothing is ready. Go at lunchtime and they've always ran out because they haven't baked enough. Go after 3pm and you may as well forget it cos they've got nothing left and are clearing everything away. There's never a good time to go. Told me today it would be another 15 minutes wait before the pies were ready to come out of the oven. That's on top of the time it took me to get served. Why at half past 12 lunchtime have they never got anything ready? While I was there 2 customers walked out as they hadn't got what they asked for and weren't prepared to wait. Like people have got nothing else better to do but stand around for 15/20 minutes waiting for a pie and a sausage roll all because you can't be better organised. You'd think seeing as this is their busiest time of day they'd make sure to have stuff ready and put more in the oven so they don't run out all the time. Went in today and there were no saugage rolls, no pork and apple, no meat and potato and they no longer do Cornish pasties. There were two steak pasties left which looked fairly anemic. The counter was almost empty of hot food and as usual there was a member of staff wandering around doing nothing. She looked over at me twice as I waited to be served then walked off. Great service (not!) I ordered a steak pastie as I hadn't got time to stand around waiting for a meat and potato and when I got outside and bit in to it, it was stone cold. By the time I went back, there was only one left which had to be reheated as that was also stone cold. I was tempted to say forget it and ask for my money back but that would have inconvenienced me even more. Every time I come here I just get messed about. If I wanted a cold pastie I would have gone to Asda and paid half the price. Place has always been a joke but these days it's worse than ever. Years ago it used to be staffed by old aged pensioners that dilly-dallied around and didn't know what they were doing and took forever to serve you. These days it's staffed by kids who couldn't care less and you still wait ages to get served and charge you an arm and a leg. The only reason this place is still open is because they've got no competition. If we had a decent bakery/deli in Alsager this place would be shut in no time. Place is overpriced and if you sit inside to eat they charge you even more. It's actually cheaper (and possibly quicker) to get a carvery at the pub down the road than buy a sandwich from here. Won't be bothering anymore. Every time I've been here in the last few months it's just dreadful. It takes so long to get served that by the time it's your turn, the people in front of you have taken the last pie or sausage roll and they expect you to wait ages for more to come out of the oven. Why can't they make sure they have enough ready when they know that it's going to be busy? Every time I come here I end up getting wound up and frustrated. Won't be bothering again. Cheaper and much more pleasant to get a sit down meal down The Plough.

I arrived as a single person. Ordered the drink and asked for a menu. I took a seat at my table, other groups of people arrived tok a seat , and got served before me and had order taken, I then had to prompt waitress, as to when they'd take my order. Other people got asked if meal was ok, but I wasn't Just because I'm single person, doesn't mean I get forgotten. Felt a little discriminated for being a single customer
