Greeted with friendly and approachable staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Karen who seems to be there all the time always very welcoming even when she is extremely busy. Goes out of her way so customers enjoy their experience.

Very friendly staff and extremely helpful, I am coeliac and they went out of their way to make sure I had a safe gluten free meal ,prices are reasonable .We will go again

Having read the good TA reviews I was looking forward to this carvery. But when we were queuing and waiting for the chef, I could see we were at the tail end of service as there was very little veg left in each of the pots. And what was left was curled-up and dry. It was only 7pm in the evening, so there should have still been a good selection of fresh food. The chef appeared eventually, I asked for turkey and he said he’d "get off what he could from the joint but that was the last of it". To be fair the meat was okay, but the veg was awful, worst I’ve ever had at a carvery. I managed to scrape a dribble of gravy over my meal and then endured it. This was an extremely poor value meal which I didn’t enjoy.

This płace is fantastic! The food is Amazing value for money, kids eat free in the holidays, there’s an outdoor play area and the wacky warehouse is brilliant value for money as well! On arrival, I was met with friendly staff, but the outstanding staff for me were - Macauley and Franki. So helpful, so friendly, and made our whole experience so much better with their professionalism and excellent service! It was very much appreciated We will definitely be back again!

The carvery and starters were lovely, but the kitchen sent out mains before we were even halfway through the starters. One of the meals had to be kept warm, which spoiled my daughters meal

Veg dry as if been standing all day. Yorkshire pudding was flat and dry and I couldn’t cut it. The cheese pie had tough pastry I could not cut. Lumpy Gravy. I went home and had a sandwich afterwards.

First of all the staff are amazing here and management team under Oliver certainly care about the customer and eating experience. The value of the carvery is exceptional as is the food choice - taste - quality Well done to everyone and also for your support to Blue Light members

Came in yesterday with the family and was amazed by how hard working all the staff was, unfortunately it was just carvery but that did not disappoint!!! The chef explained he was the only one in and was running round like a mad man but still had time to crack jokes and was so pleasant to everyone, he even took the time to help me carry the plates to the table cause he could see I was struggling! 100% will be returning and the staff are just amazing here! :)

This is our number 1 place for a carvery. A great atmosphere with background music not too loud! Perfect for a great meal and still be able to have a conversation while you eat!

Husband & I had lunch at the Plough Inn with friends and we were all very pleased with the buffet. The meat was tender and there was a great selection of vegetables etc. Karen made the experience delightful with her friendliness and great humour. She deserves a raise!

We run a breakfast club for the Armed Forces community from The Plough. Every month our members comment on how delicious the breakfasts are and how the staff go above and beyond to make sure that they are well fed and happy. In particular, Emily and Charlie, should be mentioned as they ensure the smooth running of the event from ensuring our banner is displayed in a timely manner, making sure that the hot water urn is topped up, there are enough cups etc. little things that make a huge difference to us. Thanks to their hard work our club has expanded from 35 members to over 80! Thanks to all the staff for your support. The Plough also offers a 20% discount on food via the Blue Light Card app.

Visited for Sunday dinner - booked online. On arrival we told that sorry carvery had been busy and afraid there was no beef on. They had meant to call ahead and warn us but had just been so busy. Very apologetic and although a shame not a deal Breaker. The staff are just so friendly from the bar to the carvery staff to people that clear up. Everyone is informed and empowered. Even management taking time to clean up.. Greene King really should back this pub wholeheartedly and the staff that work there with a refurb and decor that befits their hard work. For now honest food, for a good price served efficiently will do just fine .. And dogs are allowed in the top bar area which was a nice surprise..

Was pleasantly impressed about a special birthday meal the Plough Inn put on for my daughter’s 16th birthday. Our 1st visit but certainly won’t be our last. Nicole and team went above and beyond with their service for 13 guests. We had a birthday cake at the end & nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Well impressed.

The Plough Inn would benefit from a refurb as it's quite scruffy inside and out. The pub was quiet and lacking in atmosphere which could have been made better if the music was turned up a bit. The menu choices and quality is very basic compared to other Greene King brands but this is reflected in the price. It would be nice if there were a few more vegan main courses to choose from. Overall I felt it was fine for a quick and cheap meal.

I found this pub about 8 weeks ago and have been going every Sunday for carvery around 5pm ,disaster has struck the past 2 times, last week my partner had beef said it was tough and chewy,I always have turkey. 6.30 last week no meats left ,today 24th 5.30 no turkey so had beef ,horrible could not eat my meal was tough and chewy really put me off .I have turkey because its my favourite and was really disappointed at 5.30 none left .The staff are excellent can't fault them but they definitely need extra because it's supposed to be served until 8pm.Not sure if I will go back now .
