Always a great atmosphere with some good singers on the times I have been , Guinness not the best which is a shame.

Lovely coffee shop. Toasted cheese scone with caramelised onion chutney and vintage cheddar was delicious 😋

So nice to go somewhere for breakfast that offers that little bit extra, food was excellent and presented very well, staff attentive and friendly.

I’ve been ordering from here for the last few months as it’s the best takeaway in Seaham, food is cooked to perfection & staff are very friendly, they have given me free food to try while in the shop & it’s all been very tasty…

Fish and chips were just Ok! Thought the fat could have done with changing.The Staff looked sick of their lives. Wont be going back in a hurry.

Vile customer service. We were screamed at the bald chef, and had a very bad from attitude from the blonde girl on the till. Will not be returning, kids are very upset. Do not recommend.

A very very relaxed laid back place. Staff are...well they are absolutely lovely, they treat people like an old friend rather than just a customer.

Had an absolutely disgusting experience this morning when I visited with my Daughter and Friend. My Friend can't sit on bar stools or low settees as she has mobility issues. There were only two tables of two left (as regulars were keeping tables for each other). We tried to pull up another chair to one of the tables when we were rudely pounced on by the Owner. She started screeching at us (in front of all of the other customers) that we couldn't put the additional chair at the table as we would be blocking the pathway to her boutique and customer toilets (I use the word boutique loosely as it was just a small room filled with overpriced tat). When she finally took notice about my Friends mobility issues she took the chair away from my Daughter and gave her a stool to sit on instead. We were going for breakfast but were that shocked and disgusted at her attitude we only stayed long enough to have a drink each. We wish we had never bothered. We had two cappuccinos and a hot chocolate which were over £10. The cups were tiny and not worth the money. Needless to say after the service we got we will never go back again. It it overpriced, tiny portions and Owners attitude is disgusting!!!!

Hi I'm a regular at the Black Truffle in Seaham... I pop in with friends for coffee and sometimes a nice cake or 2 .... the staff are great... very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The food is 2nd to none and fairly priced and would recommend a visit. You can also get your drinks to go...

Travelled to visit, the Cafe advertises its open until 3pm, the cafe put online they were there until 2:30 and when we got there just after 1:30pm it was padlocked and closed? Disappointing visit

Aargh! We must've stood for about half an hour to get served (and the queue was barely to the door, and the place half-busy). Sullen staff, who just stand there waiting for you to speak first. Couldn't even be bothered to put the coffee onto the saucer. £4.50 for a slice of lemon cake!!! £2.50 for a tiny little cookie!!? It's a shopping outlet on the A19, not Zurich Airport. The coffee was alright, I think, I was just in a right mood after the service. I like giving the more independent places a go, but I really wished I'd gone to one of the nearby coffee chains for a drink.
