I last reviewed this place in 2019 where my main issue was poor service and would you believe it things haven't changed. Service today was non existent. We were seated for over 10 minutes .... Not even a greeting. Front of house totally disorganised. It's a wonder the floor covering wasn't worn out because of the too-ing and fro-ing which never seemed to produce anything. This service is the worst I've experienced anywhere.. Cone on.... Get a grip !

What an amazing place. Fabulous gluten free options including home made scones, cakes and soup. The staff were lovely and I can’t wait to visit again. Also the boutique was a nice find inside the cafe, with a gorgeous selection of women’s items - I just couldn’t resist a purchase.

Stopped off after a morning walk for a coffee. Nice Americano. No vegan options for eats and the breakfast baps had no vegetarian option hence my 3 star review. Cute little clothes and accessories shop in the rear, reasonable prices.

We stopped in Seaham last year and found this lovely boutique. Great, partner sat having a coffee whilst I shopped! Made a detour to stop again a few months ago and bought some lovely trousers. They were so comfy I rang and ordered 2 more colours when I got home. Great customer service and a good selection of clothes. Hope to visit again soon.

Start with the positive that my partners iced coffee was fine. Other than that was not greatly impressed. Americano didn’t taste of good coffee. Paninis were really average with poor filling and not well made. Served with a few crisps and a sad excuse for a salad. Just a little more care in the kitchen could have upgraded the servings substantially but it smacked of tired and lazy. There are much better options in Seaham for coffee and snacks. Will not be returning

We stopped here today and asked of our child could use the toilet as he was desperate. The lady at the shop was really rude and more or less chased us away. I never experienced such unkindness in this country. What is wrong in allowing a child of 6 to quickly use the facilities? Will definitely NOT come back here another time and strongly discourage families with children to take them inside this unfriendly place! learn your manners!

Visited here today for the first time and can definitely say it’s well worth the visit. A brilliantly made flatwhite and they even had oat milk Flatwhite was made to perfect even with some great lattee art to finish it off. Showing skill and perfection with the perfectly velvety appearance. Which passed the floating spoon test. This cafe is a beautiful little place, the customer service from every single member of staff we came into contact with with was brilliant. Added to a great homemade cornbeef pie. If your in Seaham make sure you visit here.

The Good = Seating, Music & Décor. The home made cakes also looked very nice. The Bad = We ordered a Coffee & a Mocha and although both were wonderfully hot when they arrived, they were both very weak/tasteless. Perhaps we should have complained at the time, but as we were both in desperate need of a hot drink we didn't. Needless to say, we didn't order another, and instead went to a diff café. The Ugly = The toilet is in what appears to have previously been a small shower room and is a single Female/Male set-up. It was not wonderfully lit but even in the dull lighting it was obvious it needed a very good clean. The toilet rim behind the toilet seat was covered in hair/dust/bits and the sink was only a little better. There was No staff cleaning rota/schedule in sight. If it's also used by staff then I'm even more shocked that its not monitored and kept clean for customers & staff hygiene.

My wife and I were on holiday from Suffolk and visited Seaham for the first time, came acoss this coffee shop and was impressed how clean and bright it was. My wife had a latte and teacake, I just had a hot chocolate. where ever I go to have a coffee, latte, or hot chocolate, I always like mine piping hot so I can sip and enjoy it over a length of time, this one was spot on. This one was one of the best I have had (failed to mention the excellent table service they provide) We were so impressed we went back for lunch about 2pm, we both had BBQ Chicken Pannis absolutley cooked to pefection and strawberry and almond cake (other pannis flavours & cakes available), and I had another hot chocolate. Staff and service was excellent, made us feel welcomed and valuable. Place was very clean & quick service. Definitley recommend.

We left after nearly twenty minutes of being ignored. Waitress looked at us and walked past us numerous times but no interest in taking an order. Other people came in and were served straight away. We took our custom elsewhere

Popped in today and loved it! The decor is fab, the music choice was great (ABBA Gold playing!!), lovely to see the staff cheery and singing along at times and all members were polite and professional. I ordered the Biscoff Cheesecake, when the waitress asked my partner again he said the Biscoff Slice so that disappointment was my partner's fault. Any way, that was short lived because the Biscoff Slice was AMAZING!!! The lattes were very good too! Three of us ate and drank and the price was very reasonable. We are hoping to return to Seaham again so we will definitely be returning.

Enjoying coffee and eats isn't all this cafe has to offer as there is a little shopping area which has tempted me a number of times, 4 handbags later plus jewellery and candle stand. Relaxing atmosphere and decent menu, it's all you need

After visiting the black truffle on a Saturday afternoon with my friends I was lucky to find a seat, both the coffee shop and boutique have a lovely atmosphere. Everything in the boutique is reasonably priced with unique items that you wouldn't be able to find on the high street. There is a great selection on offer in the coffee shop with everything being freshly baked daily. I have spread the word to my friends and family who are all now regular visitorsThis place is a must to visit5 *

A hidden gem of a pub. We were recommended by a friend to seek out this place just off the main road between the Eden Arms Roundabout and Newton Aycliffe. Good friendly staff. Food was lovely .Little Jill had the Pie of the day, Chicken and Ham, I had the Gammon. Both were really lovely. The only gripe i had was the overflowing wall mounted cigarette bin at the main door it was unsightly and off putting to us non smokers. Maybe move it or empty it more often. Only a little gripe and will not put us off returning.

Parking is plenty and is a one way system, so don't try to get to the front out of laziness or you could get stuck during busier times and end up having to go back out and round into the main dual carriage way and roundabout if there is too much traffic. The parking is free and it is a gravel car park . As you enter there is a sign to wait to be seated, but don't wait if there are plenty of seats, as you'll be there forever. I think the sign should be put away during quiet times and brought out in busier times. Once seated it's easy to order, choose what you want from the menu and go to the counter (remember what your table number is). Massive cake/sweet selection at the till area so I suggest having a look there as well for sure! At first glance £4(something) for a Melba is a bit much but then when you see the size of it, it's fair. Delicious too! They have take away boxes as well, yum! The last time I went I tried the hot beef bap and it was really good, no chewy, gristle or fatty bits in the meat at all. Spot on. Time before was the cheese pie which I absolutely loved (my lactose intolerant body however rejected it, but was still worth it and I'll do it again NGL). The majority of the staff are lovely, I've never felt anyone has been rude (even when they seemed to be having a crappy and busy day). Have been a few times now and definitely will go again. Edit: it's also (well behaved) dog friendly.

I Love Bolam & the Countryman, which didn't Disappoint ; for ME. However: 'She who must be Obeyed' Stated; the Plain/Painted? Wood Tables were 'STICKY'. Our Sunday Lunch was TASTY & Enjoyed by ALL Four. However: 'One' was Not Pleased & won't visit Anymore. Folk have to Accept the Rustic Appearance which is Uniquely, Nice. Staff were Fun & Efficient, Allowing us to change Our Table: Twice! My Advice is to See for Yourself : Because some 50 Diners can't be Wrong. Perhaps Table Cloths will settle the Quandry : 'A Ha'prth of Tar' won't Cost A Song!!😁
