Flamingo Bar and Cafe in County Durham

This cafe is perfect for Instagram pics and trendy food. Perfect location overlooking the pebble beach. Staff were friendly and decor was very cute. That being said, please don't let my next few comments stop you from visiting this is just my experience. I came with my family and it was a bit disappointing. The loaded potatoes with halloumi had too much creme fresh to the point where it just wasn't enjoyable. The smoothie was practically like water with very little flavour and for the price of £5 and something pence it just wasn't worth it. They serve many varieties of matcha which I wanted to try, it wasn't really for me but I understand it is an acquired taste. That's totally on me the staff can't help that it wasn't my cup of tea 🤣 The flatbread was thoroughly enjoyable though and the latte was so frothy. Gotta love a frothy latte don't ya? It was really nice. A good day out however I would say in the nicest possible way- this is very much a yummy mummy cafe made for the camera and not the bank account if you know what I mean.

The staff are brilliant, so helpful and friendly. A lovely spot by the Marina. The cafe has a lovely vibe and the food was excellent. Highly reccomend.

A friend and I were eager to try this place as it looked lovely and has a great view of the beach. We ordered drinks and even though I ordered plant based milk for some reason they gave me a drink with dairy cream. I asked before I tried and they took the drink away. I was given a replacement five minutes later which didn’t look great (they placed a lid on it) and sadly the ‘hot’ drink was lukewarm. I asked if I could use the toilet and was given vague directions about another building. I wandered in search and returned asking again where the toilets were. I was told to follow the building around and to use one in the marina but when I got there there was no access. I had to leave the place and wander to a pub five minutes away and use the loo there. Sadly I won’t be returning to this cafe.

Lovely food (as usual) and on this trip, the best eggs Benedict I've had in more than 15 years. 😁 Thanks to Poppy, Sarah and Sam for looking after us and making a quick snack a relaxed and happy experience.

Fab little cafe that’s dog friendly and has a lovely variety of food. Staff are friendly and they even have food for your dog too. Coffee with oat milk was delicious as was my chicken with satay on sour dough bread. My hubby had eggs Benedict cooked perfectly too. If we are in the area again we would definitely visit this cafe.

Sorry to say it was £37 pound down the drain the 3 coffees were luke warm and our poached eggs were snotty with wet bread what a shame people can't afford to pay for poor quality food these days

Visited many times now and has become one of our favourites for a Sunday morning brunch. Service is very personable and friendly, food is always lovely and the coffee is lush too. Great setting down next to the beach! Parking can be busy but only a 2 minute walk from the Main Street in Seaham. One small thing, please put more satay sauce on the satay chicken… maybe I’m being greedy but it’s seriously good 👌

Looked for dog friendly cafes and this was looking good so decided to pay it a visit with our border terrier. On arrival, all tables were taken but the waitress offered me a table outside on the understanding I could move inside when one became available (I hate cold food). Managed to get a table inside soon after then ordered eggs benedict, doggy breakfast (sausage & scrambled egg) as well as a flat white. Food was well presented and very tasty & our dog loved his (chasing the paper plate around most of the cafe!) Staff were lovely and made a fuss of our dog. Well worth a visit.

This place was a really great find. The menu is really lovely and the service is so friendly and quick. It's not easy to find somewhere that does fresh clean food outside of big cities, which is what makes this place such a gem. Will definitely be back and bringing others too. What a view as well.

We were recommended to visit as we are not from the area, just wanted a coffee and cake which was great as as soon as we walked in we were told foods finished. Server wasn't the chirpiest but hey ho. We opted for bakewell flapjacks which looked amazing......they were!! Cute little venue, was shocked to be told that there are no customer toilets in or indeed anywhere near the cafe but a 5 minute walk through the car park and to the marina. Can only imagine how annoying this must be for families with small children. I thought any establishment that serves food and drink for 10 customers or more had to provide a loo. Flapjacks....moreish. Everything else, facilities, customer service.....just okay.

Gorgeous little place with dreamy views. Ordered the Fresca l think it was called. Absolutely delicious! Fantastic flavours! Pretty blonde girl served us. She was extremely friendly, polite and very chatty, which we loved! Had my husband and l in a kink laughing! Knowledgable about the menu too. We overheard she was called Sarah so would just like to thank her again for a 5 star meal and service! Can’t wait to come back and try some more of this wonderful menu.

Visited today with my sister and we were served by Beth. She was very helpful with her sunny personality and went above and beyond for us and gave great advice on what food to try for brunch. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Fresca on her recommendation which was cooked fantastically by Liv the chef. The Eggs Benedict in particular was delicious with its Siracha hollandaise which added a lovely spice to the sauce. Both myself and my sister also had the bee pollen latte which was lovely, and we both left with a sweet treat to take home. Would highly recommend Flamingo for the wonderful staff, warm and welcoming atmosphere and tasty food on offer by the sea in Seaham!

Fab food; lovely service; great range to choose from and what a kooky little place! Seaside view too: everyone should visit: we will return.

We visit Flamingo cafe in it’s beautiful setting weekly for Sunday lunch and it never fails to impress. Today Liv made garlicky avo on toast it was not only delicious but good wholesome clean food. The foods so delicious we always take a desert home for later which was white chocolate and raspberry bar and peanut butter bar. All of the servers including Beth are extremely pleasant and very friendly. Definitely worth a try energiser smoothie, eggs Benedict’s and Korean pulled pork on flat bread.

Firstly our dish was full of fresh ingredients it was presented well, the taste was a fantastic combination of flavour a well balanced salad. Bursting with freshness.

This place is a hidden gem….. love everything about it… the food is amazing,the atmosphere is fantastic with sea views and the staff are so helpful and friendly I just can’t fault it…

We have been to flamingo cafe a number of times and never been disappointed! The food and service is always amazing and we are always excited to come back.

First visit but definitely not our last. Dog friendly inside and out, extensive breakfast and brunch options, lots of vegetarian GF and vegan choice. Our americanos were in gorgeous big mugs and the salted caramel cruffin divine. We were served by Beth who was helpful and friendly.
