The best restaurants serving Default food in Dawdon County Durham North East

Ordered a couple of times from here, really nice, very enjoyable.

A gorgeous find on Seaham front. The ice cream is made on site and absolutely delicous! We had an apple crumble sundae which has cinnamon ice cream, apple compote and crushed biscuits. 10/10 We also tried rice pudding flavour which we will be having next time we go. Staff were lovely and spotlessly clean with cracking music. Dog friendly and they both got their own mini dog cone 🤩 Wish we lived closer. Thanks team! Ps It’s hidden behind some scaffolding at the moment so keep your eyes open for the signage, it’s well worth the hunt.

We dropped in here for coffee on a wild January day and sat on the outside deck to watch the waves breaking over the walls. The coffee was very good and the cherry Bakewell remarkable. Lovely staff, clean toilets, nice place all round. If you park in the harbour car park be aware that the wardens are on the ball!

Peri peri chicken was lovely and spicy. Good to have an peri peri option in the area. Communication could be better. Price and portion good.

Good to return for a pint and some Quick pub doings..I had a panini with a side of chips. Plenty of roughnecks around but we sat in a more private alcove. Very enjoyable Maximus for £1.99

Great service always a smashing coffee

I like Witherspoon but this place is packed out every morning till noon with people (. many pensioners ) drinking free refills coffee till it comes out of their ears!.. Trying to get a table is murder so stopped going ,adding the entrance is full of smokers

Got a tandoori chicken and mixed kebab as always, this time was that salty we couldn't eat it. Rang to let the resteraunt know and was told it was because I had not ate it straight away. Won't be going back

2 hour wait finally come chips chicken noodle combo plain, come full of onions n chips like they been cooked 2 wks ago not be going bk

Sunday lunch ok £15 expensive,there was one carrot on our plate we asked for a few more they gave us 3 and charged us £3 50 how mean maybe it was to pay for there plastic flower deco hanging from ceiling, lunch at valentinos seaham is better value £10 50 and more enjoyable.we will be going to valentinos from now on.

Absolutely disgusted in the customer service ordered 3 pizza from store. Ordered ham and pineapple for my 2 children, my son said the pineapple didn't taste right. When I tasted the pineapple it was sour and fermented and had gone off. I phoned the store up to explain and the only thing he could do was to send me another pizza out but it would have the same pineapple on he said as it all comes from the same tin. I explained what good would that be to us, fermented pineapple can cause sickness and diorrhea due to the bacteria why on earth would we want another one and risk given it again to my children not helpful at all very disappointed and will not be ordering again, shocking to be serving this to customers.

I think this is a great place to eat they're friendly and so helpful and their food is so nice and the prices are really great if I'm going yo get a take out this is my go to they never ket me down 10 out of 10 I will go here above ANYWHERE else

Scruffy !! Very disappointing experience and will definitely not be returning 🤢 Called in after visiting Hello Sunshine on the harbour front. We had a nice walk around Seaham and fancied something different than the usual chain coffee shops. Looked quirky on getting inside. Went to the counter to order and was given a teacup & teapot, a coffee , spoons, milk, sugar to carry back to the table (no tray to carry everything) more than 1 trip was needed, very aware of my footing over the uneven manhole cover with a missing tile and left a hole. (Very aware as I’m just recovering from broken ankle) Baked potato with cold Mexican chicken. Potato not baked just microwaved as no tasty crispy skin at all. Steak and ale pasty was expensive for a little bit of chewy meat. No salt and pepper anywhere so I went back to the serving area and no one came to see what i wanted. Upon sitting for a while I started to notice that it wasn’t rustic and it was in fact really SCRUFFY. We were seated next to the back door and WOW it was horrific for a food establishment, muck would need to be scrubbed and scraped off, the cobwebs were all over, ceiling and walls. The doors where the shelving is were disgustingly dirty. £20 down the drain. HOW CAN A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT BE ALLOWED TO STAY OPEN AND TRADE IN THAT STATE!! 🤮. SHOCKING

For a change we thought we would order from a different restaurant, on this occasion not a wise desicion, The Kebab meat was bland,greasy and in my opinion under cooked, shaved off too early, quantity over quality. The 'Meat feast' Pizza i also had issue with, when i order a 'Meat feast' pizza i want to be able to recognise whats on it.. pieces of Chicken, Slices of Pepperoni, Salami ect ect. The meats were ground up that small nothing was recognisable, it looked like some dried mince was spinkled over the top. The Garlic sauce was sharp and tasted of vinegar, I was given a 20 min delivery slot time , the order arrived 40 mins after. i cant say with any certainty which element of what i ate did not agree with me the most, but what i can say is that i was up in middle of night bringing it back up. we shall not be reordering from this restaurant.
