Harbour Tandoori in County Durham

Bang on time and what a quality meal deal, chicken tandoori stater, onion rice, chicken vindaloo and keema naan, absolutely beautiful, so tasty and fresh, clearlt a very good takeaway, will be using these again for sure, thank you for good meal

So disappointed in the food.. cold when arrived after a very long wait. Ate because we were soo hungry. Not the first time this has happened either. Thought might have been a one off but clearly not 👎

Food was 55 minutes late. It was still hot and the food was tasty but due to how late it was we'd finished watching our film & were almost ready to go to bed, hopefully this was just a one off.

rang this order in at 7.30 and received it at 9.05 munch box it should be called a box of chips which were rotten and cold.

This is our usual Indian takeaway anyway , but took advantage of the discount codes, absolutely beautiful, food was piping hot and loads of flavour as we thought we’d try something different 😀

another beautiful meal. came sooner than expected which was great and lovely and hot.

food ordered at 18.00 and estimated delivery was 19.25, it then changed to 19.50-20.20. also order chicken tikka massala but got lamb massala instead, didn't report as had waited so long didn't want to wait longer for it to be changed.

Great food again and on time,massive order but 1 nut pilau missing but after phone call it arrived within 25 minutes and free Poppadom included.

food was castles and so oily I drained 3 tablespoons off each curry. I would never order again !

We have been longstanding customers of Harbour, however tonight I am disgusted. We ordered poppadoms to receive none, the mint sauce when we have tipped it onto our plates is literally watery as though it's split, no naan bread for two orders, the butter curry is watery and tastes nothing like normal. Really disappointed. To not deliver 5 parts of the order is ridiculous.

Piping hot and very tasty as usual, we had the box meal with an extra curry sauce and there was loads 👍

Delivery was 2 hours after placing order. Plus when order did arrive their were items missing

50% off all food over £25 in October means we have had a few more Indians ...ordered the Bengali Box Tandoori Chicken, Tikka Chicken, Sheek Kebab, Onion Bhaji, Meat Samosa, tikka Rice, spicey chips, Any curry Sauce, mint Sauce Pictures don't do this dish any justice...amazing food. Did go for collection as delivery is always over an hour and not ideal.

Took way too long for delivery. Left delivery instructions on the order, and still had to repeat via phone. Order came spilled in the bag so the cartons were all a mess. Not red hot when arrived either. Shame, not a great experience. Won't go back.

Missing 2 garlic naan’s and butter chicken was very bland

Always have a great meal from Harbour Tandoori. The Thursday and Sunday special is a great deal.

Worst Indian I’ve had. Zero taste. Staff were lovely on collection, but the food was so poor

Missing 2x Bombay Aloo from the special :( The mixed masala opened in the bag, but we managed to catch it before it spilt anymore. The flavours are unreal though so I would still order again but just slightly disappointed but overall enjoyed it.

Both Currys had a very thick layer of oil on the top of the curry sauce, the garlic rice had several CHUNKS of garlic in which was of putting.

Indian dishes are not well known in my country and there are hardly any restaurants. Of all the takeaway shops I have tried, Harbour Tandoori is and remains my favorite.

Too salty to eat the main course, ended up in bin! Waste of money!

I’ve heard good things from work colleagues but never ordered before, the flavours are outstanding. Cannot fault the quality of the food at all, flavour sensation. The food was slightly late but it was likely busy as it was Sunday & I live far away from pretty much anything & the food was still hot. Was just ravenous 😅 won’t be putting me off ordering again though ⭐️

The best take away in seaham. The food is always incredible quality, freshly cooked and hot. Food is ready in no time and I have been coming here for a year and have never ever had anything to complain about. Friendly and helpful staff who take pride in serving quality food.

I’m actually gutted to have to leave this as this was mine and my friend’s favourite takeaway and we usually spend £100+ a week when we get together. The poppadoms were burnt , folded and stuffed in to the smallest bag possible, replacements where sent and was exactly the same. The naans where as thin as the poppadoms and just as crispy, and the lamb was inedible as it was full of fat and was extremely tough, the only thing that was up to its usual standard was the masala sauce, so disappointed

Delivery was quick, prawn cocktail which is cold food was put in with hot food and when delivered was warm so was inedible. Also missing popadoms and sagaloo

Excellent food , portions are good, everything cooked to perfection, been trying to find a good Indian takeaway for a long time and after trying many different, my opinion is this is the best, I will look no longer, will order from here from now on

Keema rice is lush, mixed kebab was very small portioned this time. Chips weren't fresh and not very warm. Was missing an extra poppadom that I paid for.

First time we had curry from here it was lovely, however it has got much worse. After paying just under £30 for our meal, we were really disappointed with what we were delivered. Both curries were watery, there wasn't much meat and they didn't taste as they should. We left a comment for the naan to be only lightly cooked and we had to throw it away as it was so burnt. We won't be ordering from these again which is a shame as we both had a lovely curry the first time.

Oil dripping from food, that much was dripped out of bag all over floor, and kitchen benches all now stained due to amount of oil, garlic naan missing from order, keema naan was more keema sauce and to quarter of naan, chips unedible as barley cooked, garlic chicken starter was nice, vindaloo more like standard curry, rogan was nice.

Best curry I’ve ever had everything is full of taste and flavour and spice which I love!

Ordered for delivery on return from work, selected 1830, arrived just before 1800 so was still at work when delivered. Only just warm when home to start eating. Don't have a time for delivery if you not gonna stick to it, can appreciate a 5 min either side or so but 30 mins is not good.

For a start chicken pakora does not come in breadcrumbs. The lamb in the curry was like it is being put in by sling shot. Hardly any in and what was in was like shoe 👞 leather. First time ordering and last. Believe me, there is much much much better out there. Don’t waste your money.

Shocking food. Chicken tikka makhani was literally four lumps of chicken in some korma sauce. Wasn't even good Korma sauce. Sauce dip looked so suspicious and gone off we just threw it out. Staff were okay but the food did take a long time even though we were doing a pickup so delivery wasn't the time issue. Would NOT recommend.

Mint food and delivery fast. Ordered something super spicy which my stomach now regrets. Would recommend the 5 course deal, easy enough to feed 2/3 people

Best Indian takeaway around, by far. Food is gorgeous

Ordered one of the harbour sharing boxes, food was very dry and the tub of curry wasn’t filled the whole way. Onion baji’s were very dry and rock hard - couldn’t eat them. Chicken was very dry with little to no flavour. Most of the food arrived cold after we had to wait since our order was late. We always order from here and it’s normally nice.

Everything was nice, apart from potatoes in the starter was uncooked, Lamb in the starter was tough, and again potatoes in rice was rotten 😭

Had the 7 course buffet. Great value for money with great tasting food. We had the chicken tikka chat, popadum and pickle tray. Main course was chicken harbour tandoori special , tasted fantastic.

Ordered kebab meat the masala one with garlic masala chips and a omelette for my girlfriend, the kebab was absolutely terrible only ate one piece and the rest went in the bin thick as anything and really chewy didn't even taste like masala at all, chips were not bad but we're really soggy because of the bag they put them in it was like paper mashay breaking apart they need to be in a tinfoil bag other takeaways use to keep them crisp, the omelette my girlfriend said was not nice at all and the eggs tasted a bit off but mushrooms were OK and peas were OK but again chips came in a bag not the carton so were soggy and not crisp, overall needs to be better standards put in place the kebab definitely needs swapping it's like trying to take a bite out of s cow

The curry, rice, chips, etc were nice enough. Onion Bhaji’s were overdone, didn’t rate the mixed rap and only received 1 popadom.

Food was good restaurant was good but when ordering our keema naans it went through as extra keema ans only 1 naan. Problem with the app rather than the restaurant and the restaurant handled the call well
