Your munchie box is fabulous - all cooked fresh within 10 minutes of ordering. Tikka Masala was one of the best we have had.

Very disappointed after looking forward to our meal. Curry was ok but chips felt like leftovers from yesterday, the rice was bland and both naan’s were raw and doughy and the peshwari naan had no flavour. This used to be a fantastic restaurant but won’t be going back

While on holiday in Durham we used his takeaway and was not disappointed Food we had was superb had a chicken tikka masala and a chicken tikka Balti Thank you

Honey chicken was terrible and raw onion in rice. Waited 1.5 hours past delivery time and it was barely warm. Never again

Ordered to collect as deliveries have always been, historically, over an hour late! Was advised to collect at all 18.40, no sign of food at 19.10 and no updates by staff! Lots of people still waiting. We cut out losses and left. Appalling service - will not give benefit of the doubt again!!!

Ordered tonight at 20:12 tonight to be told delivery would be 50 minutes to a hour at 21:40 I phoned the shop to ask where my food was told it hadn’t left the shop yet. Looks like toast and bed for us shame as food is always very nice get more staff and delivery drivers or you will lose custom

Food is nice usually but don’t expect to get it at the time the website says or when you get told on the phone ordering. Tried always including 1.5 hour pre notice and still 30 mins after time I was told

Decided to give Belmont Tsndoori another go Main courses were fine. Need to learn how to cook chips and the garlic naan bread was very poor tasted stale and dry as if it was off the day before.

am still awaiting my delivery. Said 45 mins when order online. Over 2hrs 25 mins later and still preparing… phone engaged endlessly. The only reason I ordered rather than go to the shops was the timeframe… HUNGRY! I paid for service & delivery but got neither!

Used this place for many years but it went down hill, thought we'd give it another try recently and nothing has changed our feedback, it has definitely gone downhill.

One of the best Indian takeaways I've had. The food was delivered on time and hot. The food tasted amazing. Everything was cooked lovely and homemade chips was a nice touch. This was our first time using this takeaway as new to the area, we will definitely recommend and use again.

Hmm… why so many good reviews? My wife and I could barely stomach it. I’ve been to India, and I grew up in a predominantly Indian demographic city in Canada: this is not good Indian food. I’d highly recommend bringing in an Indian cook to re-jig the recipes. The naan tasted old and maybe store bought, dry… the Tikka Masala and Korma was truly unpleasant. No spice. Bland. My wife’s cooks better curry. If it weren’t for the kind staff, I’d want to give it no stars. I want my £20 back!

Iv readed the reviews and I take it iv hit unlucky I ordered with my friends and when it came it wasn't correct their was nan bread short, rice and a starter missing l would of rang but it was freezing cold and not enjoyable its safe to say I will not be ordering again. When you order the special you do expect it all to be there and warm at least very disappointing

Absolutely delicious food every time! We always order our Indian take aways from here and travel to collect as they don’t deliver to us. Highly recommend the banquet meal deal. Easily feed 3-4 people!

Every time I order from the restaurant the delivery is over half an hour late. I order with Just Eat and this seems to be the issue, I ring the restaurant and I'm told it's almost there, it isn't! I'll be going elsewhere in future, pity, the food is quite nice when it eventually gets there!!

Food late ,called to ask where it was was told five minutes,another half hour turned up after another call , OVER TWO HOURS FROM ORDER Luke warm starter. Main warm. Surprised just eat use this restaurant as food hygiene rating is very poor.AVOID

Fantastic food, but one of the two naans we ordered was forgotten.

Overall we do choose this takeaway as our main choice however do find the delivery or collection hit and miss. Will I order again?? Definitely. The food is very good when it is delivered on time. Staff are also very friendly so it’s an overall thumbs u , with a few occasional disappointments, but nothing to put me off.

Have ordered from here a few times recently and can't fault the food!! Unfortunately it arrived an hour earlier than it was supposed to so had to warm it up when my fiancé got home.

Oh my gosh, probably the best indian takeaway I've ever had. Everything was really hot on arrival, and tasted incredible. Lots of meat in the dishes and not just tonnes of sauce, which is unusual for an indian takeaway. I'd definitely order from here again!

Pre ordered on Just Eat...given an estimated delivery time of 18:25...phoned shop at 18:45 to be told they'd been extremely busy but it would leave shop in 5 minutes...phoned again at 19:10 to be told it had just left...finally arrived at 19:20...2 hrs 20 mins after originally pre ordèring

I travel from middlesbrough to durham just to visit Belmont Tandoori as it is the best i have ever tasted and i have tried them all ( makes Akbars of Bradford look like a ready meal ) the staff are happy and friendly , i challenge ANYONE to proove me wrong as this place is heaven on earth !!! Had a takeaway this evening from Belmont tandoori, it was amazing, had chicken pakora, tikka chicken, samosa & chicken on chat, also had a tandoori masala curry which was like a spicy tikka masala, amazing really enjoyed it, freshly cooked and tasty. Friendly service & didn’t wait too long for delivery, will definitely be ordering again

Rang an order in, was told 1 hour for delivery, got a call back 5 mins later to say 1 hour 25 minutes. I rang after 1 hour 45 and they said another 25 minutes, I rang again after another 30 minutes and they said the order was still in kitchen. This was after a family of 4 of us waited over 2 hours. Absolute disgrace, will never use them again, busy is fine, lying is not. 😡😡😡

For years we have had an Indian meal from our nearest takeaway, as our Christmas dinner, we have been vegetarian for years and, as a family, our favourite food is Indian. We are now vegan and Belmont Tandoori are really helpful and able to provide a range of vegan options. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are good! Highly recommended. .

I ordered a takeaway from here yesterday evening whilst staying in Durham and it was absolutely horrible. I couldn’t eat any of it apart from the starter and rice. The nan was dry and the lamb curry was like tasteless walllpaper glue with a few shreds of meat. The chef and owner should be ashamed of themselves!!!

The food here is great.we have been customers for many years But the food is never ready on time no matter how much warning you give them so you are hungry and left waiting for up to 30,mins . this gets really boring after a while

We’ve had a couple of meals from the Belmont - and thoroughly enjoyed them too. Good portions, great food (even more importantly) and it has always arrived when stated. We’ll be back.

Been getting food from here for about 4 years now and I’m never disappointed. It’s always really nice and fresh food. Have tried other takeaways and just nothing I have found is as good as Belmont! I always get the Chicken Tikka Kakri it’s my favourite! Broccoli bhaji is also amazing!

First time we’ve tried here and won’t be going back. Food turned up late and was wrong order. No apologies given just accusations although they did correct it after a debate. After ordering at 20.30 we finally sat down to eat at 22.15. To top it all off the cheeky blighters have given us old pound coins in our change!!!!

If you arrange to collect and pay cash I dont think they start cooking it until you get there, always a wait.

Collection stated 7pm but it was 7.25pm when it was ready. The delay was slightly inconvenient but the food was delicious so it was worth the wait!

We have recently started using Belmont tandoori after a break due to dropping standards. I despise onions so my husband always asks for my meals without onion. Unfortunately it came with onion. My husband called back and we were sent another order. The rice looked lovely and didn't have onion. Unfortunately the second curry also had onion in it. Bleurgh!! What a waste of our money, the delivery drivers time and petrol.

We order our food at 6.00 to be told it wouldn't arrive till 7.10 that was perfect as we were not in the house ! it arrived at 6.20 and the food was a very poor standard!! Won't be ordering again !!

Ordered a meal and payed £5+ for a chicken Tikka main which to me sounds like a main meal chicken tikka with the sauce... but no a small tub of chicken arrived! Phoned up and was told they would send me the chicken and sauce out again but had to pay £5+ again! I didn't want to pay that again so I asked for a tub of sauce to be sent out, man on the phone said it would be £2.50 so when the driver came he said it was £3.50!! The driver was nice and let me just pay £3! I feel like I've been ripped off with this meal. Food wasn't nice either, chicken was very salty! I'll never order from here again! All I wanted was tikka sauce, chicken and rice with a nan break and I've had to pay £17!!! Menu should be updated and made more clear.

Arrived 20 mins late ..rang them to query whereabouts just to be told there had been a bad crash on motorway...not sure how this affected my order as to get to my house from takeaway you dont use motorway ! When it did arrive there was no apology for delay just a grunt from delivery driver saying he didnt have correct change.Meal was'nt particularly hor either.
