Been using this takeaway since it opened many years ago, ordered our usual meals, 50quids worth, last night and its the worst we ever had from here or anywhere, chicken massala and chicken bhuna were disgusting sauces, with minimal meat, onion pilau terrible, such a good takeaway gone with new owners cant cook and skimping.................be warned

Used for years. Under new owners apparently. The food took a long time to arrive and was a little bland. The new owners have changed the recipes I suspect. The food wasn't bad but definitely not what we anticipated. Not what we'd come to expect but not awful. Unsure if we'd rush to order again but could just be teething problems..

So I did not get what I ordered incorrect order . Presentation not great chicken was dry didn't eat it all second time using them first time was good. But tonight was very poor. I will not go back for the third.

Ordered a meal last night due to the usual takeaway being closed. Only positive was it was delivered on time. Ordered Chicken Dansak, lentils tasted as though they weren't fully cooked, no spice at all, very bland. Garlic pilau, and garlic nan had no garlic. Will certainly not be ordering from these again.

The takeaway that we normally use in Horden has closed down and boy do we miss it. This is not the best Indian takeaway in the area. I won't be using it again.

Omg lush, i get this take away quite regularly and it is divine every time. I love Shotton tandoori it is literally my favourite take away definitely recommend

Ordered an Apna king prawn and a chicken tikka bhuna for a change. Both dishes recommended by the chef, Dishes didn’t disappoint and tasted delicious and distinctive. Pickle tray plentiful and 4 varieties. Arrived as promised. Highly recommended

Food was ready to collect on time. I ordered Vegetable Biriyani which was a bit greasy and the sauce very bland. I left half of mine which I'd not normally do.

Food is fantadtic but service was shocking. Food delivered to wrong address so had to wait about 2hrs for delivery. No compensation offered at all! Only reason I would consider ordering again is because food is very good. Definitely need to work on your customer service Shotton Tandoori.

Had a Indian takeaway it was pretty nice masala was a bit sweet but it was lovely

Ordered early for 7pm, arrived 7.45 pm, delivery driver sent a child (7/8ish) to the door obviously so I couldn't complain about it being late. I have used this Indian for years with no complaints, but New yrs Eve, it was VERY average ,Chicken Tikka Shaslik was ok usually lovely( its my fav dish) chicken Masala was EXTREMELY bland ( my wifes fav dish and is usually beautiful) and the mushroom Naan bread was tasteless, chips and rice was nice, will be going elsewhere from now on

I recently had the pleasure of trying the food from my local, family-run Indian takeaway restaurant and I have to say, it was outstanding! The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of flavors and spices that really made each dish stand out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was quick and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a fantastic Indian takeaway experience.

Highly recommended, always go back for more. More than 30 years of service. Best around by a mile. Chicken Tikka Mossalla is the one.

Best indian round here, can not fault any dish

Chips were undercooked, curry was bland. Tikka meal was dry, rice was hard. They used to serve noce food but now i will not be ordering again, i was very dissapointed and could not eat more than two bites. Would not recommend. Waste of money

Been going to shotton tandoori for years and it's always been great food.

Based on previous reviews we deviated from our usual takeaway, this was our first time of ordering from here and unfortunately we wont be back. After a wait of over an hour, food was lukewarm by the time it was delivered and one of the curries was totally tasteless - jalfrezi looked and tasted like Masala sauce had been used as the base for the curry with a few onions and peppers thrown in for good measure ☹

The food is always hot and fresh but can be busy

Ordered our meal for delivery, was told 1hr maximum for delivery which for New Year’s Eve was acceptable, we’ve been waiting 3hrs now, I’ve rang 3 times for an update and at the third attempt the person on the phone hung up on me, horrific customer service, I have been a customer for quite a few years now and I will not be retuning. Shame on you!

Definitely the best curry house in the area. Ill never go anywhere else, even my 2 Yr old is obsessed with their food , doesn't matter what I get, I always have to share. Massive bits of chicken, none of that lego sized nonsense, the naan is crisp on the bottom and soft on top and the chips are proper homemade ones done with one of them old crinkly chip cutters. Honestly, worth every penny and still had plenty left for the next day dinnertime Can't wait for the next one👍

Very nice curry. I would say the best I have had.

I asked for a prawn starter that wasn't in batter and grilled in onions and garlic, I got 4 battered prawns in a bag, and when I opened them out the batter their intestinal tract was still there, they needed de-lining. Onion bahjis were very dry, and the tikka starter was slightly dry with a non tikka taste. The dupiaza main tasted like rotten veg, and the onion pilau rice wasnt all that great either. Binned the lot!

The food is always ready on time when you collect, service is swift and the food piping hot. We dine at many Indian restaurants around the region and the food here is up with the best. You can taste the spices in the food reasonably priced but no compromise on quality, always fresh. Highly recommend 🤪

Just moved to Shotton and found this place. Best Indian takdway in the North East. Taste is excellent. Madras is spicy hot, masalla is very creamy. Lush!

Didn’t like the food I ordered. Order curry’s all over the country but didn’t like this one. Asked for a coke and a cheese and garlic naan but he didn’t listen to me and just gave me a plain naan with no coke. Prices were reasonable, delivered quickly. Other dishes might be nice but this one wasn’t

Local curry house, nothing spectacular but a consistently decent curry. Lamb Bhuna is recommended, my fiancé won't go anywhere else!

Me and my partner were ill after eating here. Food wasnt great (chicken bhuna, keema rice and naan) We collected so cant comment on delivery times.

just had a chicken vindaloo from here tonight , first class curry and the amount of chicken you get would do 2 portions in another takeaway . 9.5 out of 10

We love the food from this takeaway the quality is always consistent , so tasty and good value . Spot on every time we've had a meal from this place, the front of counter staff is friendly and helpful

I have been a regular customer for over 20 years and, although I've sampled other Indian Takeaway Meals around the Area, this is the best by far.

Had probably over 100 curries from here and they are consistently very tasty. The only Indians we use round here.
