I've been a customer here for over 7 years now and remain a regular customer. The thing I love about Gills is that it's always consistently good. There's nothing worse than enjoying a places food and then they change up the way they do it etc but I've never noticed that here. The food is always hot, flavourful, generous and cheap and always cooked to perfection. Absolutely the best choice for pizza and/or a chippy tea around here. Drivers are lovely and customer service is great too ❤️

Cancelled my order even though it says it was open and the owner complained at my door that I didn’t spend enough lastime even though I spent more then his minimum delivery and more terrible customer service it’s a shame was good until the last month or so lost all my business from now on

Food was very greasy, tasted burnt, only reason it gets 1 star is cos i can't choose 0. They extended the delivery time only to be 10 mins late on the half hour extension and the was delivered by what looked like the chef. Would not recommend.

never tried this establishment before, thought i would give it a go, and safe to say upon arrival and unboxing then eating the food, i discovered that it was a poor life decision and have sworn never to order/eat from this mockery of a food establishment they call a takeaway. the food was practically inedible, to the point where i wouldn't even feed this to my dog. just to add aswell, the garlic sauce was more like custard/yoghurt, ive had a greek style yoghurt with less density. disgrace.

This restaurant serves my favourite type of kebab meat

allowing an item to be ordered/charged but not cooking it. so didn't arrive. it was a kids meal too, so obviously disappointed child too now

The food taste nice but the portions are very small compared to other pizza shops in the area. They give us loads of chips to hide the small sized donor and chicken kebabs.

But this was not a problem it couldn't be helped and delivered with a very good explanation

pizza was dry hardly any topping on. the wrap was just pizza dough very thick. Wraps are made with tortillas not pizza dough. I ordered a parmo wrap. tasted nothing like parmo. it was just plain chicken. The chicken in the wrap was burnt in the wrap. Ordered a parmo too and the chicken was undercooked. can't fault the driver good service. We won't be ordering from here ever again don't waste ur money. don't know how they a a 4.5 rating. Food quality was rubbish

I forgot to order chips, rang and they were very nice about it - but oh dear the food as a whole was a real disappointment. The fish bites were the size of a flat 50 pence coin, fromv a supermarket, which explains th8e cheap price - and they tasted nasty and dry so four went in the bin. The pizza - well, it has a good second life as a box of carpet tile underlay maybe - I'd asked for thick crust but this one was nearly see through it was so thin - and skimpy on toppings. We wn't be back...

First time ordering and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The chips were cooked to perfection, the burger was lovely and the pizza was perfect!! Would highly recommend them!

strongest garlic sauce iv ever had every dip was like eating a hole garlic clove. I found it over powering but each to there own. wasn't a fan of the cheese they used on the pizza it had a weard mushy texture. but the ham and chicken on it was tasty.

excellent service received order early left a message on app to say I may be slow to get to the door due to being on crutches. a lovely note left in the box saying get well soon. Made my evening thank you

Can't believe that we paid just under £15 for 5 fish bites ,chips and sausage x2. This was a complete waste of money I've had bigger scraps than the fish bites . see photos. We travelled 400 yards home and all food was lukewarm. We have taken takeaways home from Hartlepool, Thornley, shotton and all we've still hot.Wish I could give zero . This is the worst takeaway we've ever had,

Arrived on time ,chips were a bit hard and wrap was soggy

Order was over an hour late, took over 2hours,BUT the weather was very bad and there had been an accident, the driver was very friendly and explained what had happened. The food was hot and was one of the best meals we have had in the area. Highly recommend this restaurant ( especially the fish and the pizza) we would and will order again.

Delivery lady is always cheerful, friendly and the best theey have. Food is excellent, especially the chocolate cake which is homemade. I always use Gills as they are the best in the area - having tried all of them over the last five years.

Pizzas were lovely as always. She didn't have any cheesecake, so she sent chocolate cake instead, which was beautiful.

During our visit to my wife's parents in the area, we decided to stop by 'Gills Takeaway' to grab a few pizzas. We were greeted with incredibly friendly service, and the pizzas were not only reasonably priced but also really delicious ! The variety of items they have on offer is impressive; we even ended up purchasing a couple of bottles of wine. The combination of fabulous food, reasonable pricing, and excellent service is hard to beat. As someone who typically only leaves reviews when unhappy, I can't help but make an exception for this outstanding experience. 'Gills Takeaway' definitely deserves this glowing review ! Bought a donner kebab which was basically just a donner wrap only smaller but more expensive than just buying a donner wrap in the 1st place. Chip portion sizes wouldn't even feed an african lately👎👎👎 went downhill lately. Shame cos used to be good value.

Food tasted great and was delivered surprisingly quickly. The delivery driver couldn’t have been more pleasant and respectful I will definitely use Gills again.

Delivery arrived early which we have got used to (no problem for us), lady who delivers is always happy and friendly. Excellent food, quality and quantity definitely best around (especially the chocolate cake - I have a sweet tooth lol)
