Queens Chippy in County Durham

Ordered a small chicken wrap last night Delivery spot on and the wrap eas massive Coocked to perfection Certainly recommend

It's a takeaway chip shop so no atmosphere BUT the fish and chips were excellent and service was great!

Ordered a corned beef pattie and chips and a small mixed wrap both were beautiful cost me 10.50 the wrap was huge. Whatever they cook the chicken in is unreal probably the best wrap we've had. We went in to order waited about 5 mins mins the guy who served us even brought it to the car couldn't ask for better service.

Never ordered from here but we have friends staying who fancied some fish and chips. All I can say is wow, they were blown away by the size of the portions and how lovely and fresh they tasted. Absolutely will order again. Thank you 👍

Beautiful fish and chips, we got them on the way back from a longish trip and although we go to Seaham regularly we'd never been here. Everything was perfect and we got free pizza so we could pretend we'd done it on purpose for our teenager. Will definitely go back.

Food here is amazing and from a former employee, can verify that it's exceptionally clean.I placed a large order for rock, food arrived on time & was hot & tasty. Definitely recommend this place .

Just had a kebab from here.totally disgusting.greasy horrible kebab meat ant the red cabbage in the salad was all slimy .definitely give this place a miss.

Food was soggy, the peas are really sugary

Chips are a bit scabby and could have done with abit longer tbh needs a bit improvement

seamed clean and well appointed, but the 1/4 pound burgher i try ed was the worst i have ever had any where, far to dry, stail bun toasted , and typical chippy chips mostly under cooked. will never return.

We have used this chippy for many years. I believe it is under new management/ownership. Very happy with the service and the food. Decent sized portions and we have never yet had a bad meal from them. Recommended!

Never ate food as bad as this. The server also doesn't know the menu and said it came with cheese automatically. Well on your menu it has two options... Microwaved the chips with the bol sauce so cuppa weren't nice. Friend had chip butty with a sausage. Said her chips were scraggy but sausage was OK. Result was a lot of food gone in the bin. Won't be returning.

Although the fish was cooked for me when I gave my order, the batter was 'thin' and the chips were mixed with other, colder chips. I really can't reccomend it too much. If you are hungry, it's OK

The only reason i'm doing this is cause Queens has literally just closed. We've ordered a few times from Queen's and we've never really had any issues.. until today.. the chicken box (£12!) the chicken was RAW, like purely raw.. granted not all of it was, but the smaller chicken pieces.. yikes.. I will be calling up when it opens.. but yeah.. serving raw chicken is terrible. Please check your food before you send it out.

So i ordered 2 fish lots 1 well done and1 small fish 1 curry 2 currys,no well done fish , all fish same size and chips were barely warm on one lot and red hot in the other and differing size portions of chips! Good points are fish is tasty (once through the thick batter) x Pretty quick delivery, good fone service good offers and prices! Haway man sort the batter out and well done usually has a bit of colour n crisp to it!!

Ask for fish to fry. while in que. 2. ready when you get to the counter. 3. specialties. order by telephone. 4. no Extra charges.if like me you need a special diet. you can order special meals. 5. They will be obtained for you. 6. Senior citizen special meals. 7. I never have to ask for money back. if meals are not up to my taste standards.

Ordered a large fish lot with mushy peas and a kebab wrap with garlic .. the fish looked lovely until i went to take the batter off as i cant eat it so the hubby nicks it but it was soggy and not cooked properly .. the fish was bland and i didnt look and just poured the peas out and i mean poured .. really watery and looked like they hadnt bn done right and had a funny taste .. the chips were nice tho .. And the hubby didnt like the kebab wrap at all .. so we were both left hungry after a 50 min wait for delivery to end up with no food to eat .... it could of been a one off as i have read some great comments .. we may give it a try again in the future 😉

What a cracking little chippy. It's a take away one, away from the main drag but the fish and chips are fried in beef dripping! Get in there! Large portions, very good prices and the food was excellent. A totally fantastic find.

bad experiance alan took my order was waiting 5 minutes then he told one of the other workers to do it then the chips was all hard and horrible and had hardly any gravy on my food never going again.
