Wonderful coffee shop, with a good range of drinks,snacks and sandwiches. Great for a quick snack and coffee. Customer service is excellent. Always clean and tidy when we go in.

Food disgusting service apauling would never go back to Peterlee one

Super friendly staff.. I wish that they had an area where you could take your tray and cups back yourself when you finish as every time I go the tables have used cups and plates on from previous customers. It’s not that staffs fault as they are busy serving customers so it would help them out too.

We regularly go to Costa for coffee and toast for breakfast. If you can get in past the Crèche and mothers plus business people and students with laptops all is good. Some people take advantage of the free WiFi and mothers spend ages gossiping but outside of that we like to go.

Before drinking I noticed our cups had lipstick stains on them, told a member of staff who couldn't have been happier to help. She insisted on making fresh drinks for us and apologised for the inconvenience. Customer service at its best!

Popped in here for a coffee on a Monday afternoon for the first time. It's a typical Costa but the locals seemed very friendly. Service was relatively quick. I ordered a coffee and had a sandwich and some millionaires shortbread. Total cost for this was just over ten pounds which I think is expensive. The sandwich was dry and stale so I couldn't eat it. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Ashtrays provided on tables outside too. Toilet was clean, as was the store. Probably would visit again but not have any food due to overpricing and quality of the food.

This place just gets worse. Costa coffee in Peterlee are charging top notch prices for mediocre coffee delivered in a scruffy environment. Toilets are in dire need of a good clean and redecoration. Behind the counter area is untidy and quite grubby. The card machine hadn't worked for over 3 weeks when we called and then at the same time the dishwasher was out of action so paid top price for paper cups. The staff are not unpleasant but need to ensure that the tables are cleared promptly and that the place is kept clean and tidy. This is the worst Costa we have been in. Not sure if head office consider Peterlee not worth any attention. The Arnison Centre Costa in Next was refurbished when it didn't need it and Peterlee is just ignored.

I bought some crisps and when I got home they where stale and soggy, I tried to ring but there phone line is down I’m not happy!

Coffee making tools and machines looked as clean as the staff. And that's not a compliment. Sand dry cakes and no sucralose based sweetener available. Yuck... Every single Costa machine on any petrol station makes better coffee and feels cleaner

Over priced and the staff are rude, sorry to be so blunt but this was my experience. I only had a cake which was very dry and stale tasting and a coffee. You need to have a degree to be able to order a plain white coffee, I asked for a white coffee and the assistant asked me what type of white coffee do you want and then she rolled her eyes and reemed off all sorts of skinny this and latte ect. I am not a stupid person but this is how she made me feel especially with a que behind me. I would not go to Costa coffee again.

Found it difficult to find a clean table.

The staff here are great and prepare orders for the loyal regulars as soon as they enter. Always a quality cup of delicious coffee served. Sadly, it doesn't appear as if the business owner is supportive of them. There doesn't appear to be enough staff, the place is ridiculously cold on a morning making it unpleasant to sit and there are no longer even paper napkins available, unless on request. Not what one expects from an upmarket coffee shop. This definitely detracts from the expected experience and is why 'atmosphere' has been rated low. One cannot charge luxury prices and then fail to provide basics like heat and napkins.

It's a Costa so expected levels of quality but very friendly staff.

I really like the coffees etc here but atmosphere wise it's chaos sorry to say it's not very relaxing and can be uncomfortable at times if you prefer a calmer atmosphere avoid this place

Never had food there, bit pricey for the size of cakes and cookies. Wouldn't be the first place I'd go for something to eat. But the coffees are to die for. Very friendly staff

Lovely liitle cafe in centre of town.

Absolutely dirty place, pieces of food on the floor, all tables were blocked by leftover dishes, trays were dirty as well...

Don't know why i go back gets worse not better. Dirty tables and every time i have used the disabled toilet i have had to quietly speak to a member of staff to advise of the filthy state. I am not just on about the toilet itself but the sink floor and inside of the door. Also lack of toilet paper. Surely this should be inspected every hourand when closed on a night a thorough clean all surfaces including the inside of the door. It actually looks if has not been touched for month's. I have worked in catering myself and we took turns to come off the kitcken, counter and food side and clean toilets. Or is this below the staff.

The snacks are M&S finest and you cannot find better than a Costa coffee.No matter how busy they are the staff are always obliging and efficient a pleasant service.

Lovely staff in peterlee County durham

We went to have a coffee and sandwich around 11am on Saturday, it was not busy and we were served fairly quickly. The problem was the place was absolutely filthy many tables had not been cleared and the tables had not been wiped down. When the staff did start to clear you could see their aprons where also filthy. This clearly has staff training issues as the staff seemed clueless to what was expected of them. Won't be going back.

Siesta Coffee, Peterlee Ok coffees, but the toilets were filthy! Not very pleasant

Asked for marshmallows in my hot chocolate and instead got them in a little cup, I was very perplexed by this. Otherwise good service, a very busy coffee shop and finding seating can be challenging but staff are really friendly.

Big quite and friendly place. Good for vegan options but need more sweet options in vegan other than chocolate ones. The new vegan options are good but they get sold out really soon. The normal Mac n cheese gets sold within the early hours and would not be in stock at some places. I really love the Mac n cheese but I need to get to the store before 11 to have it. Or else it would be out of stock.

Not as good as others visited. Limited stock, partially down to current conditions made this a non goer for my vegan friend. Staff were preoccupied with themselves also.

It's trivial but sitting inside and having a takeaway cup its prob not that big a deal to most I like what a like then took 3 returns to complete the order which was pot of tea kids juice glass of water and slice of cake shop was empty so hardly rushed off their feet still forgot the water standards have slightly slipped but not when the manager is on she's spot on

I LOVE Costa coffee shop in Peterlee. I visit from my home in FL a couple of times a year. Coffee (cappuccino) is creamy & delicious. Their salted caramel muffins are delicious & so are their scones. The staff are super-friendly & the WiFi is great!! Will be visiting again this coming xmas with my husband..can’t wait to take him there..btw..waaay better than Starbucks!!
