The best restaurants serving Default food in Callowland Watford East of England

Won't be eating here again. Barely and potatoe, cheese was horrible and tuna mayo filling was barely there at all. Go across the road to cafe, they do amazing potatoes.

Too spicy good for only South Indians … Secondly the staff r a bit doggy..they behave as is they don’t understand English and try to charge u more ..b carefull … And lastly false advertisement..they show u some things else on the picture and give u something else …eg we order lassi and they give us milk shake …would not recommend others

Lovely delicious food. The prawn fried rice was especially nice. Very reasonably priced as well. We’ll be back!

Best peri peri spot in Watford by a mile

Had the jerk chicken, good quality ingredients, friendly staff, clean. But for me the jerk was way too mild I am used to it being spicy. Also imo a good jerk spot should always have some proper Caribbean mustard scotch bonnet hot sauce like baron, aunt May’s etc but none was available. Will return and give the curried goat a shot.

Hands down the best peri peri I’ve had in a while. Portions were a great size for the prices. The staff were very polite and friendly. the grill and packing area are all visible from the front and it all looks really clean and efficient. While i was there a saw a lady clean the tables as soon as they were empty and swept the floor multiple times too.

Came noa lounge and couldn’t have asked for better service. Food and drinks were amazing and the vibes were there. Thanks guys

Not allowed entry on a Friday evening as we were only two and they only allowed four at least... the place was hardly occupied and the children serving were very rude, obnoxious and confrontational... I carry a couple of platinum credit cards, with good income and spending capacity and normally spend about £1k per month on eating out.... we were early evening (8.10pm). Looking down their nose at us was their mistake and loss

Headed down to this place on a Friday night in desperate need of some good food after a long day. We rang up to ask if they could squeeze us in as party of 5 and they were more than accommodating and reserved us a table. The pub itself is really nice and has a cosy feel, but is really vibrant and a good atmosphere. The food menu was great and it had a great South African twist. We had the bunny chow to start and it was delicious. Our group mostly had burgers for mains and they were all superb and it was a massive portion. We all agreed the food was fantastic and would highly recommend. Staff were very attentive and helpful too, all in all a great experience and would happily go back anytime :)

I used to have a favourite Chinese takeaway restaurant that was in Bushey, which has sadly shut down due to the owner retiring. For the longest time I couldn't find a Chinese takeaway which came anywhere close to the delight of stuffing myself with their food, until I ordered from Golden Crown. My girlfriend who is rather picky, gives Golden Crown 2 thumbs up 👍👍 My usual orders consist of: Spare ribs peking style (which are great) Egg fried rice (can't go wrong, and Golden Crown does not go wrong) Chicken Chow Mein (Yum!) Kung Po Chicken (Juicy thick well textured bits of chicken and thick sauce) Beef in Black bean sauce (great beef great sauce) Crispy Chilli Beef (great beef again, slightly chewy which I like - not crunchy) Spring rolls = good And to top it off of course they treat you to free prawn crackers.
