Lovely delicious food. The prawn fried rice was especially nice. Very reasonably priced as well. We’ll be back!

Most delicious Lamprais in town. It was full of flavours and cooked to perfection, better than the Lamprais I have had in Sri Lanka. If you’re a Lamprais lover like me, you will definitely like this spot.

Visited the place two weeks ago. Service was good, but unfortunately cannot say the same about food. I had a strong feeling that they use old food that’s been stored in the fridge freezer. Came to check the reviews and a review left by a former employee confirms my doubt. It was so bad we threw the food in the bin.

You cannot miss this place…It’s directly opposite Tesco Express on St Albans Road and immediately the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen ignites excitement from the Taste Buds. I have ordered the Chicken Wrap, Chicken Devil and have an extreme delight with their delicious Mutton Rolls. The food and spices are fresh, warming to the stomach and delightful to eat too. I have highly recommend this to place to many family and friends. Enjoy 😊

Kamu Stereet food is a terrible place where students and their dependents (especially Sri Lankan and Indian) who are new to this country and looking for work are hired by the cash in hand method and take their services without paying them and make them destitute. .I am also a victim of such abuse.I have worked for 6 months and have not been paid for 3 months.£2700.The same is true of their food.It is very dirty.A lot of food is left in the freezer for a long time and given to the customer. We even had to get beaten up by the people who were there. Therefore, those who are thinking of going to Kamu Streetfood for work and food should think not twice but 100 times. They are threatening me for posting this post.👍👍🤮 This is the link___ ***https://www.gov.uk/penalties-for-employing-illegal-workers If this is true let them see this. 5 Years Jail time + up to 60,000£ fine.

Absolutely dreadful experience at KAMU Streetfood. The food tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for ages, especially the kottu. To make matters worse, they lazily reheated everything in the microwave before serving it to customers. The kitchen was a disaster zone, with cleanliness nowhere to be found. As if that wasn't bad enough, they exploit students by withholding their salaries and resorting to threats. It's appalling how they take advantage of hardworking students. And to top it off, there are suspicions of tax evasion. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague if you have any regard for your taste buds and morals.

Me and my partner regularly order from Kamu. Excellent food at an excellent price. The owner and everyone is so friendly and kind and the food always hits the spot! My favourites have to be the mutton rolls, chicken wrap and the rice packs. Biryani is great too. Honestly amazing quality and definitely worth a visit, great spot if you want to try something different.

We had them cater evening food for our wedding and the guests loved it. Many of our guests have never tried Sri Lankan food and they are now converts! Some even said the best kotthu in London and I’m inclined to agree. Highly recommended!

Ive tried many Srilankan places in this area, nothing was ever authentic just a bunch of spicy food. When i cane across this place, everything about it took me back home. Freshly cooked food that bring out the proper flavours of Srilanka! Well done team Kamu!

Being a doctor from Sri Lanka, coming into uk I was really missing back home. Now that I came across this place I feel like I’m at home. The food here takes me to Sri Lanka. Freshly prepared authentic food. I can’t recommend this place enough.

All I can say is. Just Go there! Only place in Watford you can get fresh food made to order. They adjust your spice to your liking and it’s so delicious. I have put my whole family and friends on this place. Truly the only affordable place you can find and good portion sizes. Well done KAMU!

Ordered the chicken wrap, 1 chicken roll and 1 mutton roll. All 3 items were delicious! Every part of the chicken wrap was freshly prepared and cooked with an amazing taste!

Had a mutton roti and chicken wrap 10/10 great prices and amazing service!

Overall, the food here is ok. I paid £9 for the mutton dum biryani which could have been better; the portion size should have definitely been larger and there definitely should have been more lamb pieces in the portion as there were not many at all. The food was also a little bit too oily.

If you taste real sri lanks and south Indian food this is the best I suggest. Fried rice and kothu are really nice.

I ordered food for family and friends for lunch from kamu street food. Honestly some of the meals I ordered such as the lamprais takes me back home which was so amazing, that I ate the whole lamprais out of greed. The kottu was absolutely delicious with so much flavour and spice and I much appreciated being there and getting to know the family business. This is a great place to visit for an awesome authentic srilankan meal. Must visit!!

My first time trying Sri Lanka traditional dish, I am impressed! I wanted to get the village rice but it was sold out, so I tried the Lamprais. They offered a mixture of Lamb, chicken and fish. But I only eat fish so I chose to only have fish. It’s so yummy. Every bit in this dish bursting with flavour. The rice is so fragrant (and a lot of rice!). Certainly recommended. The seller was friendly and helpful. :)

Its not authentic at all. Bought two egg kothu and they added daal, coconut, etc and made it like a sambar rice. Never try again there

I had come from sri lanka a few weeks ago and was craving authentic sri lankan food. I came across this takeaway. As soon as i walked in the aroma made me feel like home. I got thier special village pack and it was unbelievable. I will keep coming back for sure. Canr wait to try the rest of the menu.

We bought the village rice pack and really just disappointed they given so much rice and two half potato’s and sambal and one fish peace which is just not worth the money .

Customer service is terrible. They answer the phone and leave it on the side, no one replied and when you call back they send straight to voicemail. I don't know how they expect to get business when can't even answer the phone to take an order.

I ordered mutton kottu and the food was clearly spoilt and giving out bad smell. I am a regular customer and know the difference when the food is spoilt . I called the restaurant and they are unable to give replacement. Very disappointing and never ordering at this place.

i often find myself missing the food of my homeland and get very homesick but eating at KAMU has truly cured my homesickness. the flavours were immaculate and wonderful in my mouth. will be coming again

I brought chicken and lamb biriyani two days ago. Every time I say let’s order something my friend says”Order from KAMU Streetfood” I think he is obsessed with chicken biriyani from there. But, the quantity has been reduced.It has a good flavour.But,For chicken half of the box is occupied with chicken compare to mutton it has less quantity of rice.It’s good to eat once in a while.

Spent £30 on a chicken fried rice, kottu and a chicken noodles. Was craving Sri Lankan food so bad I didn’t care how much it cost. Seeing the reviews on Google I’ve ordered it but the food wasn’t good at all sorry. Portions were good but there was no authentic Sri Lankan taste to the food. Didn’t satisfy my cravings at all. :/

Good and authentic srilankan food! I highly recommend the kothu as well as the Lamprais (rice parcel with a selection of side dishes + the main protein). Definitely worth the try.

Authentic sri lankan food, 'Authentic' being the key word here, to this amazing family run gem of a place (warrakam to you all)... very highly recommended.... Full roast chicken Biriyani, Mutton/chicken kottu, mutton biriyani, Mutton lamparis, chicken noodles, too many to list from my favourites... will definitely be back again for my friday night fix! My wife luvs this place!

After eyeing up this place for a month, I ordered first time. Didn't have everything, online order didn't get picked up, but the vegetarian kottu was amazing! Never tried before, would have again. The service was ever so friendly, attentive and sincere. Very happy I walked in.
