The best restaurants serving Default food in Uttlesford East of England

I have been a big fan of Pret from it first opened led by Sinclair Beecham and Julian Metcalfe it had great quality food and fantastic customer service coupled with excellent retail standards it wax a 5* sandwich emporium On my visit today it’s gone from 5* to 1* maybe the new owners think they can menu engineer and reduce staff training to optimise their margins but I for one will not be back unless it’s a desperation purchase

Please DO NOT order from this Dominos. My recent experience was beyond disappointing. I ordered a tuna pizza, and what arrived was genuinely inedible—both in appearance and quality. The tuna was hard as a rock which suggests the cans were open and left uncovered for days if not weeks. I raised my concerns and the response from both customer service and the very rude lady in the store was dismissive and condescending. Instead of addressing the actual problem, they focused on reassuring me about their “strict protocols” and insisted the product was within their expected range—despite clear evidence to the contrary. Worse, they framed the replacement pizza I received as a “goodwill gesture,” when in reality, it was the bare minimum after serving UNSAFE food. Oh and get this, she even said that in order to get a replacement pizza, I had to send her back the tuna pizza (guess she thought I was just complaining to get another free pizza). And I happily did send that horrible unsafe pizza right back to her. And even the one I got as replacement, I couldn’t eat because I was so disgusted and couldn't trust dominos in dunmow ever again. It’s so disappointing to see a company more concerned with shutting down complaints than ensuring customer safety. So please DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. IT IS NOT SAFE. Want a good pizza place in Dunmow? Order from Dunmow Flames Pizza & Grill, they are more affordable and SOOO much better and kinder to people.

Ordered a takeaway and I ordered lamb rogan - it was so tender and delicious things have improved no end - will definitely order again

Carpark is not free, I stayed there for 20 min, bought coffee and got 100 fine, appeal rejected. The stuff should tell each customer, that the car park for customers is not free.

You know you will be ripped off in a UK airport, but this was off the scale. £11.40 for a small black coffee and "Joe's Club Sandwich". The "sandwich" price, at £8.00, needed to be something special. It was pathetic. Younger people seem to favour the special juices - but stay away from the food, tremendous rip off and the most incredible over charging under delivering I've seen for many years in the UK. Under their sign in London Stansted it says "Coffee, Juice and Much More". Seeing as I had to picnic on a hard wood stool, drink from a disposable waxed take-away cup and try to eat the tiny "sandwich" half warmed in a toasting machine wrapped in greasy paper with a paper napkin, I think it's the most expensive underrated picnic I've ever had. There are proper restaurants in the airport that serve real food, on real plates and even have cutlery. If you want food, this is "Coffee, Juice and Much LESS for MUCH MORE".

Good coffee and good service staff are mainly friendly and seem to know how to make a good coffee. Lots of choice food as in all starbucks is expensive for what it is but cakes are not bad this is one of the better places to refresh at this service station

Memphis BBQ Chicken Royale regular meal can be amazing, but you would never know if you tried it here!. I feel so cheated. Literally zero bbq - so I was left with a chicken mayo sandwich with a couple of onion rings. No! Dont advertise it if you're not going to include it Burger King.

Music playing too loud inside. Went outside to find speakers outside too! Not necessary. Music is NOT needed everywhere. Service was OK but not the most friendly. Supervisor seemed more interested in picking up issues with her team rather than seeing to her customers. Starbucks ask customers for a name and then speltvit incorrectly and didn't use it when the order was delivered. I can't see it was a bad experience, it just wasn't welcoming.

We had a young kid and had some problems with the order and the manager went out her way to help us! She was amazing

Excellent food and excellent service. Staff were very attentive. Good value for an airport hotel. Do not be put off by other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised.

Place was empty I was new to area went in ordered 2 fish and chips They had screens up (covid screens) so went to pay with card rude lady just said “ain’t you got cash” Chips were under cooked and still hard but fish ok Won’t go back again

We had a quick dinner at Sunny Side before our flight. The double stack burger is very delicious and good size with fries. We also had 6 wings with bbq sauve. The wings were nicely cooked, very tender just melting off the bone. The 2 guys who served us were great, polite and quick with service so we felt well looked after. I’m sure not everything is great value for price but it’s expeted at an airport. We had a decent experience 👌🏼

With a limited amount of time available before our flight we attended the airside B.K. at Stansted. The digital display stated a 7 minute wait for food, however after waiting in excess of 30 minutes it was necessary to abandon any thoughts of breakfast & as the kiosk that I had used till roll was out of paper I was unable to get a refund & I'm out £23. Bad experience & I'll never go back.
