Starbucks in Uttlesford

Good coffee and good service staff are mainly friendly and seem to know how to make a good coffee. Lots of choice food as in all starbucks is expensive for what it is but cakes are not bad this is one of the better places to refresh at this service station

AVOID! I have now visited this outlet on 3 separate occasions and on 2 occasions they've managed to get the order completely wrong and we had to throw the drinks away. I will not be returning and would definitely not recommend.

I would highly recommend you avoid this Starbucks. They are extremely rude with very poor English. I have given this Starbucks three shots at getting it right and each time they failed miserably! 1) we order and they were so rude, they shouted as they could not understand the order then were unable to offer basic customer services skills required for the role. 2) we ordered a hazelnut latte and they forgot the syrup. Our coffees were also warm not hot3) we ordered a huge order and when we were half way up the m11 we noticed half our order was missing. Again the coffee was cold and again the service was poor. Being a Starbucks fanatic I am EXTREMELY disappointed. Just not good enough.

Visited Starbucks drive through on the 18th October. The drive thru speaker was broken so ordered to members of staff face. Even after three times of saying the order they have still got it wrong. The women behind the till was rude and horrible to myself as a customer and to members of staff she was speaking to.

I went in and ordered a mocha frapp and a few snacks. First of it took them forever to realise the flavour of my drink wasn't that of the brownie at the top of the list. Second when my frap arrived it was watery and not mixed. When I tasted it, it was obvious there was no syrup. Tried to tell the guy it was wrong but he just smiled and started telling me all the ingredients and how he done it right in a condescending manner. I told him not to bother as I'm not arguing with him. Horrible service. It clearly wasn't the first time he got someones drink wrong.

I ordered two flat whites as this point there was one man being served in front of me and one that had just collected an order. As I waited for the coffee's the server gave the man before me his coffee and next he put a coffee in front of me and said "flat white", I tried telling him I ordered two (had to shout the music was very loud) he ignored me so I presume he was doing the second coffee. he then served the two guys who had come in after me when I pointed out I had ordered two coffee's he said "that is a soya" and pointed too the one he put in front off me.To cut the story short when I did get my coffee he said in the most sacarine voice and without actually looking at me "have a nice day" must admit I replied " you sarcy git"In all not one of the three servers once looked at the people they where serving and gave the impresion they where far to important to be servicing coffee next time I will go to the self service Costa

Coffee and orange drink ok. Sandwiches horrible and all in all a total rip off much like most other motorway service areas

Manageress went out of her way to be extremely helpful to me today. Totally didn't have to. Basically helped me out with a situation that had nothing to do with her. Wish I knew her name but she was manager on 5th Nov 19,

Looking at the other reviews, I must have called in on a good day! It was busy but the staff were friendly and helpful, the service was quick and efficient. OK, I only wanted coffee but my wife has Soya milk and that did not cause any problems. Although we did not have any food, the Muffins looked delicious (and there were other snacks available). It was a little dearer but what do you expect; it is a service area.

We have stopped here several times, but only because it is handy on our travels! We are not fans of Starbucks, but at a previous one, we were told that we could have smaller cups of coffee, not the usual 3 sizes of buckets! And these cups were kept under the counter and we only had to ask for them! We tried that at this Starbucks and the staff were all making the right noises....nodding heads etc! But what did we get...another bucket of coffee! They were expensive too...£6.70 for a vanilla latte (although I couldn’t even taste the vanilla) and cappuccino . Possibly we will have to rethink our route!

We stop for breakfast at this Starbucks and had an egg and bacon muffin which absolutely tasteless. Then we also ordered a pain au raisin which the girl forgot, she didn’t charge for it but still. The place was less than clean. The coffee was very good. Exit time we just go to Waitrose.

Just got a coffee and a breakfast role. The three you ladies working looked utterly miserable and gave off ‘I could not care kess’ attitude. When I asked if there were napkins I was told they were in with the role. This was a lie. Ladies you have a choice, if you don’t like working there leave.

We stopped here due to delays on our journey and decided to get coffee.We love the pret a manger coconut milk lattes and so decided to order this type of coffee from Starbucks. The drinks we got were awful and so my girlfriend threw hers in the bin whereas I persevered with mine as I wanted some caffeine.It was like going to a friends house, being offered a coffee and then getting the truly awful cheap stuff that they buy from who knows where.We paid top dollar for the dreadful drinks they provided and I will never buy a product from Starbucks again ( or go there with anyone I know ).I know this is a strong reaction but our coffee was that bad !!!

Awful coffee. Every time I’m disappointed and I keep given them a chance. 2 Starbucks in this location so they have the monopoly. Come on give people what they stop for a decent cup of coffee.

Stopped for a break from a long journey. Two skinny lattes with a really awful burnt flavour. Couldnt return them as we were on our way. Very disappointing. Calibrate your machine please

Currently sitting in this Starbucks on the way to visit family. This is a regular stop for us both for leisure and business.

I have to say maybe it is just Essex people, but all the staff here were so helpful and lovely. Not one miserable face, unlike Ryanair. Nice coffee and love the raisin bread its my favourite,

The Starbucks is great, getting in and out of this services is a nightmare. Never have I seen people directing traffic at the services.

Called in here today for a stop off on the way to Folkstone.

We visited here for lunch while on our way northwards. As with most Starbucks cafes, it was kept clean and tidy, although some of the soft furnishings needed a bit of a wipe down.

Terrible customer service. Abrupt and rude. Considering the elevated prices a smile wouldn’t go amiss!

Stopped here for coffee and a bacon roll early on a Wednesday morning. Service fine and food was ok. Toilets all clean.

Tasteless White Moka and I paid for it almost £5 and the Croissant was harder and dryer than a Stone... very rude girls... they made my morning unhappy...

Pausing to swap drivers and have a comfort break on the M11, we pulled in at Birchanger services... and made an intriguing discovery.

Located in the Food Court at Birchanger Green Services, J8, M11. I have become quite partial to the Caramel Latte that Starbucks do. I go for one pump only of Sugar Free Caramel Syrup and Whipped Cream on top of my Latte. Very nice.

Nice big restaurant with Tesla and other electric car charging outside. Fast and pleasant service and was upsold to a muffin.

We stopped at the Welcome Break service station. But the smell of the toilets seems to permeate the areas in front of the loo area and it really is quite unpleasant. Very offputting. Not our best experience.

Stopped here on the way down the M11- dirty floors, tables and bathrooms. Looks like it's not seen a mop for a few months!

The staff here were more pleasant than most and helpful - they carried the drinks to our table for us. Clean and pleasant with a good range of pastries.

As part of a major franchise, places like this are always constrained by franchise "rules" that govern every aspect of how they operate. While the food is more a "snack" than a meaningful meal, I don't think one ever gets good value for money at Starbucks. One can get a MUCH nicer "snack" at the many privately-owned eateries that are within 3 minutes walking distance from Starbucks - and in many cases, pay less money.

Heading to Stansted I stopped at the services to grab a quick coffee. Starbucks coffee is ok, nothing special but a good pick me up when needing that caffiene fix.

Just had a drive through. Asked for a small Americano with extra shot. I got a large cup of hot coffee flavoured water. A lot of Starbucks seen to manage this now.... It's a shame.

Driving from West Midlands to Harwich ferry. Just been through a nasty storm and stopped here for a very welcome break. Starbucks in a very nice welcome break service area. Great coffee and a great cinnamon roll.

Visited here on an early morning run-through to London. Quick service, friendly staff. Coffee and cinnamon swirl were good.

Got a breakfast roll and a large coffee. Coffee was fine but the roll was not great. Premade and then microwaved is not a success- it just tasted streamed.

Drove through here very early in the morning. Order a breakfast roll - but this was not great - I guess it had been microwaved, it just tasted steamed. Coffee was ok.
