Carpark is not free, I stayed there for 20 min, bought coffee and got 100 fine, appeal rejected. The stuff should tell each customer, that the car park for customers is not free.

Having used this Starbucks many times in the past, it would have been nice for the person serving me to tell me to register my vehicle or get a parking fine. So now my latte will cost me £64.10 in total. Bargain. Another customer you`ve lost for good.

This car park is quite simple if you take the time to read the actual facts! It is clearly advertised as STARBUCKS CUSTOMER CAR PARK (not a free waiting zone to collect from the airport) 2 options, become a paying customer and register your vehicle in store, and receive 1 hour Free Parking OR Pay to Park via the RingGo App. If the store is closed then you MUST pay via the app. Follow these simple rules and you can walk anywhere! McDonald’s customers park in McDonalds Car Park. Simple! Starbucks to not run or gain monetary value from this car park. The rules are set by the Land Owners, who use MET to enforce these rules. A lovely big car park for the lovely customers of STARBUCKS! Very clear signage on lampposts and in windows of the store. Do not believe the factually incorrect information you read online!

The Starbucks at London Stansted Airport is a gem! Friendly staff, quick service, and delicious coffee made my visit a breeze. The cozy seating and free Wi-Fi were perfect for a pre-flight break. Highly recommend!

Absolutely atrocious, like so many others, I have now received a fine. The sign outside said nothing about needing to register to park only that parking was allowed during business hours which we were definitely within.

Take extra care when parking here as you will receive a parking charge of £100. THIS IS A SCAM We used the drive thru and bought coffees at Starbucks. The member of staff confirmed that we were entitled to an hours free parking. We were NOT told to register the vehicle inside the shop and there is NO SIGN by the drive in window telling you to register your car. We parked in the Southgate park in the Starbuck section opposite the sign that says customers of the car park are entitled to 60 minutes free parking. This sign does NOT tell you to register your car. The ANPR cameras record your entrance and exit but apparently this does not activate your free hour. We left after 48 minutes, within the allocated free hour but still received a penalty of £100. I appealed stating that we were customers of Starbucks, that we left before 60 minutes and did not enter Mcdonald's. They have now reduced it to £20. In the email they sent pictures of 3 signs that apparently are in the car park all showing different important parking information. They did not include the sign that we actually read and sat opposite for 48 minutes. I cannot believe that they expect customers to dodge around the cars to read the 4 different signs in the small car park to gather parking information. I think the information should be on one large board at the entrance of this small car park and not spread over 4 small signs. I have never parked in a car park where you are expected to run around reading all the different signs. Ridiculous. I am considering appealing to POPLA as their signs are misleading. The coffee was nice but not worth £20. I won't be using this shop again, but will use the Cafe Nero across the road in future.

WOW. The staff don't tell you that the rules have changed and you need to log your number plate. Just got a huge fine which makes an already average coffee even more unpalatable.

Will never visit again. There are signs for free period of 60 minutes for customers. I was there for 30 minutes and purchased a coffee and a caramel blondie. I received an email saying from MET parking that I had overstayed my welcome. Not a problem I thought, Ill used my credit card statement to show I was a customer. Problem! you need to register your vehicle to qualify for free parking. Purchasing from vender is not enough to get the free parking. This is the most expensive coffee I have bought because of the carparking.

What’s extremely annoying is the staff don’t tell the customers and there’s no sign stating that you will receive a parking fine if your car registration details are not registered.. It works out to be an outrageously expensive coffee I’ve had and I certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone going there. Avoid

Had a wonderful experience at this Starbucks! Nikki was incredibly kind and welcoming, making my visit even better. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile and great energy. Will definitely be coming back!

Came here as a paying customer buying drinks at the drive through. A large sign at the entrance says '1hr stay for customers'. Stayed for under an hour and received a £100 fine. Disputed claim providing evidence that I was a customer at the time I was parking. Dispute rejected as I hadn't read the fine print of the sign that says you have to input your reg at a touchscreen inside the Starbucks which is insane for a place offering a drive through service that would be scanning reg plate anyway. Ridiculous place with ridiculous parking policy that will try to catch you out and charge you at any cost.

Like others stopped for a quick break and ended up with a £100 parking charge. Just didn't expect there to be parking restrictions for a short stay at a services. From comments on here and Trip Advisor many getting caught out. I found out afterwards that there is a device in Starbucks that you have to register your number plate on. I didn't see it and, even though shop was very quiet, staff didn't draw it to my attention. The Mocha wasn't great either - weak and bitter. Suffice to say will be avoiding this services and Starbucks in future. I did appeal with proof of purchase and was able to get fine reduced to £20.

It was my first time in England and my first time at Starbucks. My conclusion. 15 min parking for a dirty toilet and a cold coffee with an extra big fine (£40) for parking. This was the most expensive and worst coffee of my life. So that was my last visit to Starbucks and my last trip to England.

Avoid!!!! Went via Stabucks drive thru. Parked to finish my coffee/cakes/sandwiches, left within 16 minutes (second time week later 52 minutes) and received penalty on both occasions! That’s a scam and if you google it you will find plenty of those cases - they even finished in newspapers. Someone left for Mc, some went to Starbucks, others like me stay in premises. Yet still charged for it!!! It’s disgusting operation 😡

What a strange world we live in when you can drive to a place to buy food and drink that has tables and chairs for customers use park in there car park order wait for your food then wait for some to finish in the toilet so you can get the key from them so you can use the facilities ,then return to your car eat your food then drive out with your drinks almost 20 min later from when you entered the area and receive a fine as other reviews. Parked here to get a coffee to have in & was issued a £100 parking fine, I paid cash for coffee & there is no video image of me conveniently, there wasn't even a ticket on the windscreen I just had fine through the post one week later ! This is disgusting & I'm taking this further especially since staff at Starbucks did not want to know ! I wouldn't be surprised if you get a ticket going for the drive through ! My advise is to avoid this place and go somewhere where there's free parking just incase !

Avoid this place, it's a trap designed to con you out of £60 or £100 for parking! There is supposed to be 1 hour's free parking here. I was parked for just 19 minutes in the dark one evening - and yet I've received a £60 charge from MET Parking Services, with the threat to increase this charge to £100 if not paid within 14 days, because I had not entered my vehicle registration into a machine - yet the parking sign is so dimly lit you cannot read the small print from a distance, only the line that says you can park for an hour. Avoid going there to avoid being ripped-off!

I stopped for a coffee, parking used to be free for 1 hour, I stood there for 59 minutes and paid a fine. Apparently they changed the parking time. So if the business is failing, you have to make money on the parking lot.

I received a parking ticket for using the drive-thru. I drove through the drive-thru, paid for my coffee, and did not stop except to wait in the drive-thru queue.

It take years for the incompetent workers to make a coffee. Other than that, if you assume that it is absolutely normal to park there because you are a customer, like me you will pay £60 parking ticket.

Got a parking fine due to misleading signage - feels like a scam designed to grab cash from innocent drivers. Wish I’d seen the other reviews on here before visiting.

i being there so many times staff are not friendly and it’s saying 1 hour free to customer it’s not 2 weeks i got 4 pcn do not go there they’re so confusing people with the parking. It is not free parking for the customers because we are getting PCM. I’ll be inside the Starbucks. I’ll try to talk to staff explain to them why we get tickets they’re telling me it is different companies they’re not responsible for their customers. They don’t care about anything. They’re not helping anybody. They’re not saying how we’re going to vote with the PCN they not showing us any machine if you need to put our numberplate so that’s the reason I’m given 0 to Starbucks shame they are at airport they try to give us PCN that’s where people waiting or getting them coffee like other store then or given PCN if you’re saying one hour free on the main sign you are confusing people you’re really confusing people you need to remove that sign from there put Ring and go and make people pay for that. I love Starbucks bit first time in my life I have experience so horrible service from them . No good moring or anything at the till ..all the ladies look like they are punish for working there ! They make my order wrong and I ask kindly to fix it do she look like me like I'm stupid and she took back my drink with horrible attitude of course forget about sorry or anything like that ! I didn't get her name but omg how rude can you be ? After that I ask another lady for the toilet key and she just trow it on the till like rubbish. Is not the way how they should behave at work place . Where I leave from there I said bye and of course no replay from any of them . It wasn't busy or anything like that so they hear me very well. MET Parking are the biggest scumbags ever, my disabled, diabetic mum tried to park in mcdonalds as she needed to use the toilet and get something to eat. The disabled bay in mcdonalds was taken up by someone without a badge so she had to use the starbucks car park. It was too dark and foggy to read the sign and she got fined And from all the negative reviews regarding the poor service, cleanliness and food quality I've just read there is no way me or my family would ever use this car park or this branch of Starbucks! This place needs some serious improvement or should be closed down

Came here early before my flight, staff were very friendly and kind, and the coffee was great as always. The only thing is to make sure you check in your car numberplate on the machine inside otherwise you get fined, we were verg unaware of this especially being tired and the staff didnt mention, luckily saw it last minute. Could do with more signs inside regarding the fine for parking situation as i didnt see the signs in the dark.

Slow as anything. Ordered drove round and just sat there for 5 minutes. Had to ask to make sure I had actually ordered. They then made my drink. No one behind me in the drive through and 4 people inside.

Did not make the drink correctly, no pumpkin cream intop, when I asked the barista about it they said that just how the drink is.. If I'm paying £6 for a coffee I would expect it to have all the stuff it's supposed to have. Not just topping it up with more milk.

The coffee was ok, staff maybe a bit tired. Anyway, luckly i did not seen the sign saying free car park for 60 minutes, and i paid for parking. What is annoying is the minimum you can pay is 2h....who needs 2 hours to drink a coffee?

60min free stay for customers is a scam

Parked here as I was desperate for the loo and went into Starbucks which says 'toilets for customers only' so I used McDonald's instead. When I came out a kind taxi driver told me I had to pay for the car park now otherwise I'd get a £100 penalty as they take photos of your car and you getting out of it! That's is basic infringements of your rights. Completely against GDPR and I will be taking this to a legal authority.

Could of quite easily been a a 5 star review, however this morning I used the drive thru at 9.24 on 31/7/24 and ordered a all day breakfast wrap with a Medium soya super free caramel latte. Unbeknown to me when I get 3 mile down the road I've got a semi skimmed sugar caramel latte. And to round it all up a wrap that tasted like I was chewing on a old bit of rubber.

The Drinks taste the same as any other place but baby the staff, all but maybe 1 quite girl, are a mess…. The one with the wide back and blonde hair cockney bird (and yea you know who you are your the biggest in the nest ) tried screwing up her face when my dad asked her a question about their piss stained toilets with one key to lock and unlock all? Then proceeded to look at her colleague as if my dad asked her waist size… then said “it’s 3pm… I’m off i need to go home” . Baby her bad built, ill shaped, un trained self needs to take a seat and stay there. Storming out like the baconator they are. You will come across a customer who will drag you.. and to the guy who works there too you need to stop letting these girls gather you up. We popped in to this Starbucks as we were staying nearby. The staff don’t know about the NATIONAL free refill policy. We stated we wanted to stay in but they gave us takeaway cups. They did not know how to use a e-gift card for payment. You have to borrow a key to use the toilet. We asked for a receipt and weren’t given one. The drinks were ok but not good value.

Customer unfriendly place compared to the busy McDonald's next door. Parking at McDonald's is free, Starbucks £4.50 minimum pay for 2hrs stay. Toilets are locked, you need to buy something and then you can ask for the key. They are watching you, they will charge you, they don't like you. I don't mind Starbucks at all but this one is horrible. Not recommended 👎🫤 McDonald's next door is very busy but they can manage free toilets and parking. Come on Starbucks, you can do better!

The lady working here was so so rude!! I made an order with a guy who when I ordered I asked for a new drink they had on the menu, which was a creamy drink with flavourings but without the coffee. She made it for me with the coffee and when I said something she was soooo rude and tried to make me feel stupid shouting it’s a coffee based drink. To which I explained I asked when I ordered and if you can’t make it without the coffee then tell me and I would have ordered something different. She kept going on and on being all condescending and rude. Then when passing me my husbands late said that’s got coffee in it you know. Like I’m stupid. Stopped here to grab a coffee last Monday. Discovered they were closed so went to McDonalds instead. As per the review from the previous reviewer, I would be VERY careful when using this site, as the franchise owners participate in a ‘scam’ parking scheme with their neighbouring McDonalds franchise and Met parking who monitor the whole site. If you proceed beyond the McD’s drive-through to park in the Starbucks end of the site to use McD’s here, you will receive a £60 fine if you don’t pay for parking when the sister franchise Starbucks is closed at night (if only for a few minutes). Met parking operate both sites and they and the owners clearly benefit from the tens of dozens of cars that innocently make this mistake every night without seeing the badly-lit signage and lack of road markings or barriers. There is a sign saying there are parking charges to the left of the Starbucks area, but you won’t see this at night, as it’s not lit up. And other signs say 60 minutes free parking. In the small print, they say this only applies when Starbucks is open. So do yourself a favour, do you really want to pay £60 for that late coffee at McD’s when you find that the Starbucks is closed?? Head somewhere else instead.
