Pret a Manger in Uttlesford

Locale sempre affollato,staff giovane,servizio veloce.Ottimo per una pausa.Cibi confezionati bene.Qualità/prezzo accessibile a tutti.

I have been a big fan of Pret from it first opened led by Sinclair Beecham and Julian Metcalfe it had great quality food and fantastic customer service coupled with excellent retail standards it wax a 5* sandwich emporium On my visit today it’s gone from 5* to 1* maybe the new owners think they can menu engineer and reduce staff training to optimise their margins but I for one will not be back unless it’s a desperation purchase

Unfortunately what I assumed to be a manager of the place came out from the back talking really rudely to the servers in front of all the customers, put a real damper on the atmosphere! Great to see how the servers stayed professional and untouched by the gross acting manager! Beautiful ❤️

I should have learnt it by now; this cardboard like food is a waste of money. It looks nice when you are hungry but you open the box and all illusions disappear - it is cardboard

I have used the Pret at Stansted Airport for many years and have always enjoyed the quality and range of produce and the friendly service. On this occasion (18 December 2023) it could not have been more different The range of sandwiches and fillings was much reduced and the staff (certainly the staff member who served me) seemed surly, rude and uninterested. When my (otherwise silent) server broke off from totalling my order on their till for a lengthy chat with a colleague, I simply gave up and went to Cafe Nero. They welcomed me as a customer and were fast, efficient and friendly.

Cibo fresco a portata di mano. Potrei riassumere così la mia esperienza. Ho provato alcune insalate, salmone e gamberetti, davvero ottime. Ben presentate e piuttosto ricche. Sicuramente non è un ristorante, sicuramente non è economico, sicuramente non sarebbe la mia prima scelta in altre occasioni. Ma è anche vero che è la prima volta che in un aeroporto mangio qualcosa di decente e saporito e non mi tocca giocare al ribasso con panini costosissimi dai condimenti risalenti alla preistoria o insalatine misere con 2 pomodorini e mezzo uovo prossimi alla decomposizione. Non è economico, ma il cibo in aeroporto non lo è in generale. Lo consiglio.

Non è facile trovare spunti  per un pranzo / cene veloce in aeroporto senza dover ricorrere ai soliti fast – food o tramezzini rinsecchiti e invece è stata una buona alternativa con pret a manger . I prodotti sono freschi e di dimensioni accettabili.  Il prezzo non è dei più economici ma almeno le insalate sono gustose e abbastanza ricche Non mi capita spesso di riuscire ad essere soddisfatta di un pasto in aeroporto

Price Gouging at its worst! Min. £4 for a sarnie, £2 for a bag of crisps(!) Plus drinks up to a smoothie for £5.50!!!! I appreciate times were fought during Covid but really???? No wonder there was zero queues!

We had a great experience at this Pret! Just on our way through Stansted heading off on holiday and went to buy some lunch (saving ourselves the sky high lunch costs on the plane). Our server, David Ambrose is excellent. Helpful, professional and friendly. A real credit to Pret. Thank you!
