Just had the best takeaway for my family. Delivered on time, fresh, hot and we even receiver complimentary large garlic bread pizza. Would not hesitate to recommend!

My favorite place for oatmeal flat white and occasional lunch. Today I had carrot cake which was exceptionally good. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Can’t believe just how expensive this place is now and yet the food has rapidly gone down hill. Last week my delivery was missing an item and this is the second time i’ve ordered a margarita pizza from here where the cheese is burnt. We also ordered a kebab that came with grilled veg which was swimming in water. That’s it’s now I’m afraid, dominoes used to be the more expensive option but you seem to get more for your money from there and the quality is better than Bosphorus now.

Terrible customer service. Questioned total charged as I knew they had either over charged or got order wrong. Order was wrong however they just argued back. Recommend AVOID at all costs

Terrible food, inaccurate advertising and when questioned on price they just argue and swear at you.... avoid at all cost!! Use flames as you'll get much better service and food

Our son who is very ill has come back from uni . So we thought let's have a treat. So we thought about a takeaway. Ordered over £50.00 , see photos . Would you pay over £50 for this when it eventually turns up.They delivered to the wrong address. Over 90 mins late . And excuse over excuse . They have no honor or integrity . Do not use. If you want a. Kebab try flames . I will not use it again...... Terrible service. And a waste of hard earned money .

Lamb shashlik was amazing, honestly the best I've had and service top notch too. Very impressed.

Ordered chicken wings chips and pizza. Pizza was nice. Chicken wings cold and chips were cold and horrible. I waited 25 minutes for my food to be cooked and then it was freezing cold apart from the pizza

I order probably 6-8 weeks and I am surprised by the low reviews, I have been getting food from here for well over 10 years and never had an issue. I ordered a delivery that turned up after an hour (quoted time was 45 minutes to an hour) and it was cold, I rang them and my order was re delivered in less than 15 minutes, piping hot and excellent tasting

The kebabs we had were OK, typical Donna meat. One thing I did like was the salad, which was served in individual pots for you to add yourself . Our order was over £70 and they gave us free cheese garlic pizza which is a nice touch

The food is good at times, but there is a delivery drive who is very rude, basically throws the food at you then storms out slaming doors.

YUCK !!! Tried to order a kebab… nothing fresh of the grill. They scrapped the meat & chicken from the bottom of the pot. Absolutely running with saturated fat ….like an oil slick 🤮🤮🤮 Dirty establishment & one to avoid !!!!!

The food is acceptable. Pitta bread is generally only useable if you tear it into pieces. Chips are usually good. However there is 1 delivery driver in particular which we had tonight and on multiple other occasions who is VERY rude even making comments about what you are wearing when answering your own door while not apologising for dropping some of my order. He should not be a face for the shop as he is bringing them down.

Terrible I paid for 12 peices of chicken got 10, no chips , and I had half of my pitta bread missing and the salad was old and dry! Never use them again! £47 FOR 2 KEBABS 10 wings and 2 bottles of drink !

Order pizza from here regular normally they are good but tonight they are taken the piss keep putting the prices up and then delivering chargers if they keep doing this there be out of business ITS NOT GOLD PIZZA

Have used this Kebab shop a number of times over the years. Unfortunately I have also stopped using them numerous times as the service and food was appalling. Whilst they were the only kebab shop in the local area there is somewhere else (Flames) and I would recommend anyone to consider them over this place. Food inconsistent as well as orders being wrong the staff are unwilling to admit blame or resolve it in any other way than theirs. Was refused a refund for food not received and had the phone out down on us multiple times. Would give us his name at first and refused to let us speak to their supervisor initially. I will never use them again, as simple as that and I hope after reading this you'll reconsider too.

Good variety, nice clean food, lots of meat choices, well prepared and excellent salad and sauces.

I had a takeaway from here and the food was really cold. And it made me really ill today been sick serval times and really bad stomach. Not happy at all definitely would not recommend them.

First time trying here. Food was delivered quickly. We ordered a special kebab for 3 of us. A great selection of meat and so much of it. Not greasy at all will easily feed 5 people. Such good value. Ordered through the website and no issue with delivery. Won’t be long before we order again. Well done.

Ordered a few items from them was told 45 minutes understandable with the time scale much to my surprise a knock at the door 5 minutes later wash shocked to see out delivered made a joke about how quickly it arrived quote from driver not bissy anyway paid and gave a tip for speedy delivery that's we're it all went down hill food was cold part off order not there kebab was dry and disgusting not even the dogs would eat it sorry stay safely away from this place and after calling them got no we're if there place is anything like there food it not fit for humans consumption not even our dogs would eat it 😢

They say the deliver to your area when they DON’T then they immediately cancel the order, take the money from your card (surprise surprise!) when they call you they say it’s just eats problem. I have been chasing just eat for refund for 3 months. Stay away!

90 minutes for delivery?? We live in Dunmow, not LA..... Doubt I will get a response. We never do.....

If you are lucky enough to get your dinner (delivery was cancelled an hour after we ordered), it might give you food poisoning. Havent had a good meal from them sadly. Never ordering from them again.

Ordered a mixed kebab , possibly the worst kebab I have ever ordered. Doner meat was completely tasteless , the shish was as tough and chewy as my leather boots and everything else was dripping in fat. Will never eat there again.

I had a meal from there last year and the food was really cold and when I spoke to them they wouldn’t give me my money back. And cause I ordered through Just eat they gave me a voucher. Would not recommend this place.

Very poor where do I start well asked to be delivered about 20:00 but was delivered at 5 past seven when mentioned to person on phone answers straight back to me I’m the delivery driver and we don’t do timed slots. Went to collect it from reception where delivery driver was waiting he didn’t say much other than grunted to acknowledge to me saying thanks so got to hotel room to eat only to find every component of the kebab was separated so I had to build it myself which is a pet hate if I wanted to build it myself I might of just made it from scratch at home at best food was average my advice is steer clear

Always been great food from Bosphorus. Despite living about 6 miles away, they deliver the food hot and always been tasty

We order from here regularly during lockdown and recommended to many people who have been equally pleased with food and service. I always have their kebabs but was recently introduced to their pizzas, which were a win.

Awful!! Food production was ok but the attitude of the manager is disgusting. Telling me to take my business to flames (across the road) clearly has no resplect for his own business!! The rudeness in his voice when I asked questions was unbelieveable! Will never use again!!!!

I’m jacks dad we tried to order tonight and we are a regular customer iv never been charged or delivery to my house in little Easton mill end the guy I spoke to to night on the phone was so rude to me about delivery charge so I won’t be use in them again after all the custom iv gave them 1star

Placed an order threw just eat and what an awful experience with this establishment , so dont waste your time . The Food that arrive looked awful to look at let alone eat ! The driver came back to collect the food after me stating the food order i could not eat it !! now waiting on a refund ! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS !

Always enjoy our meal from Bosphorus, their kebabs & pizzas are lovely as are their fried chicken and burgers. Been using them for over 10 years now and always happy with the service and food.

Had a Bosphorus Special kebab 13/04/20 and the lamb shish was definitely off. I can confirm I have eggy (sulphur) burps and a churning gut today 14/04/20. I think can safely say I’d be avoiding their food going forward.

I had bad experience with his food and food delivery service , i bought pizza and chicken donor That pizza was burnt and Donor meat was also burnt and short on delivery , they 1:30 hrs to do delivery , I rang to them about to ask the short delivery , they cut my phone , not even say sorry , this people never change , because I had same experience 3 or 4 months before and the same experience had one of my friend as well

Shish & Shaslik (?) kebabs are always really fab! fast delivery so super fresh..! love it. I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative ones, however I've only ever eaten kebabs. I've not had anything but great food & service from here.

Worst takeaway pizza ive ever had, thick Undercooked dough. Cheese that hadn’t melted. Can get better frozen pizzas in Aldi for a couple quid.

1 star as I got food poisoning from here, I've given an extra bonus star as I got the next day off work.

Ordered for first time tonight! Placed order on website and paid on website! Slow delivery! Then when arrived driver demanded money saying we had not paid! Said we had paid! Restaurant called 6 times whilst attempting to eat (salty greasy rubbish)! Stating had not paid and needed to pay again! Explained that had confirmation email and online banking! Asked us to prove! Sent over screenshots proving paid! Surprise surprise said it was an issue with their third party payment system! No apology! Makes me wonder how many others that they have done and will do this to that will end up paying again due to the intimidation given! For this reason did not eat much of food however have all just gone to bed with 2 bottles of water each as what we did eat was salty and too greasy!

We have been using this place for well over a year and has always been ok. The last order we placed wasnt very nice. The chips were just burnt and Crispy and the doner meat was hard and chewy. We gave the benefit of doubt and thought maybe just a bad evening, to then recieve another meal exactly the same and the chicken so over cooked it was dry, not edible. Very dispointed because dont know whats gone wrong, maybe new chef which clearly needs sacking

If there was a minus rating I would give it to this place overpriced for greasy cheap and nasty chips and even if they were decent chips they are stingy portions anyway staff not friendly very rude and unhelpful and impolite when approached about size of portions they take a defensive approach and attitude no attempt is made to please the customer whatsoever so avoid this place at all cost overpriced for cheap and nasty food and stingy portions!!!

Absolutely disgusting turned up cold my kebab salad had a cold bit of lamb donner meat in it and totally ruined my meal the hygiene needs to be checked because it was absolutely disgusting do not eat here

Staff got order wrong. Staff didn’t deliver order. But called and pretended to be outside saying we weren’t opening the door. But then other member of staff at shop said they hadn’t even left with the order yet.

Superb kebab flogging establishment

I had heard this place had gone downhill but didn't realise how much so until I got my order tonight. The jacket potato was swimming in oil blegh!

Food took over 50 minutes original driver apparently got stuck in a ditch but they did get somone to collect and deliver cold food who said "Don't check it just pay for it. " We did not pay for it. It was cold. Pay an extra fiver and go Domino's.

Not impressed the last few orders I’ve got from there. It’s either the order is incorrect or missing stuff, and when I ring up to question what’s happened they ask me if they can give it to me next time I order.. that shouldn’t even be a suggestion if the thing I’ve ordered is wrong or isn’t even there. Nice food. There ‘large’ portion of chips is more like small. Ordered a chicken wrap, to get sent a chicken shish wrap (not what I ordered)! After ringing 1 hour later I was sent what I ordered originally, to realise how burnt and crispy the wrap was. The chicken was dry. It was just a horrible dinner. I will not be ordering from this place again.

Place an order on the app and said 11:35 delivery never turned up, rang and did have good service got hung up on and they didn’t want to deliver the food I have already paid for, very disappointing.

Great food, you get served pretty fast. Just make sure you double check they take your order correctly.

I asked for a quarter pounder with cheese which I got charged 80p more for, even though other place give u cheese with your quarter pounder as stand in London. The place stuck and the men that worked there didn’t wash there hands whilst handling cash, and all spoke over the food.

ordered two chicken burgers from their app to be delivered. order arrived and chicken burgers were dry, no salad or mayo included. phoned to complain and person on phone verbally abused my partner then hung up. previous orders were good but shall not be using them again since the obviously dont give a crap about their customers.

That is the last time we will be ordering from here, I could deal with the hour and a half waits for food when they're busy and the missed drink off of orders which is usually because the delivery driver has forgotten. But this time was a complete joke. Food was late as usual, arrived luke warm, the paper bag had disintegrated where it was so wet. The chicken burger was soggy and so wet it fell apart and the bread was like a mushy sponge, completely inedible. The same with the chicken wrap, the paper was wet from each side of the wrap, the paper had then stuck on to the wrap and had to be removed off the paper, the wrap was also mushy and soggy, there is no way anyone would eat that. The hummus (which is usually nice) had no flavour, no taste whatsoever. The pitta bread that was wrapped in paper was also wet and inedible. The manager would not refund the total amount and even drove to the house to inspect the food after I had called just eat. Earlier on the phone he said he was not picking the food up as they were busy, hence why I checked the food and the packaging in the outside bins. The manager yhen arrived late at night to the house to argue some more, so I took him to the bins and showed him exactly what was wrong with the food and the packaging and he still says there was no issue other than condensation. It was a whole lot worse than just condensation, I took the photos to prove it. Poor customer service.

Bought a large kebab and small chips from here this evening to take home for me and my boyfriend. Thoroughly disappointed as the small chips had about ten chips in it and my boyfriends kebab was also tiny with hardly any meat on. Cost £11 and it didn’t even touch the sides. Was going to call up and complain but by the looks of things they don’t do anything about it, and this was not our first bad experience with them either. Not eating here again.

2.5 hours after order and no food. Cancelled order and was told to go to shop on Monday for a refund! No thanks. Won’t be using anymore! Bye!!

Awful, disgusting, wouldn’t Ever return or recommend, waited 10 minutes for a take away, the gentleman picking his spots in the mirror when my husband ordered should have sounded alarm bells. Didn’t receive any chilli sauce & the salad comes in a separate pot!!! My Dog didn’t even eat this....

NEVER USE BOSPHOUS KEBABS!! We have used them for 3 and a half years since moving to Dunmow. Their food has always been good and we have had the odd occasion of a miss drink here and there.. But tonight has been a while new level! After getting the order completely wrong I called to let them know only to be passed to what I assume was the owner and receive abuse!! He didn’t listen to what I was saying, told me they are busy and they tried to confirm what I ordered back in broken English.. it got so bad a young girl came in the phone to try and sort it out. Never have I had someone in business talk to a customer like that! Rude, shouting and nasty. The fact the girl had to apologise for her employer speaks volumes and I feel sorry for her having to work there as she tried her best to sort it. If your busy it’s a good thing! But honestly you’ve lost a customer that used you almost every other week! Poor employees having to sort your hot tempered head out! I hope they get a good wage!!

It looked fairly disorganised and the uniforms looked a little tired. I had the chicken shish and they certainly made sure it was totally cooked. Shouldn’t complain but it took a while and meant for crispy chicken. Not what I expected.

Stopped using Bosporus over a year ago due to missing food, kebabs with no pita bread, double the wait time quoted and generally rubbish food. A year later thought we would give them a second chance. Same again! Missing food told 25mins and took over a hour and food was a shower of s**t Do yourself a favour and go flames Accross the road!

Even though I only live round the corner I decided to get it delivered. I shouldn’t have bothered. It would have been quicker to have gone in and ordered and avoided the £2 delivery charge. I understand they were a driver down but they gave an estimated time of 80 minutes and then didn’t even meet target. other than the food was good if not a bit pricey. I think I’ll try Flames next time.

So my score is based on the fact that they got the order right (for this place it is a miracle). So the order was a doner kebab and their special chicken kebab. The doner was ok, the chicken was tasteless but the chips weren’t cooked at all. They were rock hard in the middle and just go to shows they couldn’t care less about quality. So I haven’t used them for 5-6 months because I couldn’t get to flames and Stansted couldn’t deliver. If either of those were an option I wouldn’t have dreamt of using these lot. If you go in after the pub and supervise/stipulate you want the chips cooked and tell them the order 10-15 times then it’s ok. If you order over the phone then they couldn’t care less and you get horrible food and you have more chance of winning the lottery than getting decent food delivered. I might try them again in 6 months as they obviously don’t look at these reviews or they would have improved (just for a laugh). What food/restaurant places in this day and age don’t look at their reviews online. The answer is those that don’t care. Fingers crossed they start caring and realise they would get so much more orders/money if they could be bothered to put the customer first. In the meantime, there are much better options for this kind of food now in Dunmow.

Kebabs good and burgers good but pizzas just not up to the standard of dominos or Pizza Hut, also I find the prices of cheesy chips expensive compared to normal chips

20 mins over delivery time rang reataurant who clearly had forgotten our order, 1 hour 45 mins after placed the order restaurant canceled the order very poor service, make matters worse on app they stated food was delievred when clearly wasnt very poor !! Avoid

The food is terrible and if you visit in the summer you can watch the ants crawl in through the window, around the bin and across the diamond plate picnic bench. It should be closed down
