Burger King in Uttlesford

The slowest fast food in Essex? The food was OK. But the service was poor. 3 staff behind the counter, only two people waiting for food when we ordered. But the food still took almost 20 minutes to be prepared.

BEWARE . I wonder how many others have been taken for this scam . Placed my order & paid on the self service platform . Then received a receipt stating that even though the payement had been taken the order had not been processed . Please take your receipt to the cashier . Did this & the cashier stated i would have to perform the order again & i stated that i had already paid ONCE but he said i would not be charged twice . I WAS as i found out on my statement next day . CHEATING SCUMBUGS

Good service. Quick and hot foods. Nice place to sit with family. Ice cream was very nice.clean environment

The man who served us was very rude. He missed multiple drinks off off our order as well as a 4 piece chicken nuggets and a hamburger. When i went back the 3 times after realising my food was missing the manager swore multiple times at me and was very rude. Do not reccomend at all. Find another place to eat.

Great customer service provided by maryam she was really helpful and kind also great food too. I don’t want to use order point so maryam took my order with a smile and chat. NOT LIKE KFC who didn’t want to know

I have had the app a while now and needed to update my card so I could order offers. Will NOT let me! All my details are in the app just new card details. The scan feature captured wrong valid date 4 times so utterly useless. After manually entering numbers a dozen times still no joy. Given up. Bare Grills tomorrow for a proper burger.

A very quiet lunchtime here, now I know why! Ordered at the counter and told it was cash only or we had to use the self-service machine for a card. After 'negotiations' the server allowed us to use the card terminal in front of us on the counter! Then told the coffee machine was broken and a couple of minutes later informed it was mended .........but still ended up with a cup of tea anyway! The Whoppas were cold, although the chips were OK. The tables were filthy and hadn't been cleaned or cleared that day by the looks of it. Someone had dropped full drink on the floor and that remained there for the duration of our visit. This place is a disaster waiting to happen - Needs a visit from HSE and Food inspectors

Stopped to have lunch. Unfortunately it eas very busy but I understand that one has to wait and factor in summer holiday rush. But to compromise on service and quality is not acceptable. Coke was warm and flat. Rude staff

No way to order food at the desk and forced to use the self service ordering kiosk. I have never used this method of ordering before and was no one to help me. Managed to work my way through. Seemed to be no option to request a burger my way, for example no salad. The burger was tasteless. The chips were over salted. No wipes given and no available to take. The coffee was the most disgusting I've tasted and went in the bin after one sip. The wait for food was long too were several staff milling around behind the desk. All in all pretty disgusted and I'll never stop here again. By the way the self service boards are way high for a disabled person to reach from a wheelchair

This was the first ever Burger King I have been in where they didn't have any burgers (despite me not arriving in the middle of the night or anything). Several alternatives weren't available either. What I did have was nice but would have been nice to have had a choice.

Good Services and food. Prices are a bit more expensive due to being on a motorway services, but its ok.

El lugar dispone de gel y cuida la distancia de los clientes. Pedí una hamburguesa sencilla con papas y bebida y con mi nota tuve un cupón para dar mi opinión en internet y me dieron un sandwich gratis en mi siguiente compra de papas y bebida. Todo muy limpio, rápido y bien.

Against my better judgement stopped to grab a quick bite, checked on the BK app and it allows you to check what offers are available for a given restaurant. They all cane up, took the kids in and was rudely told they don’t honour it as it’s a franchise. The kids meals (no toy or book) was £4.50 each (5% VAT) fries covered in salt and Luke warm!!! I bought sushi from waitrose, the kids ate half of it and left most of their BK.

Bacon Double Cheeseburger lukewarm, bun stale, bacon barely cooked. Onion rings floppy. Hubbies whopper barely had any salad bits in. V disappointed as not been to BK for a while and won’t return. KFC far better bet.

Rude staff, bought a large coffee and were given small, when we questioned it we were told they had run out of large cups....so we asked why sell us a large one then?! Food also wrong, girl huffed and rolled her eyes, duty manager overheard it all and didn’t bother to step in. Overview....rude......inaccurate.............unhelpful!

We ordered 2 Whoppers that were the worst we have ever seen or tried to eat! I complaied asking is this what they normally look like and reply was, yes what's the problem...! Crap king more like!

The best thing about this Burger King is the possibility to watch aircraft as they gain altitude from Stansted Airport. Our little one loved it.The food is standard Burger King, with little to commend it. This branch does not offer refillable soft drinks. Being a motorway service station it is possible to mix and match meals and we accompanied our meals with drinks from Starbucks.

This restaurant is located at Birchanger Services, there’s plenty of spaces as they have a central food court, the staff were excellent, the kitchens appear clean and the burgers are delicious.I was using a discount code from reviewing a previous Burger King restaurant, the manager (Cristin, I think from the receipt) was excellent, he’s smart and unlike the usual managers and staff found at other Burger Kings, the other staff were also friendly and their uniforms were presentable. Cristin helped me with my discount code, he was really friendly, and wouldn’t look out of place in a high end restaurant.The burger was amazing, it’s the second time I’ve had the halloumi burger and it exceeds anything else found at McDonald’s or KFC, the fries were good quality and sauces such as mayo, bbq and ketchup were complimentary.I will definitely be returning to this restaurant again in the future.

I had the Western BBQ Bacon, wish I hadn't bothered! The bacon was undercooked and chewy, disgusting. They absolutely swamped it in BBQ sauce, enough for 10 burgers, it completely killed the taste (thank goodness) of the cheap, mushy, undercooked burger. There was a ton of limp lettuce (all brown on the edges) but they forgot the tomatoes. The onion rings were also undercooked.Needles to say this overpriced disgusting excuse for a meal went straight in the bin after one mouthful, on the plus side the chips were ok.Another issue is with the self service touch screens, there is no option for black coffee on the meal deals.

Appalling service and staff soo rude, just ignore you when wanting to order. Bring back McDonalds at services on motorways 😂

arrived at the services on a busy evening KFC not open, in fact look abandoned and as Burger King appeared to be the only busy option chose a couple of whopper meals, fresh tasty and served with a smile, fast food as it should be, loved it.

Stopped off on the way back from Stanstead on 24th November, 2018. Ordered for both of us, two sausage and egg sandwiches. Also tried to order two Cappucinos but was told ‘we only have black or white’, so ordered two white coffees. The sandwiches were dry and tastless, and the hashbrowns werent much better. The coffee was terrible !! Needless to say we didnt eat or drink much and left. The seating area was digusting, really unclean. Also, none of the staff new any customer service , quite rude!! Will not be visiting again.

Stopped here and there was only a couple in front of us. Service was slow and like the staff had disinterest in any customer service.

It’s difficult to do a review of a fast food chain like Burger King, especially ones located in service stops which Is why I’m only giving a 3 I can’t justify more, you know what you’re getting at a BK. However there’s one member of staff that’s made me write this, I’ve visited twice in last couple of months and both times I’ve been served by a man called vas, I’m unsure of his full name as that’s all his badge says. He is fantastic, a real credit to the franchise, he all you want in a customer service role he is polite, curtious, friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble I notice from people that were in front of me, he was great and I’d give him a job tomorrow if I could, he deserves any and all career development available from Bk.

Called in on the way to the airport , absolute joke . Rip off for a start , custom service none existent, waiting 10 mins for a limp cold burger , when it came was missing onion rings , no apology, people ordered after me got there food before me .. never again .. avoid at all cost .. staff couldn't give a toss !

Fast food on the usual BK Menu, happy friendly staff behind the counter, fast service but a Q can form very quickly if coach parties turn up, as this is on the Service area.

Hi, good for a quick stop on route. Basic but adequate. Staff friendly. Needed a bit of a clean up and toilets not too nice.

Although I didn't eat here, I have a Starbucks instead! Most of our party did, burger kings burger king, hot and tasty and an ideal quick meal between traveling, the restaurant is clean and tidy, with seating, the staff are pleasant and serve with a smile. There's also other place to eat or takeaway snack? Clean toilets in the centre.

Called in late for a coffee had ordered two chicken royale meals the staff were very helpful but the chicken had slimey llettuce in the buns not good

Se detuvo en la manera de Londres mis amigos estaban nuggets de pollo parecía sentado allí durante horas. 14 libras para mi 2 comidas whopper y no muy agradable como normalmente es. ¿Por qué el descanso bienvenido tienen 3 dólares cafeterías estrellas deshacerse de una para un McDonald's. Pedí una hamburguesa de jamón hasta la chica por suerte me advirtió que 3 libras. 90 sólo por la estafa, así que deseo hamburguesa teníamos KFC en vez de Burger King todos los aspectos decepcionante en las autopistas. Io e le mie figlie siamo andati a fare un giro in questo centro e abbiamo voluto provare Burger King. Il ragazzo al bancone è stato gentilissimo nel consigliarci cosa prendere e sono stati ultra veloci a servirci nonostante la coda di clienti in fila. Poi il cibo super buono e freschissimo

Creo que puede haber sido mala suerte y me sirvió una 'novato' como pedimos bastante típica y luego tuvimos que esperar mientras que 5 grupos que recibieron después de nosotros pedimos sus artículos antes de nosotros mientras esperando de pie en el mostrador.

Llevamos una carga autocar por hoy y el servicio era bueno, los servidores hicieron su trabajo y educado y servicial. La comida estaba caliente, pero... Sirve las bebidas eran cálidos y plana y terminamos agrupamiento, pero no afectó nuestra crítica, porque todo lo demás era justo lo que esperábamos.

Yo tenía que comenzar temprano partida para una reunión de trabajo, así que parado aquí para el desayuno. Prefiero McDonalds pero BK era todo lo que estaba disponible. Teniendo en cuenta que era mañana, el servicio era terrible, varias personas esperando y no hay sensación...

Esta es una zona muy concurrida de servicio y un sábado a mediodía en verano intermedio, la hora nos llevó hasta la parada, comer, hacer uso de las instalaciones no fue muy inesperado. Doble whopper de BK con queso tiene que ser la mejor de...
