Hadn't been here for 3 years. The food and service were very good. The sirloin steak was excellent. Will deffo be back.

Had lunch here one Saturday and the food was very good indeed, great if you are looking for a meat feast I had the mixed grill and all plates were cleared with some effort!! Well worth a visit IMHO

This was my first visit here and I have to say it was lovely. Food was delicious and there is plenty of options on the menu. Vegans are also catered for. Staff were polite and organised. Lovely surroundings and you can see that it's been renovated to a very high standard. Prices very reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

Daughters 16th Birthday treat. She loves the chips here. Seated on arrival but never felt rushed. I treated myself to the mixed grill... yum! Cheese cake for dessert.

Very poor value for money and not honest service

Visited for a Golden Wedding Anniversary treat for my parents and it really didn't disappoint. A really lovely pub, fresh, hot, well cooked food - something for everyone and they were very obliging to tweak a small plate meal for my son. Staff very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

Great food & atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Steak was very nice & salmon salad was good, a decent sized piece of salmon on the salad. Plenty of seating inside & a nice garden area. A hidden gem would recommend.

After one hour waiting for food we politely asked if the food would be much longer. The waitress responded she wasnt in charge of the kitchen and therefore did not know.

Started out well with attentive staff and swift service but after we’d had our mains we were forgotten about! Spent about 30 minutes with dirty plates trying to make eye contact with someone but we just seemed to of been abandoned, would have stayed for more drinks, pudding and a coffee but ended up too annoyed to bother. Shame as lovely ambiance, great music and tasty food! Has Potential, staff just need some extra training x

We always enjoy the food and atmosphere here, also the staff are friendly, we just wish the staff were trained better ! On a previous visit we had to get our own condiments and they forgot parts of our order, on this occasion they gave my wife a bottle of Peroni without a glass (was she expected to slurp it from the bottle 🤣), and we had to try and get someones attention whenever we needed service as they weren’t observant. This is only small things I know, but it would make it a much better experience.

Loved the food, can definitely recommend the mega ribs they were cooked to perfection, our waitress was lovely and funny checked on us making sure we were enjoying the meal (also surviving the deadly sauce) would definitely go again, Would have liked a better selection of ciders

Lovely decor and Amazing food. Owen and the rest of the staff could not have been more accommodating even thou the venue was busy they were all welcoming and personable. Cannot wait to go back and work our way through trying all of the extensive menu!

Came here for a late valentines meal. Food was lovely. Staff were polite and attentive. Lots to choose from on the menu, will certainly be going back.

My partner and I attended as a late valentines day evening out. We were seated at 5.55pm (we had a reservation.) We waiting until almost 6.20 until we were even asked if we wanted a drink by the barman. We had a few sips of our drinks before proceeding to leave at 6.30, as waiters and waitresses were too busy having personal conversations with another table to serve anyone (they must have known them.) Even when I went up to pay for the drinks as we were leaving, I had to wait 5 minutes for them to try and work the card machine, so ended up paying cash instead. Service was terrible we were COMPLETELY ignored from the minute we sat down. Place wasn't even busy. When I say ignore, I mean I tried to flag someone down on numerous occasions, they were walking past us to deal with other tables, and even to just go over and clean up another table? Disgraceful - DONT GO HERE!

Great atmosphere and great food to go with it, have been a couple times now with a group and with the mrs and have always been good. Highly recommend

We came here for my mums 60th birthday lunch, it was a large booking of 12 - Marie had been nothing but accommodating to my booking changes. When we arrived the table was decorated, we didn't ask for this so it was such an amazing touch and a lovely thing to do. Out of the 12 of us, there were vegans, gluten frees, fussy people..you name it! The menu accommodated all of us, everyone had a fantastic meal. Service was lovely, drinks and food came promptly, a real faultless experience! Thank you

We as a family seemed to have bad luck with meals out but it seems the ploughs broken our family dining curse. Would definitely recommend

We were a booking of 12 on a Saturday afternoon (in November) and we had a great time! The food and drink were plentiful and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu is huge and so caters for everyone (including the veggies & vegans in the group). We were very happy with out visit and would definitely come again!

The food was ok, ribs were a bit tasteless but the rest was pretty good. The service on the other hand was poor. Got served initially pretty quickly and the food coming out was relatively prompt but after that, it was like we didn't exist. We waited 20 minutes after we had all finished for our plates to be taken away and then gave up. I walked out and went elsewhere for dessert. The staff continued to walk past and ignored us, I even pushed my plate to the end of the table in the hope someone would notice but they didn't. They continued to walk past empty handed. Our waitress was just standing near the bar drinking.

This is the second time we've visited and both times we've been delighted with the service and the food. Great sized portions, and the Hotdogs are absolutely huge, i couldn't finish it so took the rest home in a doggy bag! Thoroughly recommend The Plough, great atmosphere, friendly staff, top service and always clean and tidy, nice outside area to relax in as well and loads of free parking.

Found this restaurant online and was well worth the trip. Had late afternoon lunch from their extensive menu and it was just what was needed. WE all had burgers (had planned a roast) but they were all amazing and would recomend a meal here

Modern, slick operation. Table service by attentive well trained staff. Menu to suit most tastes,good quality and good value for money. Very family friendly. Probably not a venue for a quiet drink, but that's not what they're aiming for. We were a party of 8 mixed ages and needs and were very satisfied.

Telephoned at 6.10pm on a Friday evening to ask for a table for 2 at 6.30pm that evening. Polite friendly man on the telephone said they could squeeze us in. Perfect start. Arrived at 6.30pm and seated at a nice table near the bar area. Drinks order taken promptly which we love. I had a steak which was amazing and my husband had duck - also great. Only had one course and drinks but could not fault anything. Staff were very friendly and were extremely busy. There was a constant flow of diners coming in as we left. Just so pleased they fitted us in. Well Done!!!!

Food was better than fabulous and nice big portions. Millie, our hostess was an absolute joy to us and a credit to you all. An infectious smile and great sense of humour all helps to enjoy your food more. We were nearly the last to leave. Thanks Millie, looking forward to the next time.

Six of our family went to the Plough this week , four adults ,two children. Fabulous atmosphere, delicious food, amazing staff 🤩🥂🍻

I have been to the plough a few times now I can confidently say all the dishes taste great and the portion sizes are very good. It's a good place to go with groups thanks to the wife range of variety on the menu. The car park could do with being bigger however as quite often cars have to park on the road, which is a busy junction. The Sunday lunch burger is fantastic so it's worth going on a Sunday.

A friend, my daughter and I went here last night for dinner last night, the staff were fabulous and the food amazing!!! Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to come to eat again soon!!!

I have not been to a place with such top notch service that felt truly genuine. Warm welcome, our orders were taken swiftly and actually listened to our drink options remembered by the staff for easy repurchase. The menu is also massively impressive, you will definitely be spoilt for choice as we were. Just don't double up your spirit stick to singles or your bill will sky rocket.

By far the rudest staff! As a family, we regularly go for dinner at the plough and we have noticed the change of atmosphere over the course of the last few years. We planned to meet up with friends at 2.30 there but due to the rudeness of their staff, we cancelled the family meeting here and arranged to meet at a more friendly environment! Were now currently in a different pub garden with x 15 people enjoying the sun! A business is only successful due to its Team! Can see the plough sinking rapidly like its weekly customers.

Car park totally full. Eventually got parked. Service a bit slow. Food was good and loads of choice. Reasonably priced. Will be coming back.

The food was very nice even if its expensive and u do not get alot for the money. We had a very nice girl surviving us but the second girl and the boy were not very helpful or polite. They just looked annoyed with everyone.

Me and my partner have been using this bar/grill restaurant since 2019 and never had a bad meal ever always great food - tried to book table today and the staff on the phone seemed to be rushed of their feet and kept changing time while we had to call back to check with family and when we called back staff would change the time again and at the end they hang up - very very rude very very disappointed as we were looking forward to spending my birthday with family having lovely food there - what a shame no manners nor respect will have to find a new spot I didn’t want to leave this review but they actually upset me and ruined my birthday weekend so I guess like things go depends on what kind of mood you catch the staff in is the service you’ll get and this time was not a good one at all . :(

Well, I was always a massive TGIF lover. When I moved to Stansted I saw there was this restaurant nearby so thought we’d give it a go and I’ve not gone to another American diner since! The food is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are always so friendly!

Paid £15 for chicken fajitas, 4 bits of chicken with 5 small tortillas no salad or chips above all would have expected salad. Had to wait an hour for food.

I love this place. The food takes a creative twist on an American theme and is top quality. The staff are friendly, happy and helpful too. It's not a budget meal out at £85 for main, pudding and drinks for three... but you could spend that easily at a 'chain restaurant' where everything is portioned to the last gram, cooked from bulk catering packets and laced with sugar and salt to mask the lack of flavour in the ingredients. There's a difference between cost and value that is very evident here. I've never come away from the Plough either hungry or disappointed. Keep it up guys.

We had an excellent evening here last weekend, the staff were attentive and courteous. The food was very well cooked and very nice. The music level was just right and although we had an indoor table on a very warm evening, the area was well ventilated and kept a comfortable eating temperature. Overall an excellent restaurant that we will go back to again...

Eaten here many times and always happy with the amazing quality of food, however the other night when we was eating here it must have been an off day as the staff were not 100% with it. It could have just been the high volume of customers they had that evening. It won't put me off going back. More expensive than other places but definitely worth it.

We’ve just moved to the area and decided to book here for lunch. Exceptional food and excellent service from a young,clearly passionate team. We both had the garlic king prawns which were amazing. I had the chicken fajitas…just wow! and my hubby had the Ultimate Hot Dog. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. We have found our new go to place. Thank you for a lovely lunchtime 😍

Me and husband visited this restaurant for my birthday meal. We have always wanted to visit and it did not disappoint. For starters we had the nachos. My goodness they were so tasty, the guacamole was lovely and fresh. Cooked to perfect perfection. For mains I had the tomahawk pork chop. I have no words to say how amazing it was. The meat was cooked to perfection and the best thing was that the food was hot all the way through till finish. My husband had the ribs and wings. He throughly enjoyed it. For dessert we had the peanut stack - amazing! Service was on point. They couldn’t do enough for us! Coming to this place was the icing on the cake for my birthday. Cannot wait to come here again.

Been twice, steaks and ribs were perfect both times. Great selection of starters and mains. Peppercorn sauce is very nice.

Sadly, the quality of the food and the customer service was not as good as on previous visits. Possibly just an off day, but disappointing nonetheless.

Great evening there with friends, all the food was fantastic, slight error on one of the steaks, which was resolved quickly. Staff were all very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere was great, the music was great.

What a great place extensive menu so hard to decide what to order . Opted for the ribs and I cannot remember the last time I had such delicious ribs . Great presentation rustic fries onion rings sweetcorn cob salad first glass Good service and I loved the decor and rock music just my sort of place

The atmosphere and interior of the restaurant is nice and pleasant to eat in. The waiter Tom here nailed the job of accommodating me with my special needs and as I have anxiety he let us eat in the conservatory area so we can eat happily. The meat here is fresh and always well cooked and the fries are one of the best as well. Dessert menu though looks basic and very little choice which is the only thing I wasn’t as impressed by. And delivery service was ideal but was too short as it was a temporary thing but if it wasn’t temporary it’s that extra quality for local customers myself included.

We had a party of 10. The food was exceptional and James our server was very accommodating and polite. I had sirloin and it was cooked to perfection. My only grip was the desserts. I prefer warm desserts such as apple pie / crumble but they were not on the menu
