Pret a Manger in Uttlesford

Is at the airport, 4am I don't expect people to be brilliant ( you can't at this time) but I've been lucky enough to be served by the manager and I want to write here that she is a credit to the company , absolutely amazing, smiling, positive and very professional. I liked the way she interact with the staff.

Always love a good Pret! We bought some lunch just before our flight yesterday. The salad was really good, however, would not recommend tea with milk from Pret. It always tastes funny.

The children's sandwich was dry ..... Very expensive .... Did not like

The chicken salad was mainly green leaves with traces of chicken on top. I had double the amount of food for less than half the price in Costco restaurant yesterday. A scam!

Very dirty everywhere. I had to go and ask for a cloth to wipe my table, it was sticky and full of leftovers and rubbish. There was rubbish under the tables, the floor was dirty. Not very nice especially for a place that sells food. I was surprised such a big chain of food outlets. Do they not make enough money to be able to pay for a cleaner to keep the place at least a bit presentable!!? The staff don't listen they seemed very robotic/mechanic. I wanted a café latte with oat milk and they gave me a cappuccino with regular milk. I had 2 sips that send me straight to the toilet. I thought they had learned from what has happened in the last couple of years. Also, with the prices you pay you would expect a bit more as well. I would have to think very hard and carefully if I ever want to go back🤔

Salmon sandwich hardly contains any salmon. There is only a very thin strip of salmon along the edge, which from the outside gives the impression that salmon is present. In reality, it's an egg sandwich that's barely edible because the sauce oozes out the side as soon as you bite into the tough bread.

That is ice Mocha . Avoid if you can.

I think this Pret A Manger isn’t too bad it actually very good because it has the best chocolate brownies and very lovely food actually to be honest with you My dad went to Pret A Manger yesterday evening he got me a chocolate brownie to eat at Pret A Manger It was very tasty and yummy and I enjoyed it It was a lovely experience The staff that work there are very kind lovely honest This Pret A Manger gets a 5 out of 5 star rating Hope you like this review as I feel bad that your star ratings aren’t that great especially 2 stars is terrible

Good value, fresh sandwiches, delicious tea and quick service compared to the airport mess.

Absurd prices. Prices are also labelled at the membership prices, which I believe requires an expensive subscription.

Consistently sells out of vegetarian options first, leaving vegetarians with nothing to eat unless they want to try chicken or ham. It would be a simple and straightforward exercise to buy less meat products and more vegetarian because meat eaters can eat vegetarian food when the meat runs out

Matcha tasted like grass. Wasn't mixed properly and they didn't use high quality matcha. It was very rushed and am very disappointed.

Very friendly staff, served with a smile although busy. Quick service. Best treat to start the journey

ANOTHER pret that deny to make me a drink from the menu I actually pay a £30 subscription per month for. Absolute joke.

4.95£ for a latte. Every table is dirty, if you eat in, you have to pay more for what?? To sit down on a dirty table, no thanks.

I HAD THE WORST CHAI LATTE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.

We came to order coffee and food, but there was no coffee, so we got sandwiches. I asked the cashier if I could warm it up, she said no but allowed me to put it on the counter where warm food is kept for a few minutes. I left the sandwich there for a few minutes, then a café worker came and took it while arranging food on shelves. I told her it was mine and asked to give it back. She started shouting and behaving very rudely, saying I had no right to warm it up there. I calmly explained to her that the cashier allowed me to, to which she responded by shouting that it couldn't be true and she would go sort it out. It's just terrible customer service. Unfortunately, I don't know her name, I can only say she was a blonde.

Dear fellow travelers and, I strongly advise against spending any money on hot drinks at the place next to Wetherspoon’s. It’s the most awful cappuccino I’ve ever had; they must use the lowest quality coffee beans. The drinks are utterly disgusting 🤮. Shame on you, Pret!!!

I just paid £3 for old and stale croissant. When I came back and spoke to personal about it, he had attitude and made feel rather embarrassed. Customer service is shocking and food quality is even worst.

I found very delicious hot SW here which I can’t find them outside of the airport in the other prets, which is sad, the staff are very friendly and smiling !

£8.90 for a baguette! Never again

A baguette with tuna and cucumber £5.90 and really disgraceful for the quality price. The tuna sauce really tastes awful. And normally I like tuna. But this is not worth the price you are paying.

Very low quality, there was. Lady her name is Alex, she was very rude and very Garth. What a bad experience ! No coconut Milk, I will not use this shower ever again! Pret a manger should send someone to check the quality of service they give!

I used to be a real advocate for the quality and value of Pret, however this offering is an extreme example of why I will never give them another try. Absolutely disgusting prices, many items twice what they were a few years ago. There is no excuse, this is pure, absurd greedflation. Once a highstreet oasis of affordable, healthy, delicious and quick food: now it’s just another vessel for the inhumane corporate gluttony of late capitalism. For shame.

Worst coffee I've ever had. Literally. And pret is usually great.

Scruffy and dirty seating area. Coffee was very poor and expensive for what we bought. Without being asked, a cheap chocolate powder was added to the coffee froth, not at all pleasant.

Really mess with the orders. I bought wrap and inside were two 3cm long pieces and between them huge gap. That cost me with the coffee £9. NEW AGAIN!!!

Save your money, plenty of other options to drink in and takeaway if you keep walking! I was stunned to pay £9 for a baguette and packet of crisps. Even by Pret standards, this seems remarkably expensive.

Expensive for the quality of food/hot drinks - though in line with other airport establishments, sadly. The way the staff spoke to some of the customers was also disappointing.

They had a offer where you can subscribe for a month and get 5 coffee a day,very drastic marketing and will swipe costa and Leon,thank you pret and wish you great business..

After asking to clean the tabel the Service man just whiped the tabel an just ignored all the dirt aside and under the tabel.

I would like to commend one member of staff who when we were at the departures at the beginning of October misheard my request for a hot water for hot chocolate. It was crowded and very busy so I just corrected the girl making the drink and started to leave. But this young man followed me and insisted I have a refund for the hot chocolate I didn't intend to order. He went out if his way to make amends , I was very impressed.

Even though Im a Pret employee, I could not get a 50% discount at the till payment. I felt humiliated. Managers always rude like this.

Good Pret, thankful my subscription works at the airport one too. Of course it will be busy it's an airport, once you get over that it's okay :)

They forgot about my tea, asked for no milk and then they have poured milk in. Poor veggie choice and mostly sold out. Dirty

Lukewarm overpriced tea absolutely awful. Service at the till very pleasant though.

Astronomical prices and insane queues

Filthy floor, could not find a clean table despite the place not being busy. If this is what the customer area looks like I don't want to know what it is behind the scenes. Only had coffee, would not dare to order food here.

What a horror! Before my eyes while I eat at a table full of rubbish that has never been removed, my eyes go under the flight board, on my table, mountains of dust that have never been removed, perhaps since the first day they opened. Let's hope this isn't the case where they prepare meals.

Absolutely horrible. I asked for a weak latte, they gave me a regular one. I bought a cinnamon roll and I got a burnt one. Also, I got a smoked salmon roll which was ok. Absolutely a disaster. Do not visit this place.

Decent Pret. Busy but quick service and good selection of Pret Staples. Well recommended

Coffee has a burnt bitter taste, don't think their machine has had a proper clean for a while. There are much better places to get coffee at the Airport...

Your staff need to learn how to make a coffee! The milk is always extremely burnt! Ridiculous!

Coconut and quinoa porrridge. More like a cup of milk with a few oats and seeds floating around. What a rip off at 4 quid!

Please get redoo of that rude Italian girl because she’s literally out of order, the way she speak and act with costumers it’s absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. It’s the third time that I see her to this location while travelling and honestly I’m shocked; every time I try hard to do not get served by her otherwise I will argue!!!

Honestly, a cafe of a very famous brand, in an international airport, where the staff mock loudly and inapproriately italian and spanish accents, in front of queues of customers, is simply sad and out of order.
