Dominos Pizza in Uttlesford

Great Dunmow Essex: Ordered last night and it arrived cold. When cold, it ruins the entire order. It was tasteless, hardened and the extra topping I asked for wasn't applied. It was like eating cardboard, just dire. These pizzas aren't cheap. The least you could do is get the order to me in time.

Ordered at 8.30 order confirmation sent to me. Started tracking the pizza when it said it was out for delivery at about 9.00 Gave it until 10.30 then rang the shop! And was told it will be here within 10mins and it was on its way. Well it’s now 11:45pm and the shop is now shut so no answer on the phone! And guess what no pizzas still! How can they just not turn up??? Will be expecting a refund in the morning!! AWFUL

Absolutely terrible we ordered food at 17:20 we get a confirmation that it’s been delivered so I rang the shop and they said they are out of stock. The man couldn’t understand me at all and kept asking me the same questions over and over. By this point it was 18:55 and they said it’s coming it’s on it’s way and it will be with us in 10 minutes. We waited until 19:40 to ring back to ask for an update only to be told it wasn’t coming and that they have no dough !! The man on the phone didn’t have a clue. Not one apology from anyone, I was just told I’d be refunded. Not the first time this has happened and i will not be ordering from here again !

We frequently order pizza for pick up at this Domino's, it's cheaper that way, any large pizza for £9.99 means you can feed four people for a fiver each, cheaper than most other Dunmow takeaways. It has parking unlike the take aways on the high street. I've always had pizzas made to my order with toppings as requested, ready on-time (book early at busy periods), and they are tasty.

Watched the driver, Gary, from the window. He dropped the dip on the floor so that it was cracked and spilt down his leg. Then he looked up to see if anyone had seen, put the cracked dip that had been on the floor on top of our food boxes. Disgusting. When I told him I had seen what had happened he just kept shouting, "It was an accident." I don't mind accidents, dropping it was an accident but putting it on the food boxes after it had been on the floor and passing it off as if it wasn't cracked and there was nothing wrong with was definately not an accident, however the Manager did agree to a refund.

Ordered a pizza at 17:15. Waited 2 hrs called to ask where it was. Said it was on its way. Waited another HR called again only to be told by the child manager there had been a problem... Offered to send it out within 25 minutes. Waited another HR. Called again Pinocchio then said it had just left he's coming straight to you. Another HR still waiting...51/2 hrs for a pizza maybe a record. outstanding.

Pizza cold no cheese on a pepperoni and burnt, Wings cold, missing side and deserts called store to be told they are not sending our missing food but credit account next time no rectificaton for now, disgusting. just Not interested.

Having recently praised the store last year, I ordered yesterday and was very disappointed. Food was Luke warm and pizza felt like it wasn’t baked long enough. I’m usually a regular at this store but after this experience I probably won’t be.

I always go for collection and sometimes I need to wait 20 mins but usually done immediately. The food is lovely and the staff always good towards me, exept I had one non-English speaking man who I had to get to swap to understand. The main downside of this place is parking. If you are lucky you may get one of the two spaces outside but usually parking on the road taking a local's space is the norm. Was there a few days ago and the pizza was delicious as usual. Don't pay for potato wedges, go to a chip shop instead and you will save half the money. Finally, no two pizza's are the same price. Sometimes can be £9.99 for two and other times £14.95 for one large.

I made on order online for delivery. Within 15 minute it was showing out for delivery. After 5 min it showed delivered. 45 minutes later still not arrived. During this time I tried calling the restaurant which I had no answer from for a good 20 minutes. Eventually when I received my food, it was warm ish, almost cold. Not the 1st time it's been late. What done it for me is that it was cold and doughy, not very edible so I shall not be returning back there again

Where to start? Orders for delivery, took 45 minutes to deliver 2 minutes up the road. Pizzas were cold, the half and half pizzas were disproportionate. It took ringing up and asking where is our food before someone said there was a ‘delay’. The delivery driver was lazy as f*ck, didn’t even attempt to exit the car just rang us and said he’s outside. Was a one off because we had lots of people round used the spend over £30 get 50% off. All in all a bad experience and won’t bother again.

Have had lots of pizzas and usually happy. Very poor quality tonight though. 10 minutes early and already cold somehow. Rang to complain and got offered a drink token which was quite insulting as all I really expected was an apology or explanation. Will not rush back after this experience, although I am a pizza fiend ! Haha

Such a shame but this place just can’t take an order and deliver it without an issue. Recently you place an order via the App and nothing happens so you phone and find out it will be 2 hours. I’ve complained and they give you a free order. Today it flowed through quickly but showed “delivery” for 25 minutes and I knew it would be cold. It turned up and yes, it was Luke warm. I’ve complained again and told them I don’t want a credit or anything from them as I now give up. I wouldn’t order again if they gave me a years free pizza. There are other options in Dunmow which deliver hot pizzas so I’ll stick with them.

Always ordered online and haven’t had any issues. Pizza is always hot Delivered on time and the big Asian chap is always friendly when he delivers.

So I love some of their pizza’s and I haven’t ordered from anywhere else in Dunmow since they opened up. However it would seem that there is now an issue. Have they got too big and can’t deal with the demand or have their standards dropped off? Either way, the delivery service is now really bad. Having done my order via the App and waited 30 mins for it to be acknowledged, I rang up and I was told it could be at least 2 hours! That’s just shocking. My last experience was terrible as well which lead me to complain. Therefore my last 3 experiences have been 2 very bad and 1 where I phoned up with a freebie voucher (they were very good). We may be at the point where if head office give you a voucher for bad service, they will deliver the right items and on time. If you don’t then they won’t tell you you’ll need to wait over 2 hours and then fingers crossed it is right. There are some other options but it needs to be a collection. Such a shame.

Yes last night was a busy Saturday evening with a full compliment of staff, all working hard but a walk in order and waiting and hour. Only to find it had been left on the shelf. We ordered and were told 20 minutes, the two black shirted supervisors were working, one making the bases and the other boxing the newly cooked food. She checked our order at around the 20 minute mark but it wasn’t chased up and by the time it was made, boxed and awaiting us we had obviously been forgotten about, left on the shelf. Having waited patiently we asked and got 2 warm pizzas that were near cold by the time we got them home (5 mins). Everyone was waiting but I don’t expect to pay good money for warm food. A few good diligent workers carry this place but don’t let food get cold when you have the customer in the place. I will be contacting the manager this week. Especially seeing as I saw one fella get a full refund on his order as they had forgotten it while I was there.

Great friendly service. Staff were helpful and informed us that our pizza wasn't quite ready. Food was piping hot and delcious.

You know what you're going to get and you always get it. Prompt updates on the webpage and delivered on time and more importantly it's always correct. My experience is that it is always correct and prompt as well as hot and delicious. The deals aren't as good as they used to be and the menu doesn't change much which means I don't order from them that often is the only criticism.

Fantástico, pizzas recoger o han entregado, algunas buenas ofertas en línea también. Siempre tengo el pollo barbacoa TEXAS y mi esposo tiene el poderoso carne, tanto en la base italiana, así que no hay mucha masa. Comida de muy buena calidad. También se puede recomendar el pan de ajo y kickers de pollo.

Quick, but not that cheap for what you get. A bit rubbery and not always consistent some days it's 5stars some days it's one. Cookies always amazing

Fui a recoger nuestra comida con la familia, la comida no estaba lista, y cuando llegamos a casa, nos pareció que estaba fría, el personal no sabía lo que estaba pasando y realmente no estoy convencido el personal estaban muy limpias o higiénicas. Its pizza, theres not really more to add. Living 100m away and the guys nor ally walk to deliver piping hot food 20min later is always good. You get what it says on the tin

Yo uso este para llevar como su en mi puerta, no de elección. En el año hemos estado utilizando la mayoría de las veces la comida está bien o mal, la mejor comida que he tenido fue la semana pasada. La pizza era caliente y cada pedazo tenía algunos topping. Guau.

Like most people a dominos is a must have grub if you are starving hungry , normally pick up so at times a long wait , nothing wrong with the pizza etc but find it expensive you end up searching through deals to get a bargain and you end up with way too much food and spend way too much money !! I would rather the price is lowered all round it would make it a lot easier !!

The pizza is some of the best I've ever had and there is something there for everyone. It is really easy to order online, go in or call and it is perfect for people of any age group

In general the pizza's are pricey if not brought on a deal. The lunch time pizza for a £1 was great for the kiddies. Its great that you can see the bases made and pizza being prepared.

I like the quality and taste of their pizza but sometimes the price is a bit on the expensive side. I keep an eye out for special offers:-)

Wrong order delivered, food was cold and poor management judgement , very very disappointed, wouldn't recommend this food place

Ordered pizza at 6.40pm after a painful phone call with a girl who didn't seem to know what she was doing, she said delivery would be 20-30 minutes, 7.30pm 50 minutes after ordering still no pizza! We called and the same girl said the order was not on the system but our money had been taken! By this time we were frustrated and extremely hungry. The girl had to take the order again but referred to her manager 4 times and we were on the phone for over 10 minutes again, we were not given a refund but a free tub of Ben and Jerry's which, wait for it... Didn't turn up when our order finally arrived at 8.10pm!! We then waited another 20 minutes for our Ben and Jerry's! Diabolical service and 100% will not be ordering again! Sticking to Papa Johns in future!!!

We always have our Dominoes delivered. Sometimes it's amazing; other times it's cold and appears as if it was cooked earlier in the day. We've stopped ordering sides as they have definitely been cooked earlier and do not taste good.

Ordered two pizzas when opening box found they had slipped in box and toppings were failing off. So contacted store to give feedback but the manger was always busy so was asked to phone back by that time they had gone home. It was a day later when contact was made. Not the standard of service we expect from Domino'sPizzas taste bland and toppings are very sparingly used for the high prices charged. Deals are confusing and you need to play the menu to avoid the extra toppingsCharge.

Waited an hour and 10 minutes for delivery. Food arrived lukewarm, with toppings missing from the pizza, which was a half and half pizza with only two slices of one of our choices. Chicken side was frozen in the middle. Very disappointed with the service and food received. We understand that it is an affordable delivery service, but this was very much below an acceptable standard and people are entitled to expect better.

Absolutely excellent phone manner. Very quick delivery (still piping hot).Pleasant driver ( who was tipped ). All in all very hard to complain about. Delicious.

Have ordered several times as it is easy and convenient. Delivery staff are always really friendly and the pizzas arrive within 30 mins.Yes the food is not going to win any fine dining awards but for convenience and price you can't beat it.

This is a great place. We are so lucky to have a Dominos store in Dunmow. Bit suspicious of some of the reviews on here which seem a bit random! We ordered on the app, Texas BBQ and a Veggie pizza. Both were really good, hot and delivered really quickly on a saturday night. Our house is not easy to find, but the driver came without any trouble and was very polite and didn't seem to mind me being in my pyjamas! This place is a great addition to Dunmow and we use it all the time.

First experience of Dominos was a big disappointment. I found ordering extremely difficult because of their poorly laid-out menu. I stood inside to await my order and was fascinated by the production process. I qualified for the free upgrade to large size, but the meal was pretty insubstantial, textureless and tasteless. Certainly not pizza! Should have bought from Tesco, at half the price, and cooked it in half the time

like the review says everything you would expect from Dominos Pizza.... main reason for the review is to highlight that it would be great if you could broaden the delivery area? Thaxted? ;-D it's really not that far and we all tip well!

I order a few times a month and last night I order x2 pizza which one was pepperoni and the other was veg-a Roma <- in this pizza it doesn't state galapinos which was on my pizza, I honestly cannot believe you would put that on the pizza I could have been elegiac and you go and do that. It's ridiculous I'm pretty sure you have a bunch of idiots working for you and cannot read or don't have a bloody clue. But thank you for burning my mouth to pieces then put me off my pizza so that was a waste of money at your stupid place. Also the pepperoni pizza looked like it had been chucked all over the floor how you can put a lovely picture on your website of your food and it arrives at the door looking like utter crap I wouldn't have fed it to my dog. Your going down hill and think your dominos is aload of crap and I'm fed up of it spending £30 odd pound a time to get the most shitest pizza in front of me and no toppings isn't the word your so tight for how much you charge for a poxy pizza and what you receive is a joke. I have uploaded a picture of the pizza so enjoy. Seriously sort it out because you will loose another customer and the reviews on this website the majority of them are bad reviews than good. Isn't that telling you something sort it out you rubbish business.

I know Dominos is a famous chain brand of food, but the local one in Dunmow is extra nice. Being local, I get Dominos from here quite a bit, and each time the food is prepared to over the finest quality the staff can make it as.If you get delivery, it's quick, choose your time, comes hot, and is amazing!If you eat in, it's quick, there's chairs, comes very hot, and is amazing!The staff are friendly, helpful, and take your rubbish as there is not a bin.It is an amazing place, the best chain pizza I've ever had!It is well worth a visit or an order.

This is quite simply an awful Dominos, not up to the standards of the brand in any way. Rude, incompetent staff, cold pizzas with barely any topping, shop itself seems to be unmanaged, food dropped all over the floor. An absolute disgrace, am surprised Dominos head office have not yet stepped in.

Little boys throwing pizza outside. Grubby staff that didn't need a job and the noise/small to the locals in a most unsuitable residential position must be life changing.

They won't deliver to Thaxted even though we are closer than Takeley. We always get hot chicken wings when we ask for plain and you can count the individual toppings, they don't overload it !!

We have used Dominoes a couple of times and have to say we won't be using it again. Last week I ordered a pizza and a couple of sides, mid week so wouldn't have been exceptionally busy. I waited for 50 minutes for my food to arrive. I called Dominoes after 30 minutes and was told that basically it would arrive when it arrived as they don't specify a delivery time. When it did arrive it was barely warm. Prior to this our previous order arrived with half of it missing so they had to send out another driver with the rest of our food. All in all a shocking service with even worse customer service and management. We certainly won't be using you again.!!!

I'm very disappointed as I use dominos a lot of the time. i order the big pick a mix for dilevery when they turned up they couldn't take £50 note baring in mind that isn't stated on their website or their app. Then having to follow them back to the store to be told they don't take £50 in store either, so we had to travel further to get it changed up, which we went back to collect it. When getting home our food was cold our drinks wasn't even cold, also there wasn't hardly any toppings on it. I'm very disappointed due to the fact we have dominos at least a few times a month. In future state that you don't take £50 notes on your website even if it is stated it is small print which no one reads. Not at all happy with the service last night, not sure if I'll be coming back here.

ordered winter deal for delivery - delivered nice and fast but after driver had gone we noticed no garlic bread. called to advise and they said they would run one out straight away. We enjoyed the pizza, finished the doughnuts and still no garlic bread. Called store to say don't bother and surly telephone male just said ok and hung up. Not impressed. Sent email to store manager just to advise him of bad service. They sent us a voucher for our garlic bread with our next order - voucher only valid for a month - was it worth it - we had paid for it already so why an expiry date. Far from impressed - stick to Bosphorus - their pizza always deliver ok, tastes good and less than half the price of Dominoes.

Recently ordered two of the winter survival deals and when we collected and got home we were missing the garlic breads in the deal. When questioned over the phone we were told it would take 30 mins to deliver, then when we stated the rest of order would be stone cold they said they would include them for free (not realising they already were!!!) Iam suprised that the manager did not jump in his car and deliver himself as we are only 5mins up the road. so we went to sort it out in person we managed to come to an agreement to cover the extra trip back to the store. This store needs to makesure that when they offer deals customers recieve all the items in the deal.
