The best restaurants serving Default food in Thurrock East of England

A van was stolen from the parking and smashed our car. Now we have a £1200 to pay because the hotel is not liable for their unsafe parking… the parking needs security or a gate to prevent this. Very risky to leave your car there…

Food is always good been eating from here for years

Almondo, our waiter was absolutely amazing with our little toddler, kept her entertained and engaged. Very thoughtful and helped her with her drawing. Too service from a really friendly person. Made the meal even better

Stayed here for one night room was clean but strong smell of damp...and £7 to park !!!

Food was bit old as chicken was bit hard resulted from being left in the hot dispenser for too long.

Didn’t feel very welcoming, steak was well done when requested medium, scampi came with no tar tar sauce, no napkins, would I recommend this pub, no would I go back no.

I went to the m&s cafe in lakeside and felt like I was in a builders cafe as no saucer with your cup and given a stick to stir my tea, no communication as you just do your own ordering and then just sit down. I won’t be going there again as I really thought m&s were better than this very disappointed.

It is located on A13 westbound, just before A128 exit. Well stocked, convenient, and friendly service

Food is mediocre on a good day, chefs are incompetent. Like genuinely, I’m not exaggerating; I ordered 6 wings & chips. They cooked 4, asked me to wait for the rest (which I did), then they gave me chicken strips. The girls at the till were very polite and apologetic, I feel bad for them. But chefs need to step up. It’s not hard to count chicken wings.

This is a local restaurant to me and one that I had never tried before. Booked a table and for mid week quite busy. Had the set menu with a nice large glass of vino Food very tasty though the waitress could have done with some help!!!

Wednesday nite - well done to Zaals ! Superb meal topped off with the best ever dessert...... not on the menu but when i handed our great waiter a personalised banana with a request fritter ak( please please) could i have some fritters, the chef sent back a plate of stunning fritters Oh.My.Goodness they were soooo good !! thank you so much for all the cooking to achieve a memorable meal,

My friend and I used to eat there many moons ago at the restaurant but nowadays we always get a takeaway via Just Eat. Never had a bad meal. I always have the standard tandoori mixed grill but saw that the Panahar special tandoori mixed grill had prawns in it. There was definitely a lack of them and only found one empty shell and the whole dish was overly smothered in onions.. However, won't stop me ordering food again from the restaurant just not this particular dish as it was more expensive than the regular one and not what I had hoped for the extra price..

After many years of going to lakeside we decided to stop and have a coffee here. We was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the prices were and we was allowed to sit and chat for as long as we liked. Friendly staff and nice bright place to rest inbetween shops! Will be our new spot!
