Well this is the best fish and chips by far...the fish batter is very light...portion size is good...chips r lovely (not hard and bad)like others,you pay for what you get 5 star keep it up...just wish they sell thin chips to go with kebabs and bugers

Staff were very quick and polite and quick with my order will definitely go there again and there fish and chips was excellent

After reading reviews was really worried and watching the man behind the counter bbq the kebabs who looked like he didn’t have a clue the bread wasn’t great more like a bloomer from the bakers than pitta bread but got to admit chicken was moist tasty salad was fresh so over all very nice

Best advice, try some other place. Lamb Shish tough and charred Doner cold, Not Pitta Bread, Salad was fine.

Not sure what has happened recently but the fish and chips I got tonight tasted stale chips looked and tasted a week old …. Very disappointing. Is it under new management?

This place has been a staple of the estate for my lifetime, and upon returning for Christmas we decided kebabs and burgers were in order. I had the double quarter pounder which was delicious and was given way too many chips for a small portion. My partners chicken kebab was cold, dry and severely unappetizing. Unfortunately 80% of the kebab was thrown away, but can’t fault the service and the atmosphere

No salad or sauce delivered with kebabs, waited half an hour, had to return cold meat for a refund, attitude and service poor, sad as have used in the past and it’s been great

Lying incompetent rude staff and food tastes like it's been through a quick wash cycle then tumble dried. After waiting an hour and a half for a delivery which I was told would take 20 minutes , I called an hour later to be told its on its way Then to be told they thought it was a collection order even after taking our address. Some people would be dangerous if they had a brain .

Had the Mixed kebab = Lamb shish, kofte and doner. The lamb shish was revolting - not ONE piece of lamb was edible - chewy, with grissle (the worst cut of lamb i have ever had). The kofte was cremated - i snapped two plastic forks trying to pick it up. The doner was okay, but why do you serve it like spagheti - long strips . . . Not ideal when using only a plastic fork. For anyone who likes their chilli sauce, this was far from it - more a lumpy tomato pasata. The only thing enjoyable, was the pitta breads, but overall, a total waste of £15.

Just thrown my chips in the bin awful, if they aren’t dried out they are over greasy, won’t be buying from here again Oh my cod and Munch king far superior chip shops, feel sorry for the locals mostly school kids I would take them back but not gonna waste petrol, lesson learnt.

I'm probably butchering the spelling , but they do a Turkish bread lahmachon here which they use for a wrap and it's delicious . I just have salad and chilli sauce in it but you can obviously have doner meat or chicken as well . Try it ! The usual fish and chips , chicken ,pies etc are the best in grays as well

Usually the food is spot on but tonight I ordered via just eat . The food was awful, the chips, kebab and bread was over cooked and burnt. The chicken donner was disgusting 🤢 waste of money £30.00

Got a donner yesterday and I thought the guy didn't put the pitta bread on to heat it... And when I got it home he didn't and the bread and the meat were both cold... Was not good at all

If you want to wait an hour for cold food which is missing half your order it's the place to go! Everytime I order from them there's something missing. Absolutely had enough of this place and won't ever order from them again.... I'm sitting here again waiting for the rest of my order when they delivered the first half 30 minutes ago and its cold.

Wouldn't let me order what I normally have kids meal with salad instead of chips for some reason!!! Been ordering it for months but now won't do! Different girl then normal, found her quite rude.....

Had Chicken and Chips delivered from Mr Pickwicks last week for the first time on recommendation. Ordered over the phone, quick and easy. Order took a little longer than expected to arrive but worth the wait. Chicken was cooked perfectly and chips were great too. Delivery guy pleasant (sorry we didn’t have extra for a tip, next time) Will order again for sure

The chips were absolutely disgusting and tasted like fish the lady that works there was very rude to me as I ordered and I didn’t get a refund for this terrible experience. Also, chips are so expensive for the portion that you get, definitely would not reccomend to any locals in the area.

The chips were really nice last night I have not been here for many months and they were different from the ones I had in past ..plus nice staff.very well staffed shop. Fast and friendly.! .

Nice portion sizes, prices nothing to complain about, amazing food textures but kinda bland flavours, if the chicken had a little more spices I’d prefer over kfc though it’s a hit or miss, sometimes dry and sometimes greasier than my uncle

Been sat waiting over 30 minutes for dry unsalted and zero vintage, 6 hot wings that are nothing to shout about, and 4 chicken strips thats again aren't amazing for over 30 minutes of waiting shocking service in my opinion won't be back again!

I order fish bites chips and large donor At 1730 they arrived at 1845 it was like warm contact them they offered to re do the fish bites

Good customer service evrey time during busy times I get it when my food is late but they still hot and warm very nice chips to I recommend

If -5* was an option this place would get it. Ordered a takeaway, which was due to arrive for just after 6pm. Called them about 4 or 5 times as it was late, and I got told the drivers just left, okay, 20 minutes go by, apparently the drivers going to ve 15 minutes, then the drivers going to be 10 minutes (this was 15 to 20 minutes later after the last call) it was just excuse after excuse and it got to a point where someone said to me down the phone that she didn't want the food, I'm sorry since when has a female ever been called Geoff? Eventually got to us about an hour and 20 minutes later than when it was due to arrive. Food was nice but it was no where near worth the 2 hour wait for it (including prepping time etc) Absolute of a shambles with out order where other takeaways were sympathising. Wont be re ordering from this place I don't think.

Disappointed tonight. Got home in 4 mins and meal was cold. Cornish pasty was not cooked enough. Waste of time standing outside in freezing conditions.

It was a cold ,foggy night on a crisp Tuesday morning I enter the Sir Pickwick residence and ask for a cod and chips and right then and there Katie fishes the fish in front of me and grows potatoes from the ground and makes the dish in minutes. i trip and graze my knee and Katie preforms surgery on the counter and amputates my ankle and put it in a takeout box she even asked if i wanted salt and vinegar. I then saw her steal from the charity box and throw the pennies at stray cats and stole joes shoes. 5 stars, amazing experience, better than Butlins.

Had a large doner kebab the meat if you can call it that was all hard and grisly, ended up throwing it away, better off going to stallions where they know how to make a a decent kebab and it's cheaper, I would have given no stars if I could.

Extremely slow service chips to crisp however the quality of the rest was was all very good.

Just ordered and after the young lady telling the cooker the correct order still the wrong was served, always been there and never had a problem very bad customer service when l called they said they were sorry and know they gave us the wrong order x

I had the best fish n chips by far in this shop, I always check the hygiene raring before I eat from any shop and i was amazed the fact they have 5* and good quality food. Definitely will be coming back and recommend it!

It's a shame, I have been going to this chip shop for years but just lately I have become really disappointed. I went in last night and ordered a large chips and they gave me a small chips instead and the chips were old and soggy. Made me Really cross, I think it is under new management won't be going back which is a shame as is the most local. But just get ripped off there.

Love this chip shop always friendly staff but sometimes very busy, the only issue is parking on Crammavil street which can be a hassle at times... The food is always top notch not greasy or over oily.... It's a nice little local chip shop
