TGI Fridays - Lakeside Retail Park in Thurrock

We have been to several other TGIs and nothing as bad as this one. Food is generally dreadful just pushed from the microwave to the plate to the customer. The short order stuff like burgers just junk. Ingredient quality very low and zero cares given. For a meal, drink and desert cost is about £35 per head and you get nothing for this. Most TGIs closing due to poor footfall, this one won't be far behind..

I attended Lakeside TGI Friday's yesterday and was served by the lovely Ann Marie. She was warm and caring and I could not fault her service. Thank you.

Fantastic food, service great atmosphere always a pleasure to dine at lakeside. Katie our server was super, very attentive nothing was to much trouble, refills of our drinks and our children taken good care of with balloons.Food wad all delicious and hot. See you again very soon.

Food was underwhelming. Felt like I got catfished by the picture of the chicken burger I ordered. The burger might aswell have been a kids size. £20 for a kids size burger which had bacon what was rock solid and crumbly? After speaking to manager he was absolutely useless and did not remove meal from receipt. Not recommended restaurant.

The price does not mach to the quality - the level of service of the waiters is 0, and the quality of the food has gone down a lot. When we started go to this restaurant everything was fine - good service and delicious food. We went yesterday to have dinner with family and our experience was very bad- first we was seated to dirty table, we got not clean highchair, we are waiting ages for our waitress, in the end my hussband found one waitress and asked to take our order. drinks came with ice - we asked without ice, we shared big starter - waitress didn't give side plates so we need take them ourself because to ask waitress is taking long time, our burgers was half burned.

Always the best experience when coming to eat here, service was amazing and so is the food, no complaints at all especially having shay serving us we come back everytime !!!

Wow this place is a absolute dump. Me and my family of 4 ate in this place Sunday. We was seated fairly fast but had to go find the staff and basically beg to take our orders. The food eventually arrived after a long wait only to find hobbit size portions and Luke warm food, wasn’t worth complaining as none of the staff looked bothered. Then the best bit….the BILL!!!!!! Wow £150 for 4 burgers and a portion of fries that looked like they was shared between all 4 of us and a few drinks…soft drinks at that!!! £4.30 for a can of Dr Pepper wow!!!!! This place needs shutting down. Absolute disgrace!!!! Needless to say I won’t be getting robbed and eat here again!!

I thought I'd try it one last time for nostalgia before they're gone forever. I expected the worst. I really don't understand why they're not more popular. Maybe this is just a good location. The food was really good

I was in this morning (Tuesday) and the waitress, Ann, was absolutely incredible! Made the whole experience amazing. The cake is beautiful!!

Lovely meal with great service. They don't have decaf coffee and as I can't have caffeine the waitress made us some with ours.

I was eating out with my friends and struggling what to pick to eat and fortunately our server Jacob was extremely helpful in deciding what we got to eat and overall was very attentive to our need and provided and excellent service and let us have a good experience with otherwise distasteful food.

Had a lovely time out, Jacob served us and was very kind to talk to making sure we had everything we needed.

Very good service, staff are brilliant, soecially Jacob who made my daughter’s birthday meal very special.

Tried before and I was happy with it, atmosphere was really nice and the food was really gooood. Tried now and I was surpised on the prices. Since I was here the prices went up quite a bit. We had to wait 20 min until we were seated, even if they had empty tables for us.

Claire was my waitress, she was brilliant needs a raise. She was funny, fast at her job and even was a delight would love to be served by her again!! Definitely ask for her if you pop in she will put a smile on your face.

Very attentive staff and great experience

Being an individual with autism I can get overwhelmed when something in my food has changed and it isn’t what it tastes like I can get quite upset. Anne our server was amazing, helped me change my food and calmed me down because I get anxious asking for a replacement. She made me feel heard and made sure my experience was as equal as any other customer. She deserves a pay rise

Overly priced food! I’m from America and nothing in this restaurant is comparable. Food portions small. Quality is ok but nothing special.

Not a good experience not enough staff due to poor management waited ages for order to arrive then it was wrong again waited ages for corrected order not only us table next to us their order was mucked up too , food very overpriced for basically something I could have knocked up at home don't think I'd hurry back anytime soon

I had the salad which had an enormous amount of lettuce, which was not needed and distracted the taste of the rest of the salad. There was not much avocados or bacon. I did speak to the manager. Everyone else enjoyed there food.

Visited Lakeside TGIF with 2 kids and 2 adults for a play date which was amazing. We’d love to give a big shout to Rosalyn for the exceptional service she rendered! Yesterday I came into TGI’s with a rather large party. We were greeted at the door and invited to the bar for drinks before going to our table. Our bartender was a loveley young man who greeted us with a smile and really made us feel welcome. He proceeded to help us pick out drinks as-well as give recommendations which was really nice and tasted amazing.

Despite having only a few tables in use on arrival it took the guy several minutes to acknowledge our presence and the another wait to be seated. Haven't used TGI since before lockdown and won't be going back. Menu seemed expensive, better value at pubs/ restaurants. Add the slow service (acknowledged by waiter) and parents not interested in looking after children and resulting in a noisy environment, we exited early and won't be back. It used to be an event for special occasions but has lost its appeal....

Our waiter Arshad was very accommodating and respectful. Food was also very lovely. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The lovely Ann Marie served us this lunch time, very warm and welcoming! Food was also 10/10 as always - highly recommend!

Family went there for my wife's 60th birthday, absolutely discussed with the starter portion size, potato skins looked like a potato cut in half then in half again, I felt embarrassed to cut it to eat it, ive seen bigger chips and as for the chilli prawns 4 of them and some dip for £9 absolute rip off. The sesame chicken as a main £22 you get no salad lettuce just chips sauce and some grated carrot enough to go with a chip or two very poor value won't be going there in a hurry. £257 FOR 5 and we never had dessert.

Food was not hot , loaded with sugar. It tasted very cheap.

Great place to hang out with family and friends. Delicious New York steak.

Great Place Especially for American Bike Enthusiasts. There is a nice Harley-Davidson at the entrance.. Food is Great, Great Music & Atmosphere. I come here quite often on my Harley. Love Sitting Outside Where is Quieter.

Popped in for a meal with the family, what a mistake. Got taken to our seats then left for 15 mins with not one staff member ever coming back, asked twice if we could order some drinks to be told we are really Busy. Once staff did take order then stage two come about my meal was £23 for chips and Burger meal which was served on the smallest plate and not very nice. Services and staff wasn’t great would never visit TGI Fridays again. Burger King or McDonald’s would have been better.

After a busy day we went to TGI friday to have a dinner we had a lovely meal and an excellent service by Jacob S he and all the staff worked really hard see you again soon

Poor, poor hygiene however service staff tried their best. Food was mid and decor falling apart

Only 2 people serving so service was slow, they were very apologetic, so not their fault, just a little frustrating when you want to order another drink/get the bill. My burger was over cooked/burnt so that was a bit disappointing.

It was noisy and loud so we sat outside which was sunny and quiet. We ordered the Ultimate Grill with the steak "medium". However all of the food was overcooked and dry. The pork chop was the only juicy one which was much chunkier so retained some moisture. Rather disappointing.

The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and made my mother in laws birthday fun and we had a great laugh! She had a balloon hat at the table waiting for her when we walked in and a bunch of balloons for us to all get involved and make a balloon dog! Was great laugh and staff were super friendly! X

Food is fairly good, but my goodness the service is poor ! Took about 15 mins to sit us down even though we had a reservation and then about an hour and 20 mins to receive our food !! Never again! They’re either severely understaffed or slow/lazy.

Exceptional service from our server. Not pushy in getting us to order, but attentative enough to e sure we had all we needed - even returning (without asking) with top up drinks. Food was excellent, always never enough wraps for the fajitas 😁 Will definately re-visit.

The famous TGI Friday ribs were were excellent and impressive with excellent presentation. This was the standard for all the meal choices presented at our table (4 people). The staff right across the board were brilliant, and whilst the restaurant was incredibly busy, they went above and beyond to make everyones visit special. Also judging by the genuinely impressed looks on the faces of people at the tables the food tasted as amazing as ours. Excellent staff, excellent service, excellent food!

Your website for ordering is absolutely rubbish, couldn't order click and collect, even I have done it before, appalling service!

Well what can I say - Absolutely terrible! The menu is very small since the last time we went there. They have no chicken fajita’s. This place has really gone down hill! Well we just cancelled the order and walked out to find something else to eat! Won’t be going back again.

Always love going to Fridays. Legendary Ribs are amazing, have then everytime, and finish it off with a chocolate cake.

Not sure where to start. Came to lakeside with a friend to visit home decor stores and had to stop for lunch. Order done and it took more than 40 minutes to arrive - a simple chicken breast with a salad. One of the dishes didn’t arrive, we asked about it 2 times. + 30 minutes later, the waiter (which was never around the isles for us to order more things such as drinks or a simple salad dressing) informed us he forgot to order it and would take more time to arrive. So… not really pleasant if you are in Lakeside for shopping reasons. 2h in a restaurant? Interesting fact - the restaurant was far from being busy. Not good for Fridays reputation also.

Food took a bit long to arrive but the service was amazing. We were served by Jacob who is once again, top notch.
