TGI Fridays - Lakeside Retail Park in Thurrock

Had a fab night today with the family celebrating 3 birthdays food was great service was even better, Ann Marie is a credit to your store she is friendly and helpful and most of all know how to make you enjoy your self while dining...... I'm sure we will be back to sit in Ka@#n's corner 😁

Khan was our waiter and he was very upbeat and helpful!

We haven’t get the complete order again. Actually we got only half of our order…

I don't know if it was a one off night or if they had minimal staff but we waited at least 10mins to be seen to be told we will seat you shortly, I know 10mins isn't long but when your just waiting it seemed a long time, once we was seated it took a long time for our order to be taken, but we wasn't given the set menu, the waitress went away and eventually came back with the set menu, she then went away without taking our drinks order, when she did it had been about 50mins since we arrived, we then waited about 15mins for the startes to arrive but without mine to be fair once my starter did arrive it was nice as was my main, we asked for the bill which came up pretty quick but wrong, we eat from the set menu but priced individually which was £10 too much, from arriving at 17.50 we left around 20.10

Food was lovely. Unfortunately it's not what it used to be. There is not enough staff to look after the tables and the bar. The staff are great. Doing what they can to help. Just under staffed. Shame!!!

I have tried contacting TGI on all platforms and had no luck in a response! My trip here with my partner was awful experience Food was like cardboard and stone cold. I asked someone could they come over to sort this and Waited a further 5/10 minutes for someone to come over and correct this. Half an hour later we had our food again was warm ish. Our cocktails was pure water. I made a complaint on the evening and all I got told was “I’m sorry” tried contacting the get in touch page … No response. We fine at TGI’s a lot and this time was awful customer service what customer service!!!! Highly recommend staying away.

We have eaten many times at this particular TGI'S and the food is always nice and the staff are always friendly however on this visit it was quite cold in the restaurant because the heating was not working and we did have to wait a long time for our food which was disappointing.

Had a great time, service from Harry was amazing, Ultimate Grill was banging. Recommend.

Came out at the weekend with my son who has quite a serious allergy, but the manager Jamie made us feel very comfortable and safe that he was in good hands. Food came quick and was all lovely. Will definitely be returning to this Restaurant 😊

The food was superb and our waitress Lisa Marie was such a pleasure. Very smiley and helpful, had a lovely night and will 100% come back as the service was top tier.

Will never go to TGI again, over priced, no stock, unacceptably slow.

Staff was polite but restraunt really cold and portable oil heaters not turned on opted to leave and not buy any food. 30.00 for ribs they can turn the heating on

Not someone who normally comes on here to leave a review but would like to say Roz, Anne and Jemma are very accommodating! We come here on a regular just too see them! Never a doll moment with them here

Lunch time:- Was served orange juice that had gone off (fermenting and darker coloured). Must have been festering for a long time to get to that stage. Didn't want a stomach ache, so was duly sent back, and replaced with one which tasted completely different. Food didn't taste fresh either; like re-heated pre-cooked chicken and slaw that was pickled. Thought we were going to be served fresh slaw, not pickled, and so, in view of the above mentioned, didn't risk eating. Suffice to say, we won't be back.

Really enjoy the food here. And Claire makes all the difference with a great service and great smile!

The food was decent, although I feel the menu has been downgraded in recent years. Not as varying as before, but still a nice meal. The boneless wings especially are my favourite. We were served by Charlotte, who was very helpful and attentive. She checked in with us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, and any orders we made were brought out in good time.

Our server Ann Marie went above and beyond for us nothing was too much and made our experience ,will definitley be back

Visited on Saturday 25th, our server was super friendly (thank you Khan), the place was clean and had a relatively relaxed atmosphere. The food was very good though a little pricey, but not complaining. All tasty, we all left full and satisfied.

Our server Zoe was fantastic. She ensured we were looked after from the start of our meal the very end. Always friendly and speedy service, whilst managing many tables on a Friday Night. I have been before to TGI Fridays and been so dissatisfied. Zoe made this visit a fantastic experience though and turned our opinion from previous visits completely around. Keep up the hard work!!

Was in the restaurant for 2 hours with only receiving the children’s meals and hour after arriving as we got them out as starters due to them being hungry. All you get told by the servers is they are really busy.. but maybe staffing level doesn’t accommodate the customer bookings so needs to be looked in to. The portions are small for what you pay, don’t think il be returning! Very stressful birthday meal with very unsettled hungry children

Khan was are waiter for the evening for my son’s 16 birthday. We was a table of 13 with a mix of ages. He was so lovely, polite, and helpful. Thank you for a great evening!

Attended today for a meal out as a couple. Reserved a table online and used a Wowcher offer. Service and food was quick but not rushed, fab portion sizes and tasted the usual TGI deliciousness! Our waitress was Claire and she was so helpful and knew the menu inside out! Definitely made our visit more enjoyable, thanks so much

This place has got to be the worst place I've ever had the experience of visiting, staff unhelpful, rude, miserable and absent, no management in sight, waited an age for drinks and food when the place was empty and now can see why 👎🏼 Word of advice do not eat out here !!!!!

I did not receive my food and they should have asked for a code so where has my food gone that I’ve payed £52 for and now I can’t eat because I have no money and I now have to wait for it to go in my account

Loads of dirty tables when we walked in. Place is looking old. Ordered a New York steak for £28 and it was terrible and over cooked. Will not be coming here again. Over priced, and all in all pretty crappy.

Fantastic place to eat . Amazing food and amazing staff. Really enjoy eating here and now the themed events are on will be coming more!!! Came today with grand daughters for heroes and villains theme and the girls loved it and dressed up too!!! Staff also asked them for more ideas for other events from the girls so will be eating here a lot more when the next event takes place!!!!!! Staff are very attentive, fun and very engaging with us and this added to our wonderful visit…than you so so much! Great team, fantastic food 10/10

Very great experience on Christmas Eve

Lynsey was a fabulous server! We dropped in for a quick bite after some Christmas shopping and everyone was SO delightful! The starters were great and I love that they have a Christmas menu like in traditional English pubs (just TGI Friday style). Lynsey was super attentive and helpful. I asked for some advice and she readily helped, which ensured I enjoyed my meal even more! Very good experience. Thanks to all the staff, especially Lynsey!!

Haven't been to TGI in years and it was a real pleasure. Lynsey was lovely and there wasn't a moment out glass wasn't filled. Food was great and we will be returning in the future

First time trying out TGI Friday’s and didn’t disappoint! The restaurant serves a wide range of food and all of what I tried tasted really nice! Definitely a nice average spot for some American food. Only thing that was slightly awkward was having to ask for refills, so waiting longer than normal to get drinks.

We understand that it was a busy evening but we were waiting a long time to be initially served. After reading online we discovered a Christmas menu which we had to specifically ask for. It was disappointing to see that it was not advertised in any way at the restaurant so other customers may have not been aware unless going on TGIF's website. The Mac and cheese starter came plain when it was supposed to come with bacon bits and jam, but when we informed the waiter they changed it straight away and apologised which was good. We were waiting a while for our drinks to be refilled too. The Santa smashed burger and chips was tasty and good quality.

We went quite late on a Friday night and had the best service from Claire, she was hands down the best waitress we have ever had anywhere. Helped us order, super knowledgable, friendly and went above and beyond. She’s an absolute credit to the lakeside restaurant. Even gave us balloons to take home to our children. If you go on a Friday night ask to sit in her section.

Thank you to TGI's for allowing us to host our family Christmas/birthday gathering. 15 of us gathered from far and near, and we had a fantastic time. The staff allowed us to decorate our tables, they were attentive to all of our needs and most amazingly, all of the meals arrived at the same time! The atmosphere was great and we weren't rushed. Great value, lovely food. Thank you to all of the staff who made this family gathering a special one.

Visited this restaurant on the 29th the seseme chicken did not fail it was amazing. From start to finish my lunch was great the staff were kind and the service was brilliant.

Was very reluctant to go to TGI’s after the horrific experience of the Chelmsford branch. However, tonight I was converted. The food was fantastic. The Cajun chicken pasta and the sesame seed chicken was really delicious and fresh! Service was was efficient and friendly. Thurrock, you have restored my faith in the TGI brand! I will be returning again!

Great place to visit to celebrate my sons birthday. Lynsey was our waitress and she was amazing. Food was delicious and bought out quickly and Lynsey even helped us save money with the TGIF app! Thanks very much, will be visiting again

Dated decor overpriced food, my first visit ever to a TGI, I took my grandson, and he had 3 fish fingers and 2 small pizza triangles. That was over 7 pounds, and I won't be returning

My family stopped at TGIs Lakeside for a late lunch/early dinner after a morning in London. We had the pleasure of being served by Lynsey, who was very friendly and accommodating from the start which made our dining experience even better! Thankyou Lynsey 😘

We brought our two hungry children here after an ikea trip. Food was good value for money and our server Khan was great with our boys! The boys really enjoyed their time and the balloons and activity books were a great touch!

Came for the lunchtime menu and then was told when we got there they were only save in the main menu even though it's still advertised on the website and all around. In fact as you're going to the restaurant they have the menus on offer on an able outside. I'm pretty sure you're meant to take these things down from the website and remove any advertising if it's not available as per trading standards.

Shay was absolutely fantastic tonight. So lovely and attentive, would definitely go back and ask for Shay!! The franks wings are also banging.

Waited over 10mins at the front desk for service to be seated. About 10 tables of people but only 1 bar person and no waiting staff available to seat guests. Left very disappointed and went to a nearby restaurant.

Food was 10/10 and Harry the waiter was very kind. Got myself the £15 bottomless sesame chicken and let me tell you - it was worth EVERY 👏 SINGLE 👏 PENNY 👏. Would definitely come again. Not one crumb left
