The best restaurants serving Default food in Suffolk Coastal East of England

This store is dreadful. The place is always freezing cold and the toilets are always ‘Out of Order’ and the staff seemingly indifferent. In the cafe I asked if I could have a jug of cold water. The coffee is too hot to drink and too strong. I had to point to a jug as they put it in a glass! Anybody would think I was trying to explain Einsteins Theory of Relativity.

We came to Felixstowe as the sun was out, and many people had the same idea. We wanted some sausage and chips while sitting via the water. All the fish and chip shops were extremely busy and so was this one. The wait seemed longer as the temperature dropped while we are were waiting but we were only waiting for 25mins. From first glance it seems chaotic, but the server’s behind the counter dealt with the tickets very well. We would be back if passing through. The prices were reasonable for where they are situated.

I walked up to the till and the young man was talking through the hole to the chef, so I was stood there! I ordered my breakfast and asked to swop 2 hash browns for a piece of toast, to be told I still have to pay extra for the toast. Went and sat down, to which I was not left long before my breakfast come, it was luke warm, the bacon was like leather and my eggs were over done Over all I not have an enjoyable break and it will be a long time before I come back

Amazing! I had fish and chips and my boyfriend had a doner kebab. Best takeaway in a 50 mile radius. Doner meat was fresh and hot, plenty of salad, lovely soft pitta. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed it...and he's fussy! My fish and chips were hot, fresh and not in the least but greasy. Delicious! Thank you

The lunch menu offered Trout as a main so I ordered it, when it came it was only a very small fillet not even enough for a starter, also to much salad I was very disappointed 😥 when the menu says trout one expects to get a whole fish. The grand children who were with us had children's portions which were far bigger than mine, my meal was an over priced disgrace.

Over cooked dry fish and Luke warm soggy chips. When cutting the fish the batter just shattered. Was out of cabinet not cooked to order. Worse fish n chips I’ve had in ages, waste of £17

Quick, easy and delicious. The menu is simple, but the outcome is always good. A family favourite for all ages. Duck in plum sauce is our favourite ... at the minute

A nice restaurant with Mediterranean tendencies and an ok atmosphere I recommend it to tourists who want to have a Mediterranean-style meal I do not recommend to those who are truly Mediterranean (Italian ) Plates and taste at a good level So recommended for those on vacation

Absolute filth. Walked out the shop, had a few chips then threw them in the bin. Dry and nasty.

Didn’t realise that this pub had reopened - went with a large group for Sunday lunch and were impressed. Good choice, portions on the small side which was OK by me. Very friendly service - we intend to return.

Only KFC worth visiting in Ipswich. Chicken is always crispy and moist. Worth driving the extra 10 mins to get here.

The same lady has been serving at the shop for 50 years Under only 3 owners through out all this time Mr Chippy until 48 years ago, his son for 32 years and then the new owners who have only been here for 16 years Now also offer Kebabs Fish cooked fresh from order which is lovely but means slow service Huge portions of medium chips, suggest one portion per two Fish and chips will cost about £12.00 on average, which when purchasing for 5 adults is expensive. As previously mentioned cut back on chips

Large portions but pricey. Good food but unfortunately the ordering system is very old-fashioned. In such a system, when writing orders on paper, mistakes occur and that is what happened in our case. Instead of mushy peas we got garden peas. We ordered tartar sauce. We did not receive it. I had to interrupt my meal to go to the service and ask for it to be delivered and changed.

Ordered our first set menu home delivery... . absolutely gorgeous taste, lots of food and delivery on time.....highly recommend

Tried to arrange our engagement party here and is the worst communication and service from the event organiser I have ever received. Constantly ignored even when it got to the point of going into the sea you to speak to the lady who organises. Had to keep chasing for responses and in the end was just ignored and never got back to. Is a real shame as we really liked the cafe there but will not be returning after the way we were treated.
