Kesgrave Fisheries in Suffolk Coastal

The worst fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Soggy chips with loads of bits and the fish! Looked like road kill. Tasteless with batter like a leather jacket.

Great fish and chips, we did see the previous reviews but went to see for our selves and we were not disappointed, very friendly people and the food was made fresh and the chips were fresh. 10/10 from us.

First time we visited this shop, as the local people have told us try it! We had a great experience, Fish was tasty, chips were nice- big portions. Would recommend to anyone that loves great fish & chips

Just purchased 2 medium cod and chips We only live 10 mins away but by the time I got home the batter had stuck onto the grease proof paper. What batter was left was soggy and full of fat The chips were also soggy and not at all crisp. Ontop of this everything was nearly cold I did phone up and complain and to be fair he offered a free meal next time but this has put us off completely.

only take cash or bank transfer...!!! got home and the batter off the scampi and the two cod had come off, stuck to paper, mushy - absolutely horrible

Simply not good enough especially now surrounded by competitors. Large chips a total rip off at £3.40 Sausage tasted bad. Chips greasy and not crispy Won’t go back

Portion size is shocking handful of chips and poxy piece of fish for £8.30 chips were cold (I ate in car park) so fresh out of fryer ! Couldn’t taste fish for the grease just tasted of fat avoid at all costs will certainly not be returning

Ordered two small chips, two large battered sausages and one small battered sausage. When we got home to dish up the food, I was in shock. The portion size was so small there wasn't even enough in one portion of chips for my 7 year old son. Won't be returning.

Whilst dog sitting nearby felt the need for sustenance ,called in about 5.15pm and got served quickly ordered cod and chips x2 the fish was excellent nice size with light crispy batter and a portion of not greasy chips of generous portion. Shop looked nice and clean with pleasant staff . Parking space beside shop is off road which is handy. Overall a pleasant experience and well recommended. Will call again if in this neck of the woods.

I have been a loyal and happy customer for many years, as were my late parents, and really can't say enough good about both the food and the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and our haddock/plaice etc is always 'cooked to order'. The batter is crisp and they will do 'lightly battered' if requested. I always ask for 'double-dipped' chips which are delicious and have them wrapped separately, to avoid the battered fish making the chips soggy. As we don't live locally anymore, we eat them in the car in their car park!

Called in tonight as was passing! I had a medium cod and chips and my Husband had large sausage and chips! Chips were absolutely awful, very small portions (have had larger child's portions elsewhere, my hand was bigger than the piece of fish that cost £7.20!) not that you would want larger portions as we threw most of ours in the bin! What a waste of almost £15! Would avoid if I was you!

I had sausages and chips here which I really enjoyed, the food here is great and is worth coming to.

The fish and chips at this place are the best. The cost is cheap and the service is great. I come here often as it is one of the best fish and chip shop that I know of.
