I will often come here and always rely on their great cod and chips or battered sausages. The owners are selfless as well and if there is spare food at the end of the shift they may give it away for free if you are lucky and they are lovely people. I would highly recommend this family run business and will continue coming for the future!

Went into the fish and chip Shop tonight and spent over £80 this evening to get back home and theres a burger missing……. We all make mistakes so I called the shop with the intention of going to collect the burger. However the young lad over the phone shouted to the lady and said they are missing a burger and she said no there not and the lad on the phone said i don't know what to say I said All bags were checked and there is a burger missing, silence on the phone so I said don't worry about it you will lose our service and we wont be returning to use this business again. Very poor customer service! Beware if they miss things from your order you'll be out of pocket

Ok, we ‘only’ had halloumi and chips, but we became peckish while on the road at lunchtime… but the chips were excellent, up there with the very best. Scoffed them in the car park, and felt very happy. We will definitely be back for the full works of fish, chips and some sides. Thank you for saving us today!

Best chip shop for miles ,worth the trip

Fish and chips tonight probably the best we’ve had for ages!!! Fish shops can be a little bit hit and miss with small portions or cold slimy chips, but not here not tonight absolutely perfect. Well done. Five Stars!!!

Super friendly, short wait and beautiful fish :)

A big standard chip shop. Bit oily. Bit undercooked on the chips. Battered sausage OK but expensive. Fish looked good when cooked but pappy upon arrival home due to steam. No boxes available which is probably the cause. We ordered to match the special offer. The price seemed off so queried it. Turns out offer doesn't run any more but they haven't bothered to take down the sign. Simply not good enough. Will not go back. Only ate there as only local chippy open on that day, but simply not good enough to want to return.

Had fish and chips and it was bloody lovely the best iv had in a long time fish was very tasty chips just right,definitely recommend 😋 oh and the staff very welcoming and chatty x

The worst fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Soggy chips with loads of bits and the fish! Looked like road kill. Tasteless with batter like a leather jacket.

Update Oct 2023. Been back numerous times and have to say, love the chips. Had some Halloumi fries the other day,not the best but still tasty. Battered sausage and chips great though. Good prices as well. Good ol' fish n chips! I don't eat fish so cant pass judgement but the chips are very good!

Twas alright, service was good, food was alright. I had cod from stock (hot shelf) as I was in a hurry probably would be even better if I could have been bothered to order and wait althrough there was nothing wrong with what I had and price was sensible. I would have no issues with returning at all.

Closes earlier than advertised, after a days work, you can't relay on this place. Food is great if you're lucky enough to find them open.

Great fish and chips, we did see the previous reviews but went to see for our selves and we were not disappointed, very friendly people and the food was made fresh and the chips were fresh. 10/10 from us.

Maybe we were unlucky as the reviews here are good, chips were soggy as was the fish batter! Fish over cooked and really not that good. Really like to support local but in all honesty wasn’t the best

Popped in today cod and chips. Spoke to young lady behind the counter and she was very polite and nice. Got my card out to pay , didn't accept card pay ment . They only accept bank transfer or cash. Not a good idea in today's society in my eyes so I didn't buy anything. That's a shame. I'd like to try the food and rate it properly on how it tastes and how it looks. Such a shame

Lovely food, very reasonable prices and I didn't have to wait too long for the food to be ready.

Just purchased 2 medium cod and chips We only live 10 mins away but by the time I got home the batter had stuck onto the grease proof paper. What batter was left was soggy and full of fat The chips were also soggy and not at all crisp. Ontop of this everything was nearly cold I did phone up and complain and to be fair he offered a free meal next time but this has put us off completely.

only take cash or bank transfer...!!! got home and the batter off the scampi and the two cod had come off, stuck to paper, mushy - absolutely horrible

Portion size is shocking handful of chips and poxy piece of fish for £8.30 chips were cold (I ate in car park) so fresh out of fryer ! Couldn’t taste fish for the grease just tasted of fat avoid at all costs will certainly not be returning

Quite possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The cod was thin and tiny with the consistency of leather and batter was thick and hard. It was inedible. The chips were only slightly better. I would be ashamed to serve this to a customer.

I was very happy to pull over here, double battered sausage and chips. Very generous coating of crispy batter. The chips were new potatoes at the time very pleasant. I don't normally ever finish a portion off but these went down a treat. I could also see from the signage they have some very good offers on. I just wish they'd buy the shop in Martlesham then I could visit weekly with work.

A horrendous experience, they served me rotten fish, which was oily and had been reheated. Their fish was off, their customer service from the owner l assume (had long pointy nails, a fake tan and wasn't dressed in her kitchen service wear) was very rude and condescending.

Ordered two small chips, two large battered sausages and one small battered sausage. When we got home to dish up the food, I was in shock. The portion size was so small there wasn't even enough in one portion of chips for my 7 year old son. Won't be returning.

Whilst dog sitting nearby felt the need for sustenance ,called in about 5.15pm and got served quickly ordered cod and chips x2 the fish was excellent nice size with light crispy batter and a portion of not greasy chips of generous portion. Shop looked nice and clean with pleasant staff . Parking space beside shop is off road which is handy. Overall a pleasant experience and well recommended. Will call again if in this neck of the woods.

Grease Grease Grease - cut in to battered sausage and the Grease was dripping out as I pick it up. Probably the worst battered sausage I have had

I have been a loyal and happy customer for many years, as were my late parents, and really can't say enough good about both the food and the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and our haddock/plaice etc is always 'cooked to order'. The batter is crisp and they will do 'lightly battered' if requested. I always ask for 'double-dipped' chips which are delicious and have them wrapped separately, to avoid the battered fish making the chips soggy. As we don't live locally anymore, we eat them in the car in their car park!

Called in tonight as was passing! I had a medium cod and chips and my Husband had large sausage and chips! Chips were absolutely awful, very small portions (have had larger child's portions elsewhere, my hand was bigger than the piece of fish that cost £7.20!) not that you would want larger portions as we threw most of ours in the bin! What a waste of almost £15! Would avoid if I was you!

I had sausages and chips here which I really enjoyed, the food here is great and is worth coming to.

The fish and chips at this place are the best. The cost is cheap and the service is great. I come here often as it is one of the best fish and chip shop that I know of.
