Had to wait 8 minutes for 3 wings that were burnt to a crisp. The person serving acted like I was causing nothing but problems for her.
Edit: Just found out they're closing on the 16th. Surprised they lasted as long as the did!
Excellent fish and chips in the bar with my dog (who rated the chips). Tartare sauce particularly good. They offer 2 sizes. Mine was small and more than enough.
We were upstairs in the "expensive" riverview restaurant for a pre-booked pre-concert dinner. Two courses £35, 3 courses £45. Beautful views across the river and reed-beds at sunset.
Arriving at the designated time it took 20 minutes before our order was taken. After the first course we were getting concerned that as the concert began at 7pm, we would run out of time. We didn't, but it was a close thing.
We ordered a glass of white wine each, but the wine was only just below room temperature and should have been much colder to be enjoyable.
Our starters were just about OK, although my Beef Bresaola was somewhat substandard - the beef was fine but the rest of the stated ingredients were pretty much tasteless.
My wife's main was the Confit Duck leg that she has described to me as being unexciting - there was a sauce and supposed to be blackberry jus (or something similar) that she was unable to identify and the potato was just a large shaped chunk of potato, possibly roasted!
My main (Confit Pork Belly) was "interesting" - the crackling was rock hard - I couldn't cut it with my knife and when I tried to bite into it, I still couldn't break it, so I abandoned that. When I mentioned this to the server, I was told that it would be reported to the kitchen - maybe it was, but no-one apologised or responded in any way to my complaint. In addition the accompanying "sauce" was like a green porridge in consistency and was barely lukewarm - overall what should have been the most interesting dish proved to be the most disappointing one.
Our desserts were reasonably good, but not worth the extra £10 for the 3rd course.
So, I would not recommend the restaurant and felt that it was very much over-priced and understaffed, as the service was friendly but incredibly slow. Total cost for the two of us £120, including 12.5% "gratuity".
As fairly frequent visitors to the Concert Hall , we will not be returning this restaurant.
As Chinese go this is fairly priced and OK. Polite staff and clean. You can see them cook. Will use them again. I had the set meal for one which is big enough for 2 or three
AMAZING! I’m writing on behalf of my slightly drunk father who came in and bargained down some food. I absolutely apologise for his behaviour but OMG was your service amazing and how you handled him.
We come here allllll the time, easily a couple times a month. Best food ever!! Totally worth the money. Amazing people, so kind, always on time and lots to choose from. Thanks guys👍💛

We called intending to have lunch, nobody welcomed us, we sat down and were ignored. Waitress passed us four times. Eventually I asked and was told we had to order at the counter in a narrow space by the door. I said some information signs would be helpful. I was passed two menu's without any apologies by I presume the owner?
We decided not to stay and had a lovely lunch in Gobbitts yard.
In fairness the food being served looked ok but the customer service?
Sadly lacking.
We ordered spicy chicken on line, There chickens are soooo salty and still pink inside. It will be my first and last, never order again to this food store.
The service is poor. The person who serve me was very rude!! The way he talked to me was condescending. Wish I took his name. He looks about 5'8 or 5'10 he's a bit chunky I think he is in his 20's.
After my brother and myself visited many care homes and being a carer in one myself I knew that Alice care home was the one. The manager Rachel gave us a tour and was very impressed with her openness and honesty and said her door is always open.
On the day of moving our mother who has Alzheimer’s in we were both so nervous how our mum would be. However we needn’t of worried, as our mum was provided with lunch and introduced to other residents while we unpacked her belongings.
The activities lead Penny and carer Emily literally couldn’t have been so kind and welcoming which made the transition smooth.
It understandably took our mother a little while to settle which is to be expected but the staff were so supportive and caring to us all which reassured us.
Everyone of the staff are wonderful and carers Mary-Beth and Jay have both been fantastic.
We are so grateful and happy that our mum is in a safe and beautiful home and is being treated with dignity and respect.
The activities and facilities are both excellent and my mum says in her own words “everyone here are just so lovely and I’m really happy here”
Well done Alice Grange and thank you.

Incredibly unfriendly and rude staff. We’re locals and I’ve been here before many times but never again. We arrived at 11.28am and asked if we could still order a breakfast item they advertised as being available until 11.30am. One member of staff rolled her eyes at my 78 year old father because he dared ask a question and one old lady shouted that we could look at the paninis in the fridge. They clearly don’t want customers.
Went for breakfast this morning had to queue at counter for good 15 minutes to order
Girl on till was slow and folding receipts was more important than taking the orders
Wait another 25/30 mins for breakfast although it was only half full
Breakfast was good quality spoilt by the waiting around
Had no drinks left by time we got meal didn’t fancy the queue again
So wouldn’t venture back again such a shame
