We called intending to have lunch, nobody welcomed us, we sat down and were ignored. Waitress passed us four times. Eventually I asked and was told we had to order at the counter in a narrow space by the door. I said some information signs would be helpful. I was passed two menu's without any apologies by I presume the owner? We decided not to stay and had a lovely lunch in Gobbitts yard. In fairness the food being served looked ok but the customer service? Sadly lacking.

Yet another cafe that simply isn’t good enough. Won’t return and don’t recommend. Service is slow. Staff look grumpy and don’t engage with their customers. We had soup with homemade bread. Well that’s what the menu said. It was shop bought bread and terrible, soup was luke warm and tasteless, probably shop bought too. Scones we spotted were still in the shop bought wrappers. Butter came with the bread, but no knife was provided and we couldn’t get anyone’s attention so as we were hemmed in we ate it without. Avoid 😕

My mother, brother and I came into the newly refurbished 'Drift' after doing a spot of shopping. I ordered a flat white with oat milk which was passable, however my brother ordered a normal flat white which was an unfortunate mistake... As you can see from the attached photo, what he ordered and what he got were two very different things. The description of a flat white is double espresso, steamed milk and microfoam (a little foam), however the drink we were presented with appeared to be espresso with warm milk and not even a touch of foam. When we brought this to the attention of the server, she insisted that this was in fact a flat white (she told us to "ask any Italian" even though this is an Australian drink). After we conducted an online search for "flat white" and showed this to the server, she claimed that all of these images were incorrect and did not represent a true flat white. This strikes me as odd, because every single flat white I have sampled over the past years has bared more resemblance to the ones in the Google image search, than the one today. Other than this, the carrot cake was good and a generous size.

We visited this cafe both in the morning for coffee and again in the afternoon for something to eat. No complaints about the morning but it was a lot busier later on when we found some of the staff less welcoming, even "surly", the word used by a previous reviewer. To be fair, the lady who served us our food was pleasant enough. But we had to wait quite a long time just for a toastie, a scone and jacket potato. My potato was undercooked, even raw in parts, and they weren't that generous with the cheese. The toastie and scone were fine and we had no complaints about the drinks. As others have said, I think the prices were a bit high.

We had stopped in Woodbridge on our way from Essex to see some friends in Darsham. We had had a mooch about and decided we were ready for lunch, saw this place and thought we would give it a try. Unfortunately it was fairly busy inside so we sat at a table outside the front of the cafe, thankfully it wasn't too cold that day. They seemed to have tried to squeeze one more table and chairs than really fitted out there so we had a job to squeeze in around the table comfortably. We ordered soup with bread and a sausage roll each and a soft drink. The drinks arrived first, the glasses were clean but covered in watermarks which I find off-putting. The soup then came, it was a pureed root veg soup and although well made and a nice texture it completely lacked seasoning, very bland, ended up having to use loads of salt and pepper to give it any flavour, the accompanying bread was very nice. Soup almost finished no sign of the sausage rolls, went in to ask and I think they had forgotten about them. When they arrived they were nice, light pastry and tasty sausage meat. At just over £20 I think it was on the high side price wise for the service we received and the quality overall.

Tried this new cafe for the first time. Stylishly refurbished from the old Georgian Tea Rooms which had been in Woodbridge forever. However, not only was the food very poor, particularly for the price charged, but the atmosphere was terrible. Staff were surly and completely disinterested in their customers. The coffee was good though. We will not be returning. With the excellent Honey & Harvey just over the road, it's hard to see this cafe surviving. Let's hope we just visited on a bad day.

This place is very moden and light not like the old one, when we went there only a couple of people in,the food is priced much too high for what you get.

Needed lunch for myself and my 2 teenage girls today in Woodbridge, Suffolk. We know the all the usual places but remembered the old place which used to be here. Now don’t get me wrong, the old place had a certain vintage charm, but more 50’s than 2019’s. This new place is bright and airy, good WiFi, nice ambiance and the food was , well, brilliant really. Served with passion, and humour. The menu is not large, but everything we had was really well cooked, and tasted (and looked) great.

We love this funky revamped cafe. The staff are lovely. And the food is delicious. Our sandwiches were excellent. Fresh ingredients and timely but relaxed service. Really worth a visit. Thanks Drift team

Possibly the worst coffee I've ever tasted. Horrible crab dinner for 22 pounds. smash burger acceptable - but only fries were on menu "with skin on" however, they tasted like they came from the freezer and were terribly boring and tasteless. desert - dreadful - a tiny bit of cooked fruit at bottom of bowl of broken up meringue and possible cream topped with very green tasteless ice (definitely not ice cream. supposedly sorbet - never tasted anything like it in my life other than ice with food coloring) The view was great!

Went to see if it is as bad as people say, the crew don't seem necessarily happy or friendly and environmental is just uneasy. It's not the worst though..

I have thoroughly enjoyed singing to the residents at Alice Grange. It feels so homely and welcoming. I am looking forward to returning soon ☺️

Very limited range of fairies to go on top of Christmas trees! Think there was just two - the same but one white and the other cream. Expected more!
