Waitrose in Suffolk Coastal

This store is dreadful. The place is always freezing cold and the toilets are always ‘Out of Order’ and the staff seemingly indifferent. In the cafe I asked if I could have a jug of cold water. The coffee is too hot to drink and too strong. I had to point to a jug as they put it in a glass! Anybody would think I was trying to explain Einsteins Theory of Relativity.

Quite frankly, as the devoted husband of a John Lewis Partner and a lifelong consumer, I was let down today. This brings me no joy; today I was ignored by upwards of three members of staff. Whilst buying one’s obligatory morning bottle of gin, pizzas, humous, Pringles, tzatziki, Doritos, tonic and Kingskins, I waited for approximately half a lifetime for the dumpy little dwarf to confirm my age. It breaks my heart to confess that Becky was one of the neerdowells thus ending our engagement. Linda could offer no comfort. Geofrey; no consolation. Rectify this immediately. Always a good experience - even if you dislike food shopping. Often easy and rarely are the queues too long to irritate - even at Christmas!

Terrible customer service I am going through the most horrible thing again my mental health illness since 2018. Due to nobody around me other than very few friends staff very very unsimpathetic I exploded should not have done so tried to apologise staff not interested won’t be visiting them again

Very high on security and safety. Friendly staff and the shelves were well stocked. We really need more parking time, to relieve the stress. Great to have a free coffee machine.

Having shopped in many Waitrose shops before (around here and in and around London),this has to be the most unpleasant one. Sorry,but to be told I cannot use John Lewis credit card which I sign for - choice one is given when getting the said card - I was then interrogated by another,rather rude male member of staff,in front a queue of customers waiting to pay. Eventually the cashier "relented", then commented "I don't know,I am not on checkout very often". How is that my problem? The whole experience was rather humiliating and unpleasant. (Oh,and I speak with an accent,English is one of few other languages I speak - well,I might add - apart from my mother tongue. Just saying).Staff need to get better training re-credit cards and customer care overall.

lovely shop, sadly, it was ruined by an arrogant elderly male staff member (very tall and slim) who was following me and my friends around the entirety of the shop. He then proceeded to approach us and tell us to 'hurry up' when i asked why, he told me that he was getting 'bored of following us around' to this i argued that i was just happily shopping, the only nice member of staff in the shop was a young lad called Dale i believe. Will not visit again, dont like getting accused of stealing!!!!

Coffees were great..excellent flat white and latte with free cupcakes (a real.bonus!)..ginger cake was especially good..all served with a smile. We had quite a long wait for our main courses (ordered baked aubergine and lasagne) and when arrived we had two aubergines. However think something had gone amiss with the computer ordering system and the young lady in the kitchen was clearly overstretched and couldn't have been more apologetic. She offered to cook us a lasagne but unfortunately we didn't have time to wait so we accepted the offer if a free drink..very lovely bottle green ginger cordial. These things happen so it's what someone does to try and put it right that matters. Based on today's visit would happily return and we are regular customers to the shop but would recommend the tasks are shared a little more evenly.

We always try to stop of here to stock up enroute to Aldeburgh as sadly we have lost our local Waitrose that was in Hertford . The quality and choice is always good and the staff very helpful and friendly . Free parking on site is a bonus .

Plenty parking plenty staff on hand. Usual good range of good quality products and produce. Usually bit more expensive than the main competitors but never any decline in quality.

rude members of staff (specifically woman in low brunette ponytail). Absolutely disgusting customer service, rude about everything.

Always shop at Waitrose when I can. Do not have a store locally. Purchased all our provisions here, during the week we stayed on holiday, in Knodishall. Price may be slightly higher than other supermarkets, but quality is always guaranteed. Not disappointed by this store.

Great food and drink and great cafe , lovely service from assistants , different types of luxury items as well as everyday items

Drove to the Waitrose from Aldeburgh. Not far and worth the travel time. Great products and produce. Shopped locally for bits, but for a main shop, Waitrose is the place.

I can never understand the staffing policy in this Waitrose. Pop in to buy something quick for tea & your heart sinks when you reach the checkouts. Long queues at everywhere, while Waitrose staff enjoy a good chinwag at the customer care desk. I have been known to abandon my basket and go to Tesco instead. Tesco's has a lot of faults, but if there's more than one person ahead of you at the tills they'll always open a new for you. Waitrose Saxmundham could learn a lot about customer service from their competitor.

It was so handy having the Waitrose within a 10 minute drive of our self catering holiday home. We visited 3/4 times in our weeks stay. A lot of our favourite foods were available so locally, what a bonus.

I didn't expect to find such a large store here, there is a large car park, and a great choice of food. For a small town, this was a real surprise!

This Waitrose has a huge car park. It also has a cafe where you can get a free drink with a my waitrose card. The mocha is heavenly. Very clean and a joy to shop

Nuevo larga cola una pobre chica joven que sirve bebidas, comida y dinero. Mesas llenas de utilizada vajilla etc. A pesar de un miembro del personal llevando nuestra comida caliente, volvimos a la cocina por las mesas. Mientras espera a la orden vinieron a tomar notas de los clientes, ajenos a hasta. Venga en Waitrose puede hacerlo mucho mejor. Nunca leer los comentarios? ? ?

Called here whilst on holiday for a few provisions - smart little store with a reasonable amount of parking. Small cafe area but serves good coffee & reasonable snacks.

Pedimos dos hamburguesas y patatas fritas con tocino y queso, estaba bien caliente en platos calientes y deliciosos. El café era bueno y también muy caliente. El joven que nos trajo comida parado por unos minutos más tarde para preguntarme si todo estaba bien, un buen detalle.

Me visita la tienda Waitrose (no el café) mensuales y tengo que decir que el personal realmente necesitan evaluar. Todo el personal más joven que he encontrado han sido nada pero educado y amable, pero pocos de los más mayores del personal son de otro costal! Pocas veces dicen un simple "hola", olvídate te dan una sonrisa! Me quedo la sensación de un inconveniente para ellos. No espera ser tratado de esta manera en cualquier tienda en un supermercado supuestamente de alto nivel.

Buena cafetería con café si pasas en la tienda, y siempre excelente sopa espesa con gran trozo de pan.

It's a nice clean location but as part of a supermarket of course not a cosy ambience. Staff are very pleasant but as has been remarked staffing levels in Waitrose seem to have reduced and staff no longer seem to have the time to provide the exceptional levels of service we used to get. I also think it would be better to keep the food displayed on the counter under covers.

We visit this branch of Waitrose weekly and usually have a refreshment after shopping. The supermarket experience is as one would expect and is not part of this review.The staff are excellent but on our recent visit we had to leave before receiving our toasted teacakes , having finished our pot of tea . The long wait was explained by the staff as being caused by the busy period ( several breakfasts having been ordered). Lack of staff is the actual cause surely. This is a supermarket cafe trying to be a restaurant but without the necessary staffing levels.

Waitrose in saxmundham is very handy as they sell the products Tesco, across the road don't. Some items are more expensive but some are cheaper! Staff are extremely polite and willing to help.

A good selection of cakes, sandwiches, light snacks and tea/coffee. It's a great place if you want something to eat quickly. It does get very busy in this popular supermarket. It's a shame that Waitrose stopped the free coffee/tea as now you have to purchase something to eat in the café although you can just have a free drink to take away.

Lovely old-fashioned but efficient service. Easy car park, helpful staff. What's not to like? Good fresh meat, fish and deli counters.
