The best restaurants serving Default food in Broadland East of England

The place is a shambles. We have been there a few times and it just gets worse. Walked in and the bar was stacked with dirty glasses, stood there for over 15 mins at an unmanned bar, and was completely ignored as the owners were both in the kitchen. Surely a basic requirement of a pub is to have someone serving?? The landlady saw us waiting to be served and didn't even acknowledge our presence. It only would have taken a 'be there in a minute' to make it so much better. I understand they were busy ( why not employ a waitress??), but ignoring customers really does not inspire you to spend money there! Got chatting to one of the regulars who said its often like this but won't complain! We left and went to The Bird in Hand where the staff were friendly, and the bar was manned. Needless to say...we won't be going back to the "Jolly" Farmers. Avoid at all cost!

Staff really friendly and helpful, but £10 for a panini like this is just silly. Lovely view of the golf course and lots of seating.

Love this pub, its in a great location for Salhouse Broad and long walks There is ample parking, a big outside area to eat and drink too As vegan, we struggled to find much choice... I ended up with soup and chips. Not my ideal choice but the chunky chips were amazing it has to be said. Such a lovely atmosphere inside for just a drink or indeed food. Also the bonus is the brewery and shop with many beers available...

We visited today, family of 3 and our dog who was allowed in the bar or in the beer garden. The beer garden is lovely with plenty of well spaced tables and for younger children lots of play equipment. Very clean and well kept. Ordering can he done via app at the table or in the bar if you want to order with a human 😉 It was fairly busy but our food and drinks came in a reasonable time and the food was lovely. Chilli burger , scampi and children's sausage. All was presented well and tasted great and was reasonably priced especially considering how overheads and produce prices have rocketed. We also saw the carvery which looked delicious too so may have to go back for that. Overall a great experience, we will definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

WORST SUNDAY ROAST EVER AVOID……… went to this pub as a couple, the pub was almost empty at 1.30pm Sunday lunch time. That set our alarm bells in our mind going. Should have listened to them. The roast pork dinners were so disgusting I don’t think a hungry dog would eat. Pork was very fatty, didn’t taste like pork as it had no flavor. Roast potatoes were cold, they did bring replacement but they had obviously been thrown in a chip fryer. And greasy burnt to a crisp. The broccoli was so over cooked it fell through my fork. Watery cabbage, two cold greasy carrots, I sad cold parsnip. A spoon of cold mush which we finally found out it was supposed to be cauliflower cheese ,looked like rice pudding. No stuffing or apple sauce. We actually couldn’t eat the food. What a waste of money, hard earned money staff not interested BEST ADVICE DO NOT VISIT.

Lots of empty tables outside we thought we would stop and have lunch as the big a frame board outside stated home made lunches. My partner went in to get a menu only to be told we do not do food. Might explain all the empty tables. I would suggest removing the a frame advertisement as well to save wasting other peoples time.

Chicken was dry and I'm sure at least a day old , Wings vwere even worse, ribs where ok , but all out in the same box so my chicken was BBQ flavour not southern fried , chips tasteless and hard in side , asked for salt and vinegar, couldn't taste either , waste of money ...

Picked a bad day to visit. Slow service, waited ages in the queue.

I saw an advert for this place and decided to check it out. Myself, my dad and sister had been shopping at Longwater, so not far to travel. The restaurant was buzzing and we had to wait a short while to be seated. After choosing our food and having to wait a bit it arrived. My sister was alarmed that she had black pudding and mushrooms on her plate. Neither of which were in the meals description. Father enjoyed his meal, although he couldn't eat all of it due to the size. My meal is the main reason for writing this review….. The eggs could have been cooked a little longer, far too many mushrooms, no baked beans, and no hash browns. But my biggest grip is concerning the vegetarian sausages. They were dreadful, the kind of rubbish served up in the 70’s. Mashed Potato with bits of pea and carrot in a fine breadcrumb. Today there are so many vegetarian sausage options on the market, many very good and tasty. I know that something better could have been served. I’m so shocked that a fancy and expensive place like this would dish up such crap. And for the price of the meal I felt angry and ripped off. I’m sorry to say that this first visit to The Goat Shed will also be my last.

Every time I order food here it’s amazing, I order at least once a month from here and every time. Hot tasty food, and it’s quick and all the staff are friendly. I 100% recommend

Went to this cafe Thursday 10 th April whilst waiting at counter to be served a young girl came out of kitchen with food took to a old lady sitting on a table alone the old lady touched the food then the girl took it away from her after it was the wrong table she the gave to the right table after the old lady had touched the food with seeing this we left without eating there To witness this was very bad

Tried New China tonight for dinner. Delivery was fast, and food was hot, but that is all the positives I can give it. Delivery driver tried to tell me the order was £28 ish instead of £23 ish. Gave driver £30 said call it £25 he have me £1 ish change. Needed to challenge again to get the right change. We ordered beef with mushroom, roast pork with mushroom, Singapore fried rice and chicken balls with curry sauce. The chicken balls were the only thing worth consuming. The sauce for the two meat dishes appeared to be stock cubes dissolved in water, thickened by cornflour. The dishes clearly had not be sauteed as there was no colour. The rice was underwhelming and the curry sauce was awful. We have used New China in the past, but will never be using the again. We are very disappointed.

Poor toast, very weak coffee, had to ask for a forgotten drink, food item and spoons. Not very good.
