Jolly Farmer in Broadland

We are staying nearby and booked this pub for evening meal last night and tonight. We then read the reviews and were worried. We didn’t need to worry about. The land lady was very polite and friendly. Had a lovely chat with her. The food was absolutely amazing and we couldn’t fault anything. The price was very good for the portion size and quality of the food. We would definitely visit again. They take card payments as well.

A very friendly reception and superb food . The chef only to pleased to cater for gluten-free customers , he had good value menu with generous size portions, All in all a very pleasant evening.

Most unfriendly, unhelpful and argumentative land lady that it has ever been my misfortune to meet. Don’t go.

Had an excellent Sunday lunch with family, will definately be going back. We hadn't been to Jolly Farmers for ages but was pleased to find that the food was just as good as we remembered it.

We ordered a chicken burger and beef burger for takeaway and when we got home both burgers were covered in ketchup, which I personally do not like (ketchup). I was upset that I wasn’t given the choice of sauce when ordering the food as it should be asked as an option as opposed to an assumption, sauces should be an optional extra not without being told. It resulted in not eating what I ordered and ended up eating nothing.

Had a lovely time to celebrate my sister's birthday. The hosts were marvellous. Food was amazing absolute 10 out of 10. Top notch place run by people who care. We will definitely be visiting them again and I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Ive recently moved to the area and was looking for a take away and the jolly farmers didnt disappoint. The lovely lady on the phone made making the order easy, the food was ready at the exact time slot allocated for collection and payment was made from a safe distance. The food was piping hot and delicious, we will definitely be ordering again. I would encouage everyone to order from our lovely local pub.

Aparecí con un par de amigos que esperaban comida básica de pub, pero nos sorprendió gratamente, dos comimos bacalao y salmón mornay, un ternera sizzler y yo Home made Steak and Ale Pie. La mía era la mejor tarta de bistec y cerveza de pub que había comido. Los demás de la fiesta estuvieron de acuerdo en que la comida era deliciosa. Bien hecho. Sería fácil pasar el pub local del pueblo, ya que no parece atractivo desde el exterior, pero nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y la comida fue excelente. Amazing service. Food was brilliant and staff were hardworking and friendly. Even with Covid they are very accommodating with lovely garden to wait in and bar service too. Would definitely go again.

Sin falta siempre hemos sido bien atendidos. Vivimos localmente y vamos a tomar una copa o, como suele ser el caso, llamamos con un grupo de amigos para una comida. También lo usamos para una fiesta mucho más grande para una comida navideña. Encontramos que los anfitriones son amables, hay una gama limitada pero adecuada de cervezas, la comida es abundante y bien preparada, además tiene un buen precio. El edificio es desafortunado, tiene poca atmósfera, pero esa es una característica de su diseño y construcción, pero no se puede hacer mucho al respecto. Las críticas muy negativas están completamente en desacuerdo con nuestra experiencia, no dudo de su precisión, sino que digo que no reflejan nuestra experiencia.

Llamamos aquí durante las vacaciones para tomar una copa. El lugar parece estar bien equipado con todas las cosas habituales, dardos, bar de fútbol, televisión, etc., pero le faltaba un poco de ambiente. La pinta de pale ale que tuve estaba demasiado fría y solo un poco menos clara. No se mantiene muy bien, creo. Además, no almacenan jugo de tomate. Me dijeron que decepcionó a mi pareja que prefiere los refrescos.

Poor service when under pressure, food not the best ,we will never visit again, disappointed in the manner in which we were seated, not attentive to the disabled .

I think the food is wonderful value for money. Friday fish and chip night is great. Steak and sizzle night is a must on winter Saturdays. The BBQs are the really good. I personally find all the staff friendly and welcoming. Big thumbs up from me

Estoy sorprendido por algunas de las críticas indiferentes que se han dejado, hemos estado yendo a los Jolly Farmers durante los últimos 12 años y con regularidad, y honestamente puedo decir que la comida se cocina al más alto nivel y tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio. por dinero. . . sí, el chef puede tener el día de descanso ocasional. . . quien no . . . . pero no dudaría en recomendar este lugar para comida fresca, bien cocinada y de calidad. Apoyo a Tony y Shirley de todo corazón por todos los esfuerzos y el arduo trabajo que implica administrar un restaurante ocupado. . . . Just had one of the best ever bbq Sirloin steaks and my wife had an equally gorgeous bbq Pork Spare Rib. All cooked to order outside on the bbq and it cost less than £25 with drinks too! Great value and great, honest food.

Tomó a mi madre el domingo pasado para un almuerzo asado. Ahora soy uno para salir a comer si tengo la oportunidad. No he tenido un asado tan sabroso por mucho tiempo, tenía un trozo de las 3 carnes que me ofrecían, muchas verduras, patatas asadas cocinadas en casa no congeladas y con la salsa adecuada. Estaba lleno, pero no pude resistirme a un dulce, pastel de queso, delicioso, no quería crema, así que Shirley, la casera, me encontró helado.Esta fue mi segunda visita este año hasta ahora, la primera fue una ocasión más sombría, en la que el pub puso un súper buffet para nuestra ocasión privada.Sin duda volveré.

El interior del pub estaba un poco anticuado y un poco desaliñado, pero la comida era muy buena. Soy vegetariano y casi me fui después de mirar el menú, pero decidí preguntar. Me alegro de haberlo hecho, ya que el tagliatelle con verduras era de primera clase. Revamped inside - toilets look fabulous new bars and lights, resturant in process of being updated....we went to the steak and sizzle night absolutely lovely meal friendly staff cant wait to go back!

Esta es la segunda vez que hemos estado aquí para comer el domingo en seis semanas y la segunda vez fue tan buena como la primera. Una selección de entrantes, que incluía hígados de pollo en Madeira - un éxito con los hombres! Ensalada de gambas preciosa king para las mujeres, seguido de carne hermosa suculentos, destacaban los caseros Yorkshire, salchichas, relleno, una buena selección de verduras y salsa muy sabrosa. Mi esposo y yo, junto con 2 amigos en una comida en el Jolly agricultores sábado 22 octubre 2016. Tuvimos una comida encantadora, la comida era excelente, muy buena relación calidad-precio, sin duda lo recomendaría.

Bien los comentarios anteriores cabe mencionar los baños están fuera de la ventana, ya que estas se han reformado.

El carvery es muy buena y con una generosa porción de carne muy caliente y sabrosa, la elección del desierto es limitada, pero de buena calidad. chef también prepaired gluten salsa para mi esposa y también sin gluten tarta de postre. 8.95 para 2 zoos ganga. Sí, la decoración podría refrescarse.

Held our car club meeting their recently and found staff very friendly and welcoming Sunday carvoury was very good

What a shame. We have eaten here a number of times over the years but, in common with other people giving their opinion, we found the toilets, particularly the ladies, to be awful and leaking all over the floor - and toilet rolls running out.

Very dirty towel in the ladies looked like it had been used to clean the floor.. Webs everywhere and dirt... The list is endless !!!

I'd never visited The Jolly Farmers before but me and a few friends walked into this pub on a rainy day as we didn't want to be stuck out in the rain so we thought we'd call in to get dry and have a drink. We entered the quiet bub and I went and bought myself a pint of fosters, my other friends proceeded to find seats and sit down to dry off, they weren't thirsty at the time and just wanted to relax for a moment. The man behind the bar then enforced that 'if you're not buying a drink than please could you leave'. It wasn't like we weren't going to buy drinks but he forced us to buy them immediately. A few of my friends then asked why we needed to buy drinks as soon as we came through the door and he continued to be rude by sniggering and mumbling under his breath at us. The customer service in the pub is non-existent and I could tell that they're only worried about profit and not making people feel welcome. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Enter at your own risk.

We hadn't booked for sunday lunch. but was told if we waited 5 minutes a table would be ready for us. We ordered drinks and were soon asked politely through to the restaurant.The food was hot and plentiful and served on hot plates.Service was prompt and polite.Good meal for the reasonable price we paid. Décor look tired and in need of updating. We would consider eating here again.

worst place i have visited in a long time, impolite and slow service, food is below average, and scruffy surroundings, a real disapointment.

Called into this pub after a very pleasant morning's walk with friends. Our table had been booked for 13:15 (a friend tried to book for 13:00, but was told that they were too busy then, and that it would have to be 12:45 or 13:15 - fair enough, he opted for 13:15). We arrive at 13:00 and ordered drinks; I asked for a tea, but was firmly told "I am too busy to make tea". As I was driving I decided to have nothing. We were told to go and sit in their back room (scruffy room with pool table, tv, juke box etc), or in the garden as the bar area was too busy for us to stay. Again not a problem as it was a sunny day. We re-entered at 13:15 and went into the restaurant area, where we were told that we were too early and to go back. We would be told when they would be ready for us. 2 of our friends explained that they had to be away by 14:30, but that made no difference. We left the restaurant area and waited in the lobby outside the restaurant door. The (same) lady said something about being untidy, and removed the fire extiguisher that had been holding the door open, and closed the door on us. By this time I was extremely unhappy. I went into the restaurant area, and said to the lady that I had not encountered such a rude person before and that we had a good mind to leave; she said "Go on then". She followed me out to the lobby where she told the gentleman that had booked the table that he had got his times wrong, and that he didn't book for 13:15. That was the last straw. I said "Let's leave", at which point I was pushed on the arm. This resulted in me standing on her foot on the way out, at which point I was slapped. Go there if you dare!
