KFC Norwich - Sprowston Retail Park in Broadland

Picked a bad day to visit. Slow service, waited ages in the queue.

It’s a KFC, if you know kfc you’ll know this place. Spotlessly clean with good efficient service, a few outdoor tables in the car park of the retail centre which were nice to sit in the sun and eat lunch.

It tastes good, good service just these prices are crazy! I did double take on the price for what I had but nothing is cheap these days.

Got a takeaway. They missed out half the order so went back. Nobody wanted to talk to us when we returned. We had to get the attention of staff ourselves. The other meals we ordered was still in the hot counter. One young female member of staff was playing on her phone in full view of customers when we was ignored on our return. 40 minutes after the food was cooked we got to eat it. As you can imagine the chips and milkshakes had to go in the bin. If you screw up an order don't ignore the customer and cook a fresh one.

Waiting more then 30 minutes long queue the speaker out of order so short of staff ! Worst kfc ever !

Ever since the refurb this has been our go to kfc! It’s always clean, the food is always hot and we don’t have to wait too long! 10/10

My daughter got popcorn chicken from here on Friday and has been really sick since, Also I know of another child getting really sick after eating popcorn chicken from here, disgusting stay away.

Tried the Louisiana burger and dirty fries. Awesome and hot. Really clean restaurant and great helpful staff

The ice cream machine is conveniently ‘broken’ a lot. Best off going further up the road and going to the mile cross one. The queues here at the drive thru are always ridiculously long. I know KFC is known for slow service, but this branch must earn the award for the slowest. The speaker at the drive thru has been broken for a while, if you’re lucky enough to be at the front of the long queue of cars, you’ll be sat waiting for a while before anyone opens the window to serve you. We once sat in the queue of cars for 20 minutes only to get to the window to be told their ice cream machine wasn’t working… sounds to me like they are short staffed and unable to deal with the demands of a busy drive thru, so conveniently have a broken machine. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Certain things aren't always available, the drive thru speaker has been broken for quite some time and quite frankly the excuse of "ice cream machine not working" is just another way of saying no one wanted to turn it on that day- this has happened several times, apparently some days it works and somedays it doesn't. Long wait time too. Best off going somewhere else tbf.

I'm editing this review as it's a bit different 2 years on, we were passing and needed to eat so called in, the food is much the same and was ok but whats happened!! No hot drinks!! That's ridiculous, as an adult with teenagers I don't want a fizzy cold drink with my meal, will give it a miss in future

No ice cream, and very few chips.

Speaker never seem to work and the queue is just ridiculous. After queueing for half n hour, they didn’t have certain sides we wanted and also the wait for the popcorn chicken was so long they have offered me an alternative which i took because I was ready to leave that place. When I’ve got home, i realised we’ve received the completely wrong order. The alternative chicken filet was not in the bag instead they put hot wings in which I wouldn’t eat anyway. It was all chucked into a bag, burgers fallen apart. Disgusting service and the team is depressed and unwelcoming. Always seems like they cannot handle the business and pressure and doesn’t want to be there. Big changes are needed.

Every single time i have ordered from KFC , something is missing, or the wrong items have been sent . They should be removed from this site, if they cant gwt their act together

Received the wrong order, so returned to the store to get my chicken. Had to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru line and by the time I reached the drive thru I was raging. Then MJ served me at the window and I just couldn't get angry. He offered me a drink, apologised and had a really nice attitude about him. I almost didn't want to leave the window. Because of him and the very kind store manager who was also nice, you instantly turned the situation around. 5*

Food didnt even show up. Left my number in the order details no call nothing. £50 ++ order gone and all I got was a email saying thanks for my patience. Joke mate.

Food arrived cold this is due to kfc not the driver. Lettuce in the burger wasn’t fresh. Had pretty much a full tub of bbq sauce with 4 small nuggets dropped on the top. Chips were cold and soggy. Haven’t had kfc for a long time and it’s going to be an even longer time till I even think of having it again.

Don't bother, twice now we tried and they've forgotten at least 1 item, last one was all the chips !!!!! Which I never received any refund for or got them delivered to me. Also what's the point of this review really - all the KFC Owner will reply is "I'm sorry to here you had a bad experience Andy, we'll pass it onto the team and hopefully we can do better next time" basically KFC have robbed me not once but twice!! I have e-mailed head office direct, but guess what no reply !! JOKE !!

Shame they don't read the order notes asked for no lettuce but was full of lettuce maybe take a bit of extra time to read the orders

I ordered a 10 piece bucket and don’t think it’s acceptable to get all legs. Legs are the worst ones as half of them had hardly any chicken on them. Won’t be using KFC again.

Thank you to our server Lucy polite friendly patient professional and very busy you couldn't have done more. But KFC what a shame you let your dedicated staff down, they go above and beyond for your customers, but you can't be bothered to employ more staff to help your existing loyal employees, you should be disappointed with yourselves. Your staff like Lucy should be not promoted but paid double, for doing the job of more than one person, she served helped in the kitchen and brought the food, back and forth not just to me but everyone, hats off to you Lucy you are worth more than KFC knows. The food was also the best I've had for a while so I had to say something, as Lucy was the only staff i see. I could go on but basically EMPLOY MORE STAFF!

Don't normally respond to these reviews, but why do KFC always wrap the cold drink that you order in the same bag as the hot food? Food was subsequently cold on delivery! Chips (signature fries) you could count! All-in-all...a horrific take-away!!!

Over priced food, at the Sprowston Branch, there is a rude & unreasonable male manager we had the unfortunate event of speaking to in store. Had travelled 40mins and ordered £25 of food but this one particular manager flat out refused to simply swap the 1 piece on-the-bone chicken that came in a box meal, for 1 boneless piece instead (which are smaller anyway), for a pregnant lady who had requested it, even though we had asked for this when visited the store previously and another staff member was more than happy to swap it out. Seems this guy needs to *get off his high horse* and stop being so unreasonable over 1 piece of boneless chicken, acted like it was coming out of his own pocket...! Won't be going back here simply because of this one arrogant bloke, hope he is enjoying his little power trip!

Food was Cold, Had 2 Missing items and the delivery man waited outside for 10 Minutes.

Slow, messy,sticky, music was just noise, staff all look like they don't want to be there, food was warm and fairly tastless.

Place got worse. 2 kids at the front and not able to keep up with orders. Waited 20 minutes for it. Saw both whispering and looking at me. Called the place to inform them, but nothing happened. Better customer service would be appreciated.

The food was delicious but once again my drink was missing !

No fizzy drinks available, no coffee, regularly unable to meet orders or get them wrong. Worst KFC in the world.

Well, you couldn't describe it as "fast"... it was at least edible but unfortunately lacked the flavourful seasoning we usually experience from kfc (they were exceedingly busy and appear to have forgotten to add flavour through overwhelm).. with such a large potential clientele here (being part of the industrial estate) it surprises me this building is so small. With a larger space and more staff these poor souls might stand more of a chance of keeping up. They're trying really hard but customers are packed in like sardines. The food we received was squished, obviously rushing as much as possible to get through everyone, and as previously stated, tasted very plain. I'd highly recommend kfc... just not this one unfortunately.

Driver refused to come to follow delivery instructions, making me find him. Even went as far as to shout hello instead away from my building so I could come to him instead. Food cold by the time I got it because of this

Order was late from time of order put in, food was cold when arrived must of been sitting around while waiting for a delivery driver to pick it up. Food should only been packed in bags when delivery driver has turned up. Was not cooked fresh.

A bit cold by the time it was delivered so needed pinging in the microwave which dried out the chicken a little. Not enough chips. Apart from that I enjoyed my KFC tea, thank you

The fries were missing from one of the meals. we had a 10 piece family feast and only had chicken legs, no breast meat. not happy

Shocking wait time for food. Sat at the order speaker for 10 minutes before somebody answered to then be sat here for 20 minutes, still waiting on our food, and all I can see is the staff standing around talking. Not good.

Chips were cold, the chicken was soggy and no drink delivered. I would like to say it's the first time I have encountered these issues but unfortunately it's not the case so won't be ordering from them again.

Possibly the worst KFC I've visited. The drive through queue was one of the longest I've encountered so I opted to go inside. Within it was total bedlam with long queues for the 2 ordering points. Then came a further lengthy delay for my order to arrive at the counter. Waiting customers were getting grumpy. Staff looked totally disinterested and appeared totally overwhelmed. My Pepsi was more or less fizzy water and to cap the experience off, there were no serviettes or straws.

Hot wings sent instead of chicken pieces, very disappointed as can’t eat hot wings, was looking forward to my chicken piece in my fillet meal box!

Would have got 5stars but where’s the bottle of Diet Pepsi when asked the driver he didn’t have a clue to question being asked and pointed to the bag next time I won’t be lazy and pick it up myself save a fiver on the service charge and delivery

Missing the drink which I paid extra for the driver didn’t seem bothered no offer to get me my drink and I have to wait ages for any kind of refund. Very unhappy.

Cold bottle of drink perched on top of my food meant that the food was cold and soggy, paper bag falling to bits. Food inedible as a result- cold and soggy- yuk!

8 legs out of 10 ridiculous plus on line is more plus delivery

25min waiting for food went up and asked why so long and got told would be at least another 10min as waiting for chicken to cook 😂 couldn't make it up. If you want fast service with happy staff this isn't the place for u. The fact delivery drivers are walking off and cancelling customers orders is not a good sign. You can see from comments from KFC they said they listen and will do better but that's all lies as this place can't cope when they get busy.
