The best restaurants serving Default food in Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

Excellent came in for a coffee booked a table for two hours it was all ready to different meals both excellent great service shall return .

What a strange place. There are advertised opening and closing times, but if you call in for a drink on one of the supposed opening times you may still find it unaccountably closed. This has happened to me several times. They’re obviously not serious about running a business so why don’t they just sell up and let it be taken over by someone who knows what they’re doing?

We have been coming to this chinese for many many years never had a bad meal yet such a lovely family so friendly I have got a gr8 friendship with the 2 daughters always so lovely and welcome best chinese in newark by miles 😊

Well the beer was nice but it's a bit run down, mostly frequented by locals, might be noisy.

Absolute rip off £7.10 for a small chips curry and fish cake !! Other chip shop down the road does fish chip and any sauce for £4!! Merry £10 for a few chips and sauce 🤯😱

Lovely little cafe that does some nice food and hot drinks. I have been multiple occasions. I do wish that they had some milk alternatives as I have asked if they have oat or almond milk a few times and I have been told they do not have these. As the demand for milk alternatives seems to be increasing maybe little oat milk sachets would be beneficial ☺️

Food was excellent although for Sunday lunch it is now two courses for £40, not £35 as the website says. The place was heaving as it was a sunny day so the service was a bit slow. No greeting on arrival, barman overworked, wine unopened when delivered to the table.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee and hot chocolate always at the right temperature. Spoilt by a loud group of elderly people who appear to meet there ever morning and stay all morning. They all try to speak at once and you can even hear them clearly from the toilets. They drown out your own conversation. Now going elsewhere or afternoons only.

I LOVED it here, only one member of staff and she was very helpful. Food was tasty, although large portions. I had a delicious portion of hunters chicken and a sticky toffee pudding. Definitely recommend :)

We enjoyed a lovely mid week meal at the Reindeer, the food was nicely presented & really tasty. The atmosphere was lovely & relaxed and the staff were friendly & helpful. A great evening, I would definitely eat there again.

Absolutely love this place- rooms are very comfortable, super bathroom but best of all the food - it’s absolutely brilliant- I always have the 1/2 portions as a sparrow eater !! Choices on bar are excellent- neck oil, still traditional cider alongside favourites and super wine choice. We stay 7 times a year and never an issue and if there was they sort immediately - it’s super and highly recommend

Raja Keeyam set feast menu. Simply the best curry I've ever eaten in my life. The range of ingredients cooked to perfection!

Stopped over in Motorhome.. ate lasagne yummy. And decided to go for breakfast too. Amazing.. you must stop over I believe it is a hotel/BB too. Great stop nice walks too. Right next to the locks on the Trent. 👍🏻😃

Food excellent quality & flavour, delivery driver polite & friendly, definitely order from there again.

Had lunch here,ordered seafood platter for 2 it was very nicely presented and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Had the dog with us so didn’t go into the main part of the pub but it all looked clean and nicely decorated.
