The Roaring Meg in Newark and Sherwood

Well the beer was nice but it's a bit run down, mostly frequented by locals, might be noisy.

Pool table. Real Ale. Open room.

I popped in at about four o'clock as I was waiting for the chip shop to open I was the only person in there I did not see any menus so assumed that they don't do food .

The food was disgusting, chips were warmed up onion rings were that hard the onion had burnt away, steak was nice but thats all could eat from my plate and half a tomato £18 x 3 plus drinks for steak and half a tomatoe .

To loud music and karaoke late night what bothering and not respect neighbours around their pub

We love the vine, it's one of only a few remaining pub pubs in Newark. Friendly atmosphere and a great place to go after work and for a game of pool.

A historical pub with a warm and welcoming feel about the place. Deffinatley a drinkers pub but one worth the visit!!

Needs a drastic renovation. Very run down and it's only been there since 2013.

Good bar staff pool table need BV a strain in up but otherwise ok

Used to be a Springhead pub, but clearly not anymore. Only cask available was Harvest Pale, in good nick though. Friendly barman, the regulars not so much. Won't be rushing back.

Didn't like it, no food on, even though sign outside, could only offer coffee and a bag of crisps, so haven't been in since.

Reasonable prices, nice family atmosphere x

Great local pub, friendly and outgoing folks. Friendly staff and great Landlady. If your visiting from out of town like me, your made to feel at home. Pool, music and fun... Great guest ales too...

Lots of trouble and the beer is not kept well.

It wasn't open an hour ago despite the opening times quoted here.
