The best restaurants serving Default food in Newark and Sherwood East Midlands

Always good food and service, never had anything bad from this place.

After our first visit three weeks ago, we came back for more, and were not disappointed. As it was freezing cold, it was time for comfort food, so I ordered the Mac & cheese with garlic bread, and pulled meat chilli as an extra topping. Oh my word! It was sublime, truly. The Inner Man was deeply and profoundly warmed and cheered, as was the Inner Woman, as my friend had the lasagne. We love this place, with its fine ambience, great service and lovely food, and can’t wait to come again.

Lovely Chinese, however the delivery driver was the rudest women I have ever met !!

Decent takeaway, used a few times when visiting Center Parcs. Cash only, but cash point available at Tesco or Asda. Portions are a good size.

We’re so happy to have rediscovered The Copper Beech! It’s our local pub, but we hadn’t been visiting much over the past year — until recently, when it came under new ownership. It’s now run by the previous bar manager and his wife, and they’ve truly given it a new lease of life. As a family, they’re incredibly welcoming. They always take the time to chat, and if you’re a regular, they even remember your usual drink — such a lovely touch! We’ve eaten here a few times since they returned, and the food has massively improved. Everything is freshly cooked, and it’s great to see thoughtful options for those who want to eat a bit lighter — the salads are actually delicious, not just a handful of leaves and croutons! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. On sunny days, the garden is a real hidden gem — perfect for relaxing with some food and a drink. The Sunday pub quiz is loads of fun too, with a great local crowd. We’re absolutely thrilled to have caring owners back at the helm and a local pub we genuinely want to visit. Wishing you all the success — we can’t wait to come back for a roast soon!

Went here on the Saturday, table of two. Drinks were the same price as rest of the complex, food was expensive but I would have eaten 60 of those cheeseburgers if I had the capacity to do so. The lad that served us, Jack M, was a legend and made sure everything went smoothly, food came out quickly, Great night 🔥

Disgusting facilities. Didn’t order food as after going to use the toilet facilities my shoes stunk of what should be in the toilets! Maybe if they actually cleaned the place and it didn’t stink of pish I would have ordered some food …. Avoid!

We spent nearly £100 after reading reviews from the centre parcs group. We had high hopes & expectations but sadly the food fell short, although the customer service was great & they told us when they were setting off & met us at the gate. We ordered online and was given sweet & sour prawns instead of chicken, the person who chose this dish is allergic to seafood so was unable to eat his dish of choice. We ordered 2 lots of the mixed starters and the whole lot was left as it tasted like eating pure oil especially the prawn toast, the ribs were delicious and devoured though! We also ordered chicken satay but believe we were also given the wrong dish for this as the website states peanuts and spicy and this dish was the complete opposite with no nuts or spice and not like any other satay we’ve had before. The salt and pepper prawns were soggy and had no flavour. Rice and noodles were delicious, it’s just a shame the main things weren’t. As we were only there for a few days and it is a long walk to the gates and back, we didn’t think it was worth calling back to see if we could have at least got a replacement for the incorrect dishes.

Beautiful food, the donner kebab was beautiful and my little boy loved his nuggets. Such lovely people and extremely kind too.

Went for lunch with the wife both of us had the pie with mash and veg there was a big shortage of veg on the plate two carrots finely sliced and three green beans beans and the mash was Luke worm but the pie was nice.

Cheesy chips was half full of the end of the night's dirty salad, did not even want salad and the pizza was cut into 1 inch thinlck slices. The food was also stale

Me and my family came to the quiz on Tuesday what can I say we had so much fun and we did in fact win whooppp, We also came for dinner and the pub had such an amazing offer on 2 meals and 2 drinks for £20 you can’t got wrong, the food was amazing, we was served by Tom who was very chatty and had a smile on his face the whole time, we will definitely be back for the quiz next Tuesday at 7:30pm see you guys then ☺️☺️
