As a local business our clients love a stroll to this lovely country pub. Fabulous outdoor seating if it’s just a drink and often our clients will pre order pizzas for their stay. We always get 10/10 reviews on departure. Thank you to all the Staff & Management ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not very impressed at all ,very clicky experience with regulars being served before others .we have visited here before but only for drinks and quiet . We decided to eat on our second visit and waited over 70 minutes for the ploughman’s board surly you just put on to the board ? Should not take this long , And a pizza . Whilst waiting a family of 4 arrived and they ordered and got their food before us ! Then another family arrived and got their meal before us ! And the ladies serving spoke to them in a manner as knowing them !!! Again Waiting at the bar for service 2 customers served before us even though we was clearing seen to be waiting . the food was nice when we eventually got it but please serve other customers when they are ordering before regulars as this experience is not acceptable at all .also advertised with bread and hot no bread !!

We were recommended this place last year as a nice place to stop for food whilst boating along the Trent. We’d been to all the other pubs in the area up and down the Trent but had not tried this yet. Well we are glad we did! We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with starters and deserts, all courses were very nice and cooked well. The price is also very reasonable. The staff were attentive and friendly. We will be coming back to try the pizzas and the the beer garden when the weather warms up. We will also use this place to bring family & friends when we have our trips out on the boat! See you soon! 😃

Visited pub with parents and daughter on Bank Holiday Monday. Almost all of menu available (a couple of minor items, they'd run out of). Service was quick , choice of vegetarian and gluten free food available (none actually designated GF but there are options with some thought, aware of this as I'm coeliac!!). Sat outside in sun, plenty of space, food arrived first, left to own devices to enjoy it, no hurrying and immediate clearing away by staff. Excellent chips!!! Really pleasant atmosphere and very reasonable prices indeed. Well worth a relaxed visit. Very impressed indeed.

Went in on Sunday, service was a bit slow to start with but once everything got going we had a lovely time. The Sunday menu is roasts and a risotto, would like a couple of other options for example fish, but if you want a Sunday roast, then it’s spot on! Plenty of well prepared vegetables with the mains, but what stood out was the pate, it was exceptional, wasn’t going to have a starter but got tempted! They also have a super English sparkling wine, well worth the £45.00 for the bottle as knocked the spots off the veuve cliquot at £5 more! It’s definitely worth a visit, would have loved the option of a cheese board for desert, but a lovely friendly local pub with delicious food

We don't mind pie in a bowl; however we don't like a stew with very little meat and loads of gravy half covered with a thin slice of frozen puff pastry. Therefore the chips were soggy and the mountain of frozen peas unappetising. Some fresh veg in a side dish would have been much nicer. Obviously the catering staff couldn't be bothered. The young ladies serving were pleasant but we all know how embarrassing it is to complain when with friends. The best way is not to revisit. How disappointing, thought we had found a better place when we first visited, but there is no consistency.

The food was great and portion sizes really big. We were shown to our pre booked table and given a menu but then after waiting 15 minutes for The guy to come back, I gave up and stood at the bar to place our food order. I then waited around 10 minutes whilst others waiting were being served their drinks . I appreciated that they were obviously short staffed and am generally a patient person but it would have been nice to have been acknowledged whilst waiting. However once our order was placed the wait time was average

I went for lunch with my husband and friends. The food was lovely, I had fish and chips, there was plenty of bread and large portions, I was struggling towards the end, but it was too nice to leave. If you like seafood they do a lovely platter that my friend had, also a vegetarian version. One of the best things about the waggon and horses is their beer, Blue Monkey and delicious!! If you don’t like beer there are plenty of other beverages to choose from, however I encourage you to try the beer. The staff were lovely, very attentive without being overbearing. Only one small gripe, the desserts were a bit sparse, and more winters than suitable for a lovely Spring day, so we went to a tearoom down the road. On the whole a lovely experience...I will definitely be going back.

Following a recommendation, we booked a table at the Waggon & Horses in Bleasby and arrived later in the afternoon for Sunday lunch and were delighted with the food, choice, price and friendly service of all the meals we ordered. Two of our party had the soup to start, which was a meal in itself, very hot and very tasty too, served with lots of slices of bread and butter. For the main meal two of us ordered the lamb and two ordered the pork, they all came served with a Yorkshire pudding, the pork with some very tasty crackling too. The food was hot, well presented and generous portions, with a good selection of vegetables to help yourself to. Only one desert was ordered (everyone was too full up) - the fruit crumble with custard - again served hot, a good portion and very tasty too.Well recommended and yes, we will return!

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. It's an old pub but very clean and bright inside. There are a couple of small steps when moving from the front door to the snug and then to the loo, but we managed. The service was very friendly and the drinks supplied quickly, but the food took ages to arrive. Food service, of a reduced menu, starts at 12:30 on a Saturday. When it came, the food was very good: a very tasty Beef and Blue Monkey Ale Casserole (excellent intense gravy) served with mash & veg and Scampi & Chips (a small portion of chips as requested). It all got eaten.

Had the beef last week and it was perfect, chose the pork this week - maybe even better, although our friends said the the beef this week was as good as they've ever had and they are both from farming stock, always nervous when we recommend somewhere to them for a roast dinner so that's definitely a compliment. Service second to none. Well done everyone at the wonderful Waggon.

I visited the wagon and horses a few weeks ago and ordered the gammon and chips. I've never seen such a small meal, it was more like the size of a snack. Nine chips and a piece of gammon less than five inches long and not even two inches wide and not very think and then made up with some salad garnish, the only thing the correct size was the Pine apple. For a village country pub I felt the size of the meal was very poor. For the amount of people in the restaurant the service was very slow. I wont be going to this pub again for anything.

We visited the Waggon and Horses yesterday evening for my Mother's birthday following the good reviews it had received on tripadvisor. Having booked a table, we arrived and informed the waitress who dismissively gestured in the direction of our table from behind the bar and told us 'you're over there at the back'. Assuming she was just busy we proceeded to ask about the possibility of booking a taxi home. The waitress was unfortunately again very unhelpful. We ignored this and carried on until we were presented with our menus. Despite there only being one couple in the restaurant alongside us we were handed two menus between five people and told that they did not have any more. At this point we decided that three bad omens were enough and we would rather go elsewhere where we would hopefully be more valued. I have never left a restaurant/pub before eating and while we may have just had a bad experience I highly doubt that we will be returning. Considering the good reviews we had high expectations but even moderate expectations would not have been met.
