forget yummys newark pancake rolls bland beansprouts and 2 small prawns thats it 1/4 crispy duck never beef curry like stew lack of taste and could not taste curry just full of mushrooms never again

I was pleasantly surprised not only at the vegetarian options that are available as a vegetarian usually takeouts the options are really limited but here there was loads of option 🤩. Also the quality of the food was outstanding, we all really enjoyed our meals, I had a mock chicken satay which tasted amazing 😋. The service was lovely greeted with a smile and really helpful, when I was unsure what Cantonese chicken was like the young lady was very helpful. Overall very satisfied will come again! Ty!

Chow mein was greasy with no vegetables other than bean sprouts. Curry sauce was flavourless and watery. Virtually no egg or colour on the egg fried rice. Very overpriced for what we received vs other Chinese takeaways that we've tried in Newark and small portions. Only used them once before a couple of years ago and it was bad then, but thought we'd try again as they're local and our preferred Chinese takeaway wasn't open, but they were still just as bad - can't understand how they get any positive reviews!

As a regular to yummy Chinese takeaway, it’s t8me to review them. We are regular for the food, it’s good… but their service is absolutely appalling. Once again our order is over an hour late being delivered. This is every time we have ordered for delivery. To make matters worse we usually go to collect after pre ordering and even then you know that they have literally just started cooking it as you pay on arrival. It’s such a shame that good takeaway food, which is far from the cheapest is always let down by the abysmally poor service. We have called to chase our order and suddenly we are 5old they are just 5 mins away… very convenient. If you want good food, give it a go but only if you are prepared to be left waiting for hours for delivery or sitting around for a5 least 30 mins while they prepare and cook your food. Despite pre ordering…. Disappointed yet again, thanks yummy. I wanted to eat at 1830 not 2000………

Review was sloppy just like me poo The boy on the phone spoke in a very sexy way which was nice I walked in and the toilet stall doors were missing which was a great idea Love it

while dog sitting we had a chinese from yummys , very nice better than last time.we will go again soon, a lot better than some we have tryed in town.

I have had tried various Chinese restaurants and takeaways but this is definitely the worst! Ordered a beef curry, egg fried rice and beef chow mein. I couldn't even begin to describe how bad the curry was. Thick and gloopy with a rancid after taste. Literally ate about a quarter of it and couldn't physically stomach any more. This is the first Chinese curry I've had that had carrot strips in it. I would say avoid at all costs unless you like wasting money!

Never again,shop not very clean,small portions,the sauce on both meals were just slightly flavoured water,the so called chicken was absolutely shocking not much flavour or chicken and quite slimey,the beef was ok and the chips were nice,don't know how it has good reviews

To the comment regarding the watery sauce I agree tasteless and couldn't add a little bit of chopped garlic to my dish witch I order every time lolthey have let themselves go a little shame really

Great food at a good price nice and local to me too which is a big bonus. There salted chilli ribs are my favourite. Crispy beefs good too

Over an hour late on Mothers Day. Explained we were going to eat as a family...when chased no apology...when recieved, cold, bland and disgusting. AVOID. Plenty of other places far more worthy of peoples custom.

Ordered over £60 worth of food. Took over 2hours though told hour when ordered. They phoned to say one dish not available an hour & half after order placed. Girl on phone very rude, no customer service, shocking attitude.

Just ordered from yummy in Newark I normally love it here but it took an hour and a half for my order to come and when it came it was cold we called the restaurant twice and told us 15 minutes it will be out to you When it came the driver was rude and when we got the food on the plates everything apart from the curry sauce was cold I called to inform the resturant of the upset She said nothing they can do They can collect the food... in the current climate food places are not supposed to be taking food back I am currently isolating from Covid positive contact and they just said they arnt willing to replace the meal or even take some money off due to the fact we waited an extra 30 minutes for cold food Really annoying because I have always really enjoyed the food from here they are normally really lovely and helpful I like to support a local business however I don’t appreciate paying for a meal that’s cold 🤷🏼‍♀️ It is so dangerous to serve semi warm chicken and fish and the fact they couldn’t even accept the fact they’ve not served hot food is even more irresponsible... After trying to discuss the issue with the manager he said “I can’t hold the line too long so are you finished yet” I am honestly gobsmacked.

The best Chinese in Newark. The food is always hot, it is never ever greasy. They always deliver at the time they say they are going to. Yes, sometimes you have wait an hour or two hours, but waiting for good food is very worth it! The staff are always friendly and polite. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Had our first Chinese from here as usually go to a different one. Won’t be going back to our usual one anymore, food was warm on delivery, really tasty and a good price. Portions sizes are plenty big enough and the chips were amazing.

We have been using this place for around 8 months now quite regular. It is by far the best we have had in Newark over a space of many years. Friendly phone staff they always give you an accurate delivery time. Yes sometimes the wait is long but it is worth it and we are told in advance. Good is always very hot! Great selection of dishes. I feel it’s beautifully cooked and has a fresh flavoured feel to it. Portion sizes are very good value, The delivery people used are also very friendly! We are so glad we have found a new Chinese takeaway that ticks all the boxes for me and my family.. Please don’t change your an asset to Newark ♥️♥️

Ive never had a Chinese Takeaway in Newark before so can only comment on this one visit. The young lady behind the counter was very efficient. I had phoned my order earlier and arrived 30mins early to collect. My order was soon ready. It was all very tasty and of good quality. The crispy duck for the pancakes was a bit overdone. But the king prawn chow mein was good and the lemon chicken was enjoyable with more than enough lemon sauce. The total price was quite high. Will have to compare other Chinese now 😉

Ordered tonight...2 hour wait after being told an hour, food is ok, wouldn't bother ordering again

Food is ok if you’re lucky enough it turns up. Avoid ringing for a delivery as it’s always late and I don’t just mean a few minutes, it can be hours. Don’t pay on your card over the phone as once they’ve got payment I’m convinced you go to the back of the queue. Last Saturday ordered at 5pm and was told “it will be with you within the hour” 6.20 I called and was told “we’re really busy it will be with you soon” no apology. 7.15 I called again and was told “it’s on it’s way, it left 3 minutes ago” 8pm I called again, 9pm I called again, 9.25 pm it finally showed up,no apology given. Had lost appetite by the time it arrived so we picked at it and the dogs had a feast. Avoid the delivery service if you do go here and be prepared to wait if collecting even if you’ve phoned and arranged a collection time.

have passed by often, why not try.we phoned order, when arrived nice and hot.spring rolls large, chicken balls, and egg fried rice, all very nice. we also had hong kong style sweet and sour chicken, not very nice tasted like lumps of flour.. we will try again soon.

Another lovely meal from Yummy! Service with a smile from the young lass who served us followed by a short wait for the food to be cooked to order. Seated waiting area with a telly to watch and magazines to read. Plenty of parking outside with a neighbouring shop to purchase a bottle to go with the meal. Highly recommended take away! Another amazing takeaway..... yet again..

Used to use a lot but stopped due to being told half an our and it taking two or more used again first time in about a year told around and hour maybe one and a half came after an hour. Well worth the wait much better the tender salt and chilli ribs and shredded crispy beef were the best I've ever had much improved keep it up il be back again soon

Well !!! waited 1,1/2 hours for it to arrive and I can say, I'm not hungry but the bin enjoyed most of it, it was honestly the worst special fryed rice iv had.

Favourite chinese, food is amazing but it Takes about 1:30/2 hours to be delivered which can be very disappointing.

Different food put into the same bag spare ribs put in the same bag as the chicken mini rolls so mini rolls taste of spare rib and the beef and mushroom is 90% mushrooms next to no beef. Not using this takaway again dissapointed

The food is really good. However be aware that delivery time may be a while if ordered over phone. I recommend you wait inside take away as this speeds things up.

Ordered at 6:15pm and was told it'd be delivered approx 7:45. At 8:00pm phoned as still hadnt arrived, to then be told it would still be another half an hour before itd be delivered. First time used and the last!
