Manager always keeps it spotless and she and her staff are always friendly. No matter how busy it is the staff are always attentive. We love the pub

We came for a Sunday roast, the food was great, the service was equally as good, we will be visiting again. The manager, Holly, was welcoming and made us feel comfortable.

I came for a very resonantly priced Sunday roast which was cooked to perfection! It was that good I complimented the head chef Richard myself! The front of house staff were great! The manageress Holly was warm, friendly and made us feel very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble! Will definitely be coming again!

Great little place for a family tea! Food was amazing and Jordan looked after us well! Couldn’t have given us better service! ☺️

Holly and the team are great and always look after you! The food is always spot on, the steaks are the best. Always a great selection of cask ales and even have a loyalty card system for them. We shall be back very soon!

Quiz with Tom and Sam was great, they kept it fun and fair with their questions. The pub had some great vibes all round and the staff were very friendly and accommodating!

Always have a great time at the Magna Charta, Holly and her team always look after us so well. The food is amazing, the Hot Honey chicken burger is delicious. It gets really busy at the weekends so I would advise booking.

Went for the Tuesday pub quiz. Hats off to Tom and Sam running the quiz. Was great fun and a laugh. Had some dinner too as well as desert. Wide range of vegetarian options for me and food was quick and tasted great! Will definitely be going again!!

We visit the Magna Charta regularly, passing several other pubs with restaurants on the way. Holly and her staff are always friendly and welcoming however busy they are. They are always happy to make alterations to the menu or substiutions to suit our requirements. On our last visit we were served by Shanice.

Shanice was particularly helpful and efficient , the food was excellent as always . This asks for more words than is necessary

We had Family visiting for the weekend and booked a wheelchair accessible table that also had space for a pram… Neve served us, she was friendly and looked after us well, the food was delicious , 2 family members had the steak, commenting it was the best they have tasted….! - Overcooked. - Food was cold by time in came out. - Long wait for Food. - Long wait for drinks. - Although the staff were friendly, service wasn’t great. No one came over to ask for drinks, had to ask when they brought the food out. Then they took that long we had finished our food before the drinks even came out.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch , was hot tasty, staff polite and helpful, sweet delicious, nice afternoon out .would recommend Sunday roast here.

As locals, it’s easy to say positive things… but I can honestly say it’s a warm welcome from Holly, her management team & whole staff every time we visit, not just for us but all those that come through the doors! Food is always out in a timely fashion, good quality, hot etc etc…. The array of drinks available is of a great standard & options are endless! Fantastic enclosed beer garden with great facilities for young children.

The foods are nice. The place is clean. The staff, Holly is lovely. She was very accommodating and see to it that we were served well with our orders and kept checking if everything is okay.. We enjoyed our dinner.

As always another great family meal here, food seems to just be a level above other green kings and the service is always excellent! Didn't really get to use the outdoor area much being December! But I'm always happy to travel that extra bit in summer for the beer garden alone, the park is perfect for letting the kids run wild whilst you soak up the sun with a beer

After my sister's funeral we held her Wake at the Magna Charta. After being welcomed by the staff we were presented with a fabulous buffet which included assorted sandwiches, pork pies, quiche, salads and slaw, etc. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our grateful thanks to Holly and her team.

Just had to write a quick review on the ribeye steak I had. It was cooked to perfection. After going to Son of Steak in town and chewing my way through a very expensive sirloin, this more than restored my faith in good old British steak and chips. Thankyou.

Went back to Notts today , Xmas , family etc after living in BJ I was familiar with this place , so we met half way . Not eaten in here before but it was superb , great environment, delicious food and well what can you say about the service , Shanice , take a bow !

Friends Christmas Party. We booked a table for 8 & chose from the Festive 3 course menue. We had precooked & paid a deposit. The was ready whrn we arrived. The staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious, everyone commented on hiw good it was so being the organisers that was great to hear. We had a great night & looked after well by the staff, thank you.

Great steak great service. Had a crispy squid starter which I really enjoyed. My main was a ribeye steak which was delicious . Sadly we didn't have room for a dessert.

Have been visiting the Magna for a while now and have always found Holly and the team to be professional and friendly. They literally can't do enough to make sure your visit is perfect. Would certainly recommend anyone to visit.

Been here a fair few times and never had any faults. But tonight, we came out as a family for a birthday meal and what an awful experience we had! We was seated in the most awkward area. We had a child with us who required a highchair. They could not of put us in the most smallest areas if they tried. The gentleman that took our food order took down our starters and mains. Unfortunately after having our starters the experience started. He asked us if we wanted dessert menus while clearing away our starters. We was a bit confused after having told him our mains as well. I had to go over to the bar to ask a waiter if the mains had been put through and his response was 'have you not received your mains yet'. After receiving our mains we was not asked if everything was ok with our food. A short while after a couple of us were still eating our meals and a waitress then approached the table to take down our dessert orders. We was still eating which I thought was very rude. We felt rushed. Overall experience was shocking. Totally gone down hill!!

Once again would like to say what a lovely meal I had at the Magna Carta, had something different to what I always have (burger, fries , coleslaw , onion rings) garlic mushrooms for starter, and Raspberry cheesecake, ice cream , raspberry sauce) staff very welcoming,helpful, and polite. I came here with my family and we had the lunch menu. I have a nut allergy and they brought me a separate menu on an Ipad with all the food that I can have which I really like. Also, the food was amazing.
