Large cup of Hot Chocolate with delicious cream is really large. Looks amazing. Location of Costa is good. Just next to one of main roads in Newark. Close to Mark and Spencer and close to BP petrol station. Small but new interior of cafe makes this place unique. It's not my last visit here. Will cone back for another cup of hot chocolate

We dropped in for Sunday lunch, as we were staying on the campsite behind the pub. We were warmly welcomed, our drinks order taken at the bar and our food order taken at our table. My wife chose the roast lamb and I had the pork - there are also the options of beef or chicken, plus a vegetarian roast. We chose the standard sized meals not knowing how large they would be. Well, take a look at the attached photos! We were stunned and you can even add another Yorkshire pudding for a quid! The quality of the food was excellent and I can honestly say that this was the first roast I have eaten in nearly 65 years that had ten, (yes, ten!) accompanying portions of vegetables! To say we were stuffed would be an understatement. For those who don’t fancy trying the standard plateful, there is a slightly smaller offering for a quid or so less. Either way, you get a great roast meal for a really reasonable price. For two roasts and two soft drinks, we paid £30.15, which in anyone’s book, is a real deal. Neither of us could manage a dessert, but there are some lovely options! Last, but definitely not least, the staff were lovely and very attentive. We would definitely recommend this pub for a cracking good meal.

When you walk in you are acknowledged and welcomed. Ian is a star in keeping his beers in tip top condition whereas Jackie runs the kitchen with speed and efficiency. The food is real - not boil in the bag and the variation in specifically theme nights every week means you don’t get tired of the menus. This pub is a must if you are within 30 miles its well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

On our way to Lincoln but got stranded due to floods and blocked roads. Saw the White Swan Inn So popped in and asked could we possibly stay the night on the carpark in our motorhome. No hesitation,we were welcomed and given perfect directions on how to avoid floods in the morning. We ate a very large delicious piping hot Roast meal with a big jug of gravy. Washed down with great beers. Lovely atmosphere, very reasonable price for the food and drinks. Back to the motorhome with our new directions to Lincoln. Slept like logs. Will definitely call back and really recommend The White Swan for great food and great hosts.

The worst gyros I have ever tried. Basically it's got nothing to do with the Greek gyros. The chicken was not even gyros style. Pita was cold and old. Just awful. The location was good and the pricing reasonable but that's about it. Not recommended

Edited. Previously was a good review, however since finding out how badly staff and suppliers were treated by the owner I wish I’d never stepped inside the place. Seemingly the owner isn’t capable of running a fit and proper business, which is perhaps why this has now closed down in Newark.

Visited here today after a walk along the river, was very disappointed. I had a latte which was bitter and my partner a tea which was undrinkable and we both had a scone each, with jam and cream, no butter, which had obviously been frozen and then defrosted, they were hard and crumbly. The most disappointing part was that everything was served in cardboard trays and cups and there were no trays to carry the food out on. This meant that I had to take everything out in two trips, this was not a problem in itself but this all suggests to me that the staff are too lazy to do things properly and to use proper plates, cups and cutlery. So for two virtually inedible scones and two drinks we paid £12 which is daylight robbery and if the staff continue in an this way I can't be see them having a business for much longer especially as all the other cafes etc we saw were very busy.
