The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Absolutely disgusting. Delivered food that was cold wasn’t fit for human consumption , the food was delivered at 8:40 from an order placed at 6:15 straight from the seat of a car in a box, no warm bag or anything. I will be reporting these to the councils food standards. I have had bad take sways before but this was on another level, nothing was edible or even warm

I ordered from this restaurant and received horrible customer service. I was verbally abused over the phone when the issue could have been sorted with a civil conversation

Takeaway Absolutamente horrible. Nunca más. Ahorra tu dinero. La salsa grasienta y ultra dulce cubrió la carne crujiente que no era crujiente en absoluto nadando en salsa. Fideos grasientos y otros platos lo suficientemente malo que tiré a la papelera. Me sorprende que este lugar está comerciando con las malas críticas. Nunca más.

Delicious food, generous ingredients, packaged considerately and came hot and on-time! Would recommend!

Very disappointed with the food and service. We pre ordered for 6:15PM and driver arrived at 6:05PM, so we was OK being early, we have CCTV so we watched him park up then sat up the road in his car for 10 minutes coz he was early. By the time he came up with it at 6:15 it was just about warm. Portion size was poor and not very nice and this morning don't feel too good so will definitely not be going back again.

Fast delivery. I live in frodsham and when it arrived it was still piping hot. Food was lovely. I ordered then looked at the reviews (backwards I know) so I was panicked as there are some bad of late but the food was delicious! I had chips, rice, curry and beef chow mein. Portions were massive so i will have leftovers tomorrow. Delivery lady was lovely too. Thanks so much :)

Best Chinese take-away! The sweet n sour chicken balls are perfect - generous, real chicken pieces in crispy batter. The sauce isn’t too sweet nor brightly coloured. The chicken and king prawn chow-mein dishes were delicious! Thank you, Happy Wok!

Lovely meal and good portion sizes as always. The meal for one is enough for two people if you have a starter as we do but there was no sweet n sour sauce for our battered chicken balls. So a bit disappointing. Won’t stop us ordering again though.

Food was very tasty, especially the salt and pepper items, the majority of people’s poor reviews seem due to delivery issues, we collected our food and everything was piping hot and fresh. Will come back for sure.

Been ordering from Tasty Wok for several years now, can’t say I’ve ever had any issues with them. Food is always fresh and tasty and ready in a good time whether collecting or getting delivered. Just ordered tonight, and while they forgot 1 curry sauce (which is a first they’ve ever forgotten anything), everyone makes mistakes once in a while, as I also forgot to order a special fried rice with the order, so they sent out my curry sauce and ordered my mistakenly forgot to order special fried rice very promptly, and as an apology for forgetting the curry sauce, they included some more prawn crackers for free, so very much appreciated.

Well I am certainly glad I did not go by the reviews as I had a lovely meal. The last review was 2019. My first time ordering from here December 2020 and I can confirm that the food was good. It was delivered hot and well worth getting. Would order from there again definitely.

No tengo idea de cómo era este lugar bajo los viejos dueños, pero ahora es muy agradable. Acabo de tomar una comida para llevar muy buena de House Chow Mien in Sauce y Xiu Mai dim sum dumplings. Tómalo de una persona asiática, la comida es decente. Hay comida china absolutamente terrible (como la de Rotherhithe Street), ¡pero esta no es una de ellas! La comida estaba caliente y sabrosa, cocinada a la perfección, y venía con galletas de gambas gratis. ¿Visitaría de nuevo?

This is no longer the Hong Kong Restaurant and is now called the Bamboo House, so I assume it is under new ownership and management. In the past as the Hong Kong, it appears it did not have a good reputation, hence the three star rating. Today we had a party of 12 visit the restaurant, since it’s one of the few that open on Saturday lunch time. Each person had their own menu item and they were all dished out at almost the same time, with little waiting time. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. The service was efficient, discreet, courteous, and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. I do not usually write reviews but the experience here was, to me, exceptional. It is a shame they have not registered their name change with trip advisor, and become weighed down by the Three stars of the Hong Kong I thoroughly recommend giving this new restaurant a try
