Best Chinese take-away! The sweet n sour chicken balls are perfect - generous, real chicken pieces in crispy batter. The sauce isn’t too sweet nor brightly coloured. The chicken and king prawn chow-mein dishes were delicious! Thank you, Happy Wok!

I think they are the best Chinese around. Food is always hot and on time even on a Saturday night.

First time used as a takeaway and it arrived very quickly. Both my husband and I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, and if we need a delivery again we will think of the Happy Wok

Had a takeaway from here before that was really nice, however this evening was a disappointment I’m sorry to say. The ribs and chicken satay were so dry, they were inedible and the curry, although fairly tasty, was a gloopy mess. I’m afraid it was bad enough to make me not order from here again. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this was an exceptionally poor meal.

My go to Chinese, always delicious!

Good service but we had a large order for 10 so spent £100 and would have expected complimentary prawn crackers, we didn't order any as they usually get thrown in for spending far less by other restaurants so that was disappointing! Also the lemon chicken was poor - soggy and tasteless. The Yuk Sung was lacking enough lettuce leaves but the filling was tasty.....but the rest was good :)

Arrived 20 mins early, but prawn crackers were stale, salt and chilli chicken was okay, chips and chicken balls weren't great at all, had 2 and threw rest away.

I ordered 5 coca cola's with my meal, 1 turned up, why is it hard for restaurants to include drinks you've paid for! Food is nice! But £5 out of pocket!

Food is nice and fresh and not oily, only complaint is that they don't update the app before delivery, but delivery is nearly always early.

Inl ordered the starter platter. Quality of the chicken satays were debatable, even for my dog. The prawn toast seemed stale and hardly any filling. Ribs and seaweed were ok. Wouldn't order again

the food quality is ALWAYS amazing, and this time it came 30minjtes earlier which was amazing because it was perfectly at dinner time when we were starting to get hungry

First experience with just eat tonight and I’m generally really impressed with how quickly the food arrived and how hot it was still. Other deliveries we’ve had have almost always arrived cold, so this was welcomed surprise. The driver was really nice too! Shame the food lacked any flavour though. I’d definitely try just eat again, but won’t be ordering from this restaurant again.

My favourite local Chines always 5* food :)

Delivery driver was pleasant and food hot and on time. The flavour and quality however was not worth the money. The chowmein used thick noodles, the pork was dry and the whole thing was greasy which was the same for the rice, overly greasy. The pekingese crispy beef was tough, dry and lacked no flavour with almost zero sauce. Sweet and sour chicken peking style was very sweet and gloopy, not much sour going in. It was edible, but it wasn't the best and I wouldn't go back unfortunately.

I have to post! They have always delivered great, tasty food, way before the time line ...but tonight they went the extra mile! We were in the middle of watching the Wizard of Oz at night club music level 😄 and they delivery driver kept knocking ...I think he said 5 mins!!!!!! It was when there was a break in the song we heard 6 massive knocks on the door!!!! Obvs mortified we didn't hear!!! But utterly grateful!!! Amazing place and people ❤️

Food was nice enough but could do with a little more seasoning. The chicken fried rice in particular, needed a bit more frying as it was like boiled rice and needed a little soy sauce.

This order was cancelled as it took 2hrs to come. Still waiting for my refund.

Small mishap with order, called restaurant direct, resolved immediately, I have to say this is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever used and I have used a few! Genuinely- Awful. Almost everything went straight in to the bin. The Squid stunk. Literally spat it out and threw it away. We will never order again.

Took two hours from ordering to delivery - with a phone call and our order, when it finally arrived, was missing the prawn crackers. We’ll go back to New China One next time!

Everything great, however the fried rice is not fried. I’m just sat eating white rice.

The chow mein was very dry, salt and chili chicken had a strange spongy texture, and the special fried rice wasn't fried.

The starters were the best part. Main dishes were pretty bland and flavourless. Seaweed did not have more than a mouthful. Chicken balls were cold. Satay sauce was not great. The pancake rolls were probably the only thing I felt they did right. Probably wouldn't order here again.

Wrong order, sweet and sour prawns and forget the sweet and sour sauce! Binned the prawns as couldn’t be bothered to wait, tried to call and engaged! Not difficult to get right when the order is typed out and sent over to you!!!!! Crispy duck more like fatty / limp duck with what looked like uncooked wraps (is that even possible)??

The driver couldn’t be bothered to use the post code so went to the wrong place. That added to the already late delivery time. I called and the guy at the restaurant was barely apologetic. The driver then rang to check the address as he had gone to the wrong place. The meal eventually arrived and an item was missing. I called and the barely apologetic person said, I think, that they would bring the missing item. We finished our meal and the door bell rang and it was the final item. The food was ok, nothing spectacular but it was slightly cool Chinese food so expected. I won’t be hurrying back given the choice available.

The food was mediocre, and they sent the wrong items.

i generally don't complain but the pancake rolls were off and went in the bin. how this even happens in a Chinese takeaway is beyond me. the duck was so dry I can only assume it had been heated and reheated for 3 days. have ordered from Happy Wok for years and always good quality but not this time. are they under new management? either way I won't order again
