Vin's in Windsor and Maidenhead

Tried for the first time. Not easy to find but clean and quick service after ordering upon arrival. Food hot and freshly cooked especially the satay chicken skewers which looked appetising, not covered in sticky sauce. The sauce was in a separate container although not enough for four skewers but that was the only criticism. Would recommend and will return

the worst experience ever found what can only be described as a mouse tail in my rice ill never return

This place has been open here for years and always been good. Recent change of ownership made it even better with new flavours. Shredded beef and salt and chilli chicken are signature dishes that live up to the name. Excellent food and service, best in the area by far. Will be coming back so keep up the good work!

we have ordered from vins for years but the last few times it has got progressively worse! I think they must have new owners, alot of the dishes we used to love are now tasteless and we both felt quite ill after. we had to throw most of it away.

Food is good , not too greasy compared to most Chinese takeaways in the area. I like the fact they deliver. I would definitely have this as first choice in North Maidenhead/ FurzePlatt.

These are the best pancake rolls I've ever had , Chinese food at its best , also lovely chicken curry. ..... this place has turned a corner. ... IT'S FANTASTIC

I still enjoy the cooking from this 'local' takeaway and order at least once a fortnight. I do worry when I read the 'negatives' here because to me, it does not seem like they are talking about the same place and maybe are being a little unethical by recommending their own favourite place while reviewing another?

Got through on the phone after 2 aborted attemps, Great food and speedy delivery all recomended Sweet sour Chicken Balls, Beef Chow Mein, Spicy Shreaded Beef, Special Fried Rice, Thai Red Curry and FOC Prwan Crackers

I have done the full tour of most of the Chinese establishments in Maidenhead and as far as I am concerned this is the best. Great menu with a varied choice of Chinese food cooked just right and with a good selection of English dishes and curries for those in the family who would prefer an alternate to Chinese food. Makes life easy for the large family or group of friends who want to just call one place for their delivery..

I have not had a Chinese takeaway for a long time. Ordered from vins tonight and was very impressed. Food was great value, great quality prawns, chicken with crunchy not overcooked vegetables. Also ordered 2 dishes MSG free which was fab! Recommended.

The food here 20 years ago was the best in Maidenhead, now it's rubbish, rubbish big time , go to the Chinese around the corner the lopster pot .... fantastic food always. .. yum yum

After ordering from Vins many times before and being happy with the food, this was a massive let down. The Kung pao prawns were watery, salty and was more pineapple than prawns. The rice was flavourless and slightly undercooked. The chicken omelette was wet, salty and had a lot of egg shell in it, also, the sweet and sour chicken balls were pink and damp inside- not due to the sauce. Won't be ordering from them anymore.

Vins seem to offer only Cantonese food, whether we want it or not. Given that this style of cooking is pretty bland, it is not surprising that several people have commented on the lack of taste & texture. I don't think there is anything actually wrong with Vins now, it's just the way Cantonese food is prepared that makes us want something different. When Chinese restaurants first became popular here, everyone thought Cantonese was exotic. In most cases, our tastes have changed while the food on offer has not. Good points are that the service is quick & they are often open when other takeaways are closed.

The worst Chinese food in Berkshire, I've lived in maidenhead for 25 years and this was the best Chinese takeaway but about 5 years ago it went down hill, and has gone more down hill every year..... Never again...... Maidenhead has many good Chinese takeaways.... This is the worst.......

ordered a Chinese from vin's last week, when it arrived (almost an hour after placing the order) the 2 soups we had ordered had leaked all over the other dishes in the bag due to a faulty lid on the soup containers.. this caused the satay chicken skewers and king prawn dishes to be soaking wet in soup. We phoned vin's immediately to tell them what had happened and they were BEYOND rude. They basically asked us what we wanted them to do about it, we said the majority of our order was ruined and after 20 minutes on the phone to them complaining about what had happened, they only offered us 5% off our next order which in our eyes is completely unacceptable. Will not be using them again.

Have used this Chinese takeawy for some years. The delivery always comes before the stated time sometimes almost catching me out. A wide selelction even fish and chips can be delivered although they have never heard of mushy peas!

This place has gone down hill big time, it was fantastic 2 years ago the best in maidenhead, but now it's the worst, go to the lobster pot fantastic Chinese food, I will not go here again........ LOBSTER POT IS THE BEST FOR CHINESE food

This used to be the best Chinese takeaway in Maidenhead, bar no other.First visit in 6-7 years and the chef has obviously changed, as the Singapore noodles look totally different to the orange vermicelli noodles of old.Still not bad food, just a bit bland and lacking punch.

Nice Chinese food and very good delivery service we are lucky to have so many great takeaways in maidenhead you will never starve in this town
