The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Been coming to Kens for 40 years now,finest chinese in the land, chicken curry still the best.. Great staff very helpful. Singapore Chow Mein also is gorgeous. Probably the only Chinese take away I know where everyone refers to it as Kens(the owner) as opposed to it's real name Sunrise. Now has his sister helping out on the counter. Great service. Probably tried everything on the menu by now all great and tasty. Looking forward to him opening again think I have Chicken Curry deficit!! Just keep going back for a chicken curry hot hot hot

A hidden gem, dim sum is amazing.

This Chinese is exceptionally good the food is to die for I can’t believe my luck to live near this Chinese there is no wheelchair access but they take your order and bring it to you at the door it’s take away only but believe me the food is worth it I recommend the chicken and mushrooms oh and the chicken chow mein omg I feel hungry I’m off to have a Chinese from here in minutes yummy

Good prices but food is Very average

First time trying this place for a Chinese and truly wish I hadn’t!!! Was told that my order would take 20 minutes but sat there for 45 minutes constantly being told “few minutes more”. I think the guy realised I was getting annoyed and just before I was about to ask for a refund I finally got the food but when I got home less than a mile away I found the food was only just warm??? but worst of all the Chow Mein was very salty, stodgy and greasy, the beef dish rather than being spicy as should have been was sweet? The rice seemed to have been microwaved? Stupidly I only then decided to check the reviews and hygiene rating for this place and was horrified to see that just recently it was awarded the worst rating there is being ONE out of 5 stating that major improvements required!! 😱😱 To be honest if I had been wise enough to have checked this beforehand I would have avoided this establishment like the plague!!

Bang on Chinese, great portions and speedy

The food from this takeaway is excellent. The problem lies with the opening hours. It's almost as if they don't want the business. It's closed at the weekend. Having discovered this to our cost, we tried Friday tea time- it doesn't open then either! We thought we were safe on a Wednesday, but it was closed for the week, because the chef was unwell. This is a pity because if you can actually find it open, the food is brilliant.

Got a take away from here and it was the best stir fry iv had you will go a long way to find any better in hull

The lady who answers the phone has a very rude manner, as if I’m irritating her by ordering. I asked for the food to be well done and she reluctantly said okay. I get the peppercorn chicken wings and they’re slimey and not how I liked them. I called twice with the request to make sure they were well done, and felt sick after eating. Been coming for years but won’t be coming again. Disconnect between her and the chefs? Disappointed.

My ppl were cross with me when I told um I had ordered from here. We have always gone somewhere else, and it's been good, and none of um wanted to take the risk with somewhere new. It was a winner, though. The Welcome restaurant / takeaway probably tips it with quality, but that's Chinese fine dining and expensive. This place, though, impressed us. It's now our new regular chinese goto, definitely recommended.

Superb Chinese Takeaway - definitely the best in the area. Really nice staff, food is fresh and hot, and most importantly, delicious. It’s also the only Chinese takeaway locally that’s open on a Monday which is how we found it!
